Battle Trials Part 2

The other team was given five minutes to prepare, which Sero and I used to plan. Pointing to various windows, I explained how we'd scout the building, "Since both of us can use our quirks to scale buildings, let's check through all the windows to find them and the weapon, okay?"

He nodded, a somewhat serious expression on his face, "Knowing them, they'll probably have Tsu looking out for us because her quirk allows her to stick to walls and ceilings."

It was a surprisingly fair assessment from Sero, who then grinned, "What? I can be serious sometimes!"

I snorted softly, then glanced at the time; we had three minutes left. Thinking on the types of fighters the other two were, I then suggested, "Ojiro's a close-combat fighter, so he'll be guarding the weapon. Aoyama's quirk doesn't help him in recon, but he'll still be near the bomb to help Ojiro, so I reckon he'll just patrol the floor the bomb is on."

Sero nodded again, "That sounds about right; so we'll just have to avoid Tsu as much as we can and look for either of the other two."

I smiled, then high-fived Sero, "My thoughts exactly."

We then lazed about and chatted idly until the timer was up, then approached the building's front door and checked the outer walls for Tsu. When our brief search came up clear, we split up and started running around the perimeter of the first floor; they might've pulled some reverse psychology and hidden it on the ground floor for all we knew.

After we ran around the entire building and had spotted neither the weapon nor Tsu on the walls, we split up again and started climbing up the outer walls, checking for our opponents through the windows. We cleared the second floor without incident, but once we'd moved onto the third floor, Sero called in through the earpiece, "Tsu's on the outer wall on my side, what should I do?"

I tutted, but Tsu spotting us at some point had been unavoidable, "Hide inside the building, then lead her downstairs, lose her, and come back out to keep searching with me."

Sero chuckled through the comms, "Sure thing, chief."

Since Sero was busy trying to divert Tsu, I moved up to the fourth floor, but when I peeked in through a window, I immediately saw Aoyama walk past. He saw me out of the corner of his eye and I quickly scurried away, hiding above the window as he poked his head out to look for me. Lacking the foresight to look up, he reported in, "I just saw Y/N through the window as I was fabulously patrolling the fourth floor!"

Then, Sero's voice came through my earpiece, "Uhh, I don't think she followed me?"

Whispering so Aoyama wouldn't hear, I replied, "Come up to the fourth floor and avoid the windows- I'm on the southern side of the building."

After glancing at the sun, Sero made his way to my side of the building and clambered out of a window, soon joining me on the outer wall of the building's fourth story. Now wary of Aoyama, we checked around the corner and saw Tsu, so we checked the opposite side of the building to her's windows. Suddenly, Sero stopped and pointed through a window, then whisper-shouted, "I can see Ojiro in a room!"

He moved so I could see, and sure enough, we could see the tailed man standing idly in a room. I glanced at Sero with a nod, "That's it- he wouldn't be just standing there otherwise."

Moving a window across so Ojiro wouldn't see us, we slowly opened the window to avoid making too much noise and crept inside, quietly making our way to the room we'd seen Ojiro in. After a quick peek, we confirmed the weapon's presence, but then someone tapped us both on our shoulders, "Bonjour!"

Sero and I both jumped out of our skin as Aoyama moved to inform Tsu of our position, but I managed to hastily karate-chop his wrist away as Sero grabbed Aoyama's earpiece, taking the opportunity to tape up the sparkling hero. But our scuffle had attracted Ojiro's attention, who audibly used comms to contact Tsu, and we knew we had mere seconds before she arrived. I nodded at the doorway, the signal for us to move in, and we charged in with quirks at the ready.

Ojiro lunged at Sero, clearly trying to pin at least one of us before Tsu arrived, but I managed to yank my teammate out of the way in time for Ojiro to just barely miss. Sero glanced at me, "You gonna do the thing?"

With a smile, I nodded and placed my hand on the floor, near-invisible threads shooting out and wrapping around Ojiro's ankle. As long as I stayed put and didn't let Ojiro break free, he'd be stuck there until I decided otherwise. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Sero moved to use his capture tape on Ojiro, but movement by the doorway made him hesitate.

I glanced towards the doorway just as Tsu's tongue shot out, and since I only had one hand to defend both Sero and I, our hopes of completely blocking her attack were slim. But, as it shot towards me, be it by reflex or instinct, threads shot from my non-dominant hand and wrapped around her tongue, tightening to pull the muscle straight into my hand.

Seeing Sero finish capturing Ojiro, I released the tailed man and released him, already planning my next move. Taking advantage of the unexpected situation, I abruptly pulled Tsu towards me and mouthed 'sorry' as I moved to wrap capture tape around her. As she shot towards me, my other hand wrapped capture tape around the closest limb, thus winning the match.

After releasing Tsu's tongue, I gave her a small hug and turned to Sero with a grin, "We won!"

Returning my enthusiasm, he high-fived me, "Team Spiderman for the win!"

Then, cutting into our short celebration, All Might's voice crackled over the speakers, "Team Sero and Y/N wins!"

Walking back to the training's command center with our former opponents, Sero and I shared just how excited we were for what the future held for us.
