Emiri sat Keigo down on the couch, "Keigo, there's something I need to tell you."

Keigo's heart sunk when he heard those words come out of Emiri's mouth. He thought maybe she had changed her mind about having feelings for him.

Keigo took Emiri's hand while he waited for her to speak. He was anxious, but he could tell she was too. "Earlier, when we were at the burger place..." Emiri began, but she found herself unable to continue. She was scared something might happen again, especially after Dabi had threatened her.

She sighed and stared at their intertwined hands, studying the lines of his fingers. Keigo lightly squeezed her hand and had her look at him, "It's alright, you can tell me."

Emiri looked into Keigo's eyes and smiled sadly, "Promise me you won't get mad or go do something unreasonable."

Unreasonable? Keigo was confused now. His eyebrows furrowed and he tilted his head, waiting for her to just say it.

"Dabi messaged me, or at least I think it was him." She sighed deeply and pulled up the messages on her phone to show him.

His expression changed from confusion to anger in a matter of seconds. Emiri didn't respond to the messages and made sure to block the number before they left.

She watched Keigo's face and felt him squeeze her hand tighter. Whether it was in fear, anger, or love, she was unsure. She waited and waited, a good five minutes had passed while Keigo stared at the messages.

Finally, Keigo looked away from the messages and into Emiri's eyes. Emiri found that the eyes that were looking back at her were filled with tears slowly falling down his cheeks.

"I'm sorry, Angel. I wish he would just leave you alone, and I'm sorry I can't protect you more."

His words broke her heart, but not as much as his broke for her. He knew she was exhausted, she had been through so much in a matter of months. It wasn't fair.

None of it was fair.

And that's what made him so angry. Emiri didn't deserve any of this. From the moment he met her he could tell she was kind hearted. He knew she was special.

"Kei, it's not your fault, none of this is." Emiri squeezed his hand tighter and looked into his eyes. She knew he had also been through a lot, she knew none of this was easy for him.

She was touched that he chose to spend so much time with her, that he felt the need to protect her and how he loved her unconditionally. She thought he deserved better than her, she viewed herself as broken. Unfixable.

They both sat in silence for a while. Keigo spoke up, "Are you hungry? We never got to eat our food."

Emiri nodded and Keigo got up from the couch and walked over to the island where the food was. He brought the bags to the living room and unpacked everything while Emiri turned on the TV.

She scrolled through Netflix until she found a shitty looking romcom and pressed play.

"Do you always watch shitty shows?" Keigo asked with his mouth full.

Emiri cringed at the sight and shook her head in disappointment, "No, but they're good for distractions."

Keigo eyed her, eyebrows raised. He swallowed the bit of food he had in his mouth and leaned down near Emiri's ear, breathing on her neck and speaking lowly, "Am I not a good enough distraction?"

Emiri's face turned red and she swatted his face away, "Stop being horny you Bird Brain!"

He let out a hearty laugh and placed his arm around Emiri, kissing the top of her head lovingly.

When they finished their food and tv show, they decided it was time for bed.

Emiri took the medications she was supposed to take and changed into comfier clothes. Keigo did the same and they snuggled up under the covers.

After a few minutes, Emiri quickly drifted off to sleep in Keigo's arms. Keigo, however, couldn't sleep. Even with the comfort of Emiri, he found his mind racing.

If he were honest, it bothered him that Dabi hadn't given the stalking and torment a rest. He'd be damned if he didn't try and stop it.

He waited a couple minutes to make sure Emiri was asleep before slipping out of bed and getting dressed.

The balcony door creaked as he opened and closed it. He knew where Dabi usually hung out, and he was determined to make him stop this sick, twisted game he was playing.

Keigo hopped up onto the ledge and looked back through the balcony doors at Emiri. He watched the blanket rise and fall as she breathed and the peaceful expression on her face as she slept.

He knew in that moment that he would do anything for her. No matter what.

"What the fuck is your problem, huh?" Keigo landed another punch to Dabi's cheek. The scarred man chuckled, spitting to the side and leaving a small pool of saliva and blood.

Keigo had found Dabi at his usual hangout spot and didn't waste a second questioning him. And when Dabi didn't comply, Keigo started using violence.

"She's got you wrapped around her finger, doesn't she? I didn't think the bitch would tell you about my texts." Dabi spoke lowly and laughed in his face.

"I've been doing you a favor by not coming after you after the stunts you pulled, but this ends now. The stalking, the murder, it all ends now. If you so much as look at her I will kill you." Keigo's knuckles turned white as he gripped onto Dabi's clothes tighter.

"You wouldn't dare, you need me." Dabi glared at Keigo.

"Oh but I don't," Keigo chuckled, "I couldn't give two shits about you. And even if I did, I'd risk it all for her."

There was a moment of uncomfortable silence between the two. Keigo was fighting every urge in his body to not harm Dabi any more, but it was hard. The smug look on his face made it nearly impossible.

Keigo let go of Dabi harshly and took a step back, "You took everything from her. Just how much farther do you plan to go? Why are you so hellbent on ruining her life?"

Dabi managed to stand up and lean against the closest wall, "I'll be honest I wasn't planning on it at first. Her mom couldn't keep her nosy ass out of my business and it got her killed." He chuckled at the last sentence.

"No, you killed her." Hawks gritted his teeth and glared at the villain who had a grin on his face.

Dabi ignored his correction and continued on with his explanation, "When I saw her that day I knew I remember her from somewhere, and seeing her risk her life to protect you made me curious. And so I looked into it and it turns out, you've been blowing most of your missions for her. You almost got me killed so naturally I had to do something about that. Teach you a lesson, if you will."

He had gained enough strength to start pacing in circles around Keigo, "Not to mention, she's a pretty little thing isn't she? I wonder what you would do if I had her all to myself."

Something inside Keigo snapped and before he knew it, he had Dabi pinned against the wall with a long feather up against the villains neck.

Dabi let out a sickening laugh, "This! This is why! You should see your face when I talk about our little angel."

Keigo put more pressure on the sharp swordlike feather, it was now dangerously close to breaking skin.

The winged hero gritted his teeth and yelled in the villains face, "She's not yours. She's mine. You got that? She's my little angel. And you're not gonna mess with her again."
