"Hey Birdie..."

That nickname...

"Been a while hasn't it? God, you look awful."

It can't be.

"You'd kill me for saying that haha, guess it's a good thing you aren't awake to hear that."

It is, it's him.

"Wake up soon for me, yeah? I'll be waiting right here."

You came back...

It's good to hear your voice, Ko.

"So about Dabi, did you find him?" Koji asked Aizawa while handing him a coffee from the hospital cafeteria. "No, after what happened he disappeared, no ones seen him," Aizawa sighed.

Koji hummed in acknowledgment, "Who is he?" he pointed towards Emiri's room. "Hawks? The number two hero...?" Aizawa looked at him, unsure if Koji was being serious.

"I know who he is, I mean who is he to her?" he laughed, getting a bit more serious at the end of his question.

"Honestly, I don't know where they stand right now, I do know that they had some type of argument before everything happened. Hawks has been more emotional and avoids any questions about what went down before she got kidnapped." Aizawa glanced at Emiri's room.

Truth be told, Aizawa knew they were in love with each other before they did. To be honest, everyone saw it. After all his years of being a Pro Hero he's learned how to analyze body language and behavior, meaning lying to him would be extremely difficult.

He knows when someone's been in an argument with Emiri because he's been in them too many times himself, he knows the guilt in peoples eyes because Emiri's almost never the one in the wrong.

That's something Aizawa wished he didn't pick up, but he couldn't help it, he knew all too well when someone was hurting inside, especially if it was because of Emiri.

He's seen it in Koji.

He's seen the way Koji use to admire everything Emiri did. The way Koji's posture straightened slightly when she entered the same room he was in. The way his eyes lit up at the mention of her name.

He's seen it all.

He's even seen the hurt in Koji's eyes when he realized he would only ever be in the friendzone.

Emiri and Koji had always been inseparable, they were rivals turned to best friends during their time at U.A. The only issue stopping Koji from admitting his feelings was the fact that Emiri had made it clear she thought of him as nothing more than a friend, she often times referred to him as her brother.

That was something that hurt Koji more than anyone could ever imagine, although he would never admit it.

And even though Koji hasn't moved on from his feelings, he made it his life's mission to see her happy, and if that meant shoving his feelings deep down where no one could see them, so be it.

All Koji wants is to make her happy.

"Do you think she loves him?"

Koji's question caught Aizawa off guard, but nonetheless he answered truthfully,

"I think she's in love with him."
