24 ❋

Keigo frantically flew above the city, trying to search for a sign, any sign, that she was somewhere nearby, but he had no luck.

He had considered going to other pro hero's, but the more he thought about it, the more it seemed like a bad idea.

If more heroes were to get involved with this, he'd be deemed too close to participate in the search for Emiri.

And he just couldn't have that.

He needed to find you himself.

But where?

꧁☘︎︎꧂

Emiri watched as Dabi grumbled under his breath trying to decide which way to go until a buzz was heard from his pocket.

He immediately took it out and looked at the message before sighing in relief. That is, until he looked at the time.

Was he on a time limit?

For what?

"Keep your head down." He grabbed her wrist and yanked her along with him rather harshly.

"I can walk." Emiri mumbled, slightly wincing at how tight his grip was. She tried to pull away but Dabi whipped around and created a small ball of blue flames in his palm.

"I am so god damn close to losing it with you, little mouse. Keep quiet and stop resisting, we're almost there."

She huffed and averted her eyes to his flames that he quickly put out.

The entire time she was being dragged along with Dabi, she had been trying to activate her quirk, but to no avail.

It's been roughly a day since she was taken from Keigo's apartment and she could feel her quirk slowly but surely starting to come back.

Wait...

Keigo.

Where was Keigo?

Whoosh.

"The hell?" Dabi murmured as he looked up, but before he could, he was knocked over.

"Dammit! Where are you Angel?" Keigo huffed as he landed on top of the tallest abandoned building he could find. Tears of frustration and worry were dangerously pricking the corners of his eyes.

He had been searching all night for Emiri. At this point he wanted to give up, but he knew he couldn't.

Keigo squatted down and rested his elbows on his thighs and sighed while gripping his hair. He was so frustrated he couldn't even keep his emotions inside all that well anymore.

From the moment he found out she was gone he had been trying his hardest to push as many of his emotions aside as he could.

He couldn't risk lashing out at anyone he encountered while trying to search for her. That wouldn't be good for his image, but he didn't care about his image right now.

He cared about finding Emiri.

He wiped the corner of his eyes, sniffed, and stood up straight. His feathers ruffled and puffed up with his actions.

"Okay, focus." He whispered to himself as he jumped up and perched himself on a ledge. His eyes dilated slightly and he squinted as his eyes darted across the entire block.

The slight, cold breeze stung his eyes, but he didn't want to miss anything. After a few minutes he stood up and was ready to take off when he caught a small glimpse of blue light.

He froze and franticly searched for it again while contemplating if what he saw was real. After a few seconds, he finally found the light again and focused on it. From what he could tell, it was blue fire in someone's hand.

Keigo didn't even stop to think about anything before jumping off the ledge and diving down to where he saw the fire.

I mean, who else could emit blue fire? And why would it appear in one of the most remote places in the city?

The light suddenly disappeared, but he had already seen where it was, so he didn't care. The closer he got, the more he could see.

It was her.
