"Finally awake... what did he call you? Angel?" All that could be heard was the mans low raspy voice and faint shuffling from all directions.

Emiri squirmed in the chair she was tied in. She tried to activate her quirk but it wasn't working.

"Why can't I activate my quirk?" she thought.

"Try all you want, you're not getting out of here any time soon." a separate voice said from across the room.

"Let me go." Emiri said sternly, but one of the men just chuckled.

She knew who they were the minute they spoke.

Dabi and Hekima.

"How did they know each other? Why would either of them want to work together?" Emiri thought.

More shuffling was heard and Emiri frantically whipped her head around, following the noise.

"Calm down, we aren't gonna hurt you... not yet at least." Hekima chuckled.

Questions were swarming Emiri's head as she tried even harder to get out of the chair she was bound to, but she couldn't. Not without her quirk.

Why wasn't her quirk working?

Meanwhile, at Keigo's apartment

Keigo couldn't sleep at all, not after confessing and making Emiri cry. He couldn't sleep knowing he hurt her.

He wouldn't sleep.

After a long hour of contemplating, he finally decided to get up and check on her.

When he walked out he stepped on something and bent down to pick it up, only to notice it was one of her feathers.

It broke his heart knowing that she was standing outside of his door just waiting while he was laying in bed.

He sighed and shoved the feather into his sweatpants pocket and made his way to the guest bedroom.

He knocked and waited for a bit before speaking up, "Angel...? You awake?" His voice was clearly sore from all the crying he had done.

After a long silence, he thought maybe she had already went to sleep.

But something didn't feel right.

He thought he was probably being paranoid until he looked at the floor more. There were foot prints, more than a pair, along with another one of Emiri's feathers.

He instantly swung the guest bedroom door open only to find Emiri nowhere to be found. He checked the bathroom, kitchen, and living room, but she was gone.

Her phone was still on the table so there was no point in trying to call her.

Keigo followed the footsteps that led to the balcony until they disappeared completely. By now he was already going into panic. But he was trained for situations like this, so this shouldn't be that hard, right?

First he had to calm himself down, though. He sat down and thought about everyone who would want to take her, trying his best not to let his instincts take over. If he did that, he'd be tearing through every building in the city just to find her.

The answer was pretty obvious, and seeing as how there were more than just one pair of footsteps made it clear that it was Dabi.

But who do the other pair of footsteps belong to?

The rest of the League want nothing to do with her, so he doubted that any of them would help Dabi.

So who...?

꧁☘︎︎꧂

Emiri was trying her hardest to get out of the ropes she was in, but she just couldn't.

"Like I said, try all you want, you're not going anywhere." Hekima laughed.

"Fuck you." Emiri mumbled. By now, her wrists were bleeding from them constantly rubbing against the ropes, but she didn't care. She just wanted to get out of there.

"You did once." he teased.

"Gross. Both of you shut up." Dabi sighed.

Emiri was still blindfolded, so she couldn't tell where she was, but she could smell concrete everywhere. Her best guess was an abandoned or destroyed building.

"When is it getting here, I'm tired and hungry. Can't they hurry up already?" Hekima complained. She could hear Dabi sigh and sit down somewhere.

After a few minutes Dabi finally told Hekima to go buy food since he was so hungry. But in reality, he just wanted to be alone with Emiri.

She could feel Dabi trying to undo the blindfold but she kept struggling and trying to fight back. Dabi was audibly frustrated with her and Hekima, so he was just about ready to snap at one of them.

After a few long seconds of struggling, Emiri heard him walk around her and suddenly felt two hands hold her down in the chair.

"You're starting to piss me off little birdie. Here I am, trying to be nice to you, and you squirm in your chair making it harder for the both of us."

She then felt him lean in dangerously close. "Be a good little angel for me and I'll get you out of these." he whispered. Emiri could feel his breath on her ear.

What did he mean by 'I'll get you out of these'?

Isn't he suppose to keep her in the restraints?

He meant the restraints, right?

Dabi backed away and attempted to take the blindfold off again, to which Emiri let him. He chuckled lightly at the obedience, but never said anything else.

She could finally see where she was, but it was still dark and she was underground so there wasn't much to go off of.

Dabi leaned against the wall next to an entrance and watched intently as Emiri looked at the restraints and tried to figure out how to get out of them.

He was toying with her at this point.

Like a cat and a mouse, and it was obvious who the mouse was in this situation.

Footsteps were heard from outside the entrance. Dabi got off the wall and waited, "I got two bo-" Hekima started, but Dabi knocked him out and he fell to the ground.

Emiri gave him a confused look. "What? I couldn't stand him anymore" Dabi complained.

After dragging Hekima into the corner, Dabi squatted down in front of Emiri and stared at her in a disturbing way.

After a long minute of staring, he finally spoke. "Here's what's gonna happen..." he stood up. "I'm gonna let you go."

"What?"

"In exchange, you're going to help me."

"Then I guess I'm staying here, theres no way in hell I'd help you."

Dabi grumbled under his breath, "You're making this harder than it needs to be, Angel."

"No, it's simple. I'm not helping you."

Dabi covered his face with his hands and let out a sigh. "I'd hate for Big Bird to suddenly die in an accident."

Emiri's eyes shot towards his and she gave him a deadly stare, "Touch him and-"

"Oh, I wouldn't dream of harming him, but I do have connections."

What the hell is he playing at? She can't let Keigo get hurt, not if she can stop it. Emiri went silent, only her breathing could be heard and even that was silent.

She was mad.

Mad that Dabi threatened to hurt him.

Mad that she never got to tell Keigo she loves him too.

Mad that she was so weak.
