I watched from a dark alleyway as the winged girl walked with the Erasure Hero, Eraserhead, to a bar. I can't kill any heroes right now, so her closest friends will have to do.

Now to find out who you're close with.

Emiri's pov -

After spending the whole day with Class 1-A and then getting food and drinks after with Zawa I was slumped.

Slowly but surely I wobbled into the hallway of my apartment at 2AM. I'm not exactly good with alcohol, so trust me when I say this...

I was beyond wasted.

I tried making my way to my bedroom but hit a wall and stumbled back. I looked up to see that the 'wall' was actually a blonde bird man with red wings staring intensely at me.

"Are you drunk?" he asked in a stern tone. It was kind of scary to be honest. "Whaaaaat, pft, what makes you think thaaaaat," I hiccuped.

"You shouldn't be drinking alone."

"I wasn't alone," I said, slurring my words slightly. "I was with Uncle Za-wawa-wawa..." I said, poking his chest.

He exhaled deeply before pinching the bridge of his nose and picking me up bridal style. "Weeeee," I exclaimed.

"I can walk ya know," I whined. "Barely," he said in that stern tone again. "You're cute when you're mad hehe, it's scary though," I said, hiccuping through my sentence.

I heard his feathers ruffle slightly, and looked up to see him blushing furiously. "Put me downnn," I demanded. He sighed again and placed my feet on the ground.

It took me a while to gain my footing, but eventually I wobbled back to my bed. Just before I was about to plop myself on my bed, he grabbed my shoulders and spun me around.

"You need to take these off first," he said, taking my jacket off for me. "Oooh, does someone wanna see me nakeddd?" I asked poking his chest again and stretching the last word.

This time he was so red, he'd put a tomato to shame.

"J-Just shut up and change... I can't control myself forever," he said, mumbling the last part under his breath and walked out.

Everything else was a blur that night, I can never remember anything after drinking.

I slowly fluttered my eyes open, wincing at the pain I felt in my head. I always have the biggest hangover headaches.

I was now fully awake and tried to get up but I felt big arms wrap around my waist and I was pulled back into bed.

I turned my head to see who it was, and of course, it was Keigo staring back at me. "K-Keigo? What are you doing," I asked, shutting my eyes to shield them from the sunlight pouring into my room.

"Morning Angel," he yawned and then closed his eyes. "Get up you lazy bum, and let me go," I grunted trying to get out of his grasp that only tightened.

"No, 5 more minutes," he mumbled. "You have to go to work," I said, as he loosened his grip and I turned my entire body to face his.

He stared into my eyes, his own half lidded, before closing them again and pulling me closer to him, "It's my day off," he sighed.

The warmth of his body was so relaxing, it made me feel safe. I couldn't do anything so I gave in and wrapped my free arm over him as we both felt each other's embrace.

Just as I was about to drift off to sleep again, I heard him whisper something.

"Sweet dreams, baby bird."

Hawks pov -

All seemed to be good in life right now, Angel finally started working with me again and I'm closer than ever with her. I have everything I want.

But why do I feel an empty hole in my chest?

"Hey, meeting at 1:40, you can't miss it," Angel said, peeking through my office door and reminding me.
"Alright, hey what about lunch?" I asked.

She walked in fully, "Lunch? It's at 2:30..." she replied. I chuckled, "No, do you want to go get lunch together, you sure I'm the birdbrain?"

She gave me a glare, "I don't know if I want to anymore," she huffed, turning to walk out. Before she got to the door I deployed some feathers to stop her.

"Alright, hey c'mon don't be like that," I said, pushing her towards my desk with my feathers. "You know you love me," I teased.

"Do I?" she asked with a serious face. Suddenly I felt this huge wave of fear and discomfort come over me, "Wha- stop that, that face, stop," I said shivering.

"What, you don't like my face? Alright then," she sighed and turned to walk out the door once more. In an instant, I was in front of the door blocking her way.

I got closer and lifted her chin up with my pointer finger, slowly inching towards her ear, "Don't say that, of course I do. You're beautiful."

Her face turned red and she shoved me back and walked out flustered screaming, "Shut up birdbrain!"  I just chuckled and sat back down.

She really was something else.

I don't know why, but she makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, like I can do anything. I'd do anything to always stay by her side. Just being around her makes me want to protect her with my life.

When did I start falling for her?

And why did I fall hard?

I knew the answer in the back of my head. It was when we first met, when she sprouted those gorgeous wings of hers. And because she lit up the room wherever she went with that soft smile of hers. And because of her personality. Because she never gives up. Because she's a warrior. Because she's amazing. Because she makes me feel better. Because she's the reason I'm still fighting.

But I didn't want to admit it just yet...

Emiri's pov -

"Yo, Angel, let's go," Keigo called, walking out of his office. "Go where?" I asked. "Lunch, duh," he said walking into my office. I rolled my eyes and followed after him.

On our way to eat, May called me. "Hey Em, how are you feeling?" May asked. "Hey, I'm feeling fine, what's up?" I responded. "That's great, what are you up to right now?"

Keigo bumped into me while he was trying listen to who it was but I pushed him away, "I'm going to get lunch right now, wanna join?"

"Oh sure! That's actually what I wanted to ask. Where at?" she asked. After I hung up I heard Keigo let out a loud huff.

"What?" He glanced at me and pouted, "I thought it was just gonna be us." I blinked at his statement. "You're such a big baby, you can't hog me y'know," I said, patting his back and walking into the restaurant.

"Emmm! I got us a table already, oh hi Hawks!" May greeted. "Hi," Keigo smiled. "Hey, how did you get here before us?" I asked.

"Oh haha, I was suppose to meet my friend here but they had to cancel, that's why I called, to see if you wanted to join me," she explained.

"Ah, okay, do you guys know what you want?" I asked. "Chicken," Keigo beamed, bouncing excitedly in his seat looking at all the chicken options.

When did he get this cute...?
