Hawks' pov -

I watched as she took off to pick up Tokoyami. "She's pretty," Haru said. I glared at him, "You weren't suppose to tell her that I told you about her."

"Oh, oops. Sorry..." Haru apologized, "What's with you?" I blinked at his question, "What are you talking about?"

I watched Haru cover his face with his hands in both frustration and realization, "You were so serious. You're never like that...does Keigo actually like someone?" he said nudging me and smirking.

I felt my face get hot at his words. What kind of question is that? "What? No, of course not."

Haru just smirked and told me to get ready for my meeting.

Emiri's pov -

I landed in front of the UA entrance and walked in and as soon as I did, I was met by a particular sleepy man with a yellow sleeping bag tucked under his arm. Aizawa.

He looked at me with his eyebrows raised, "Maki? What are you doing here?" I smiled, "Is that how you greet your favorite student?" I asked.

He pulled me into a hug, surprising me a little. He smelled like coffee and smoke. "You didn't answer my question," he said, breaking the hug.

"Oh, I'm here to pick up a student named Tokoyami," I responded. "Tokoyami? Why?" he asked, clearly confused.

"I work for Hawks now, and he said he was going to need someone to pick him up," I explained. "Hawks? You? You work for Hawks?" he scoffed.

I was never the type to want to work for someone, especially for someone like Hawks. To the public, he can seem a bit...cocky. I might've also said I didn't want to work for an agency when I grew up.

"I know, but he's not half bad, and I needed a job," I said. He just smirked and started walking away, "Tokoyami's in my class, follow me."

Walking down the halls felt so nostalgic. Although I didn't have the best times here, it wasn't all bad.

We reached my old classroom. There was a bit of chatter coming from inside, but as soon as Aizawa walked in, the entire class went silent.

I followed in after him and laughed softly at the effect he had on the class. As I walked in, I felt all eyes on me, causing my wings to wrap around me a little.

"Class, this is Maki Emiri, she's an old student of mine," Aizawa introduced me. "Hey, I've seen you on TV! You're that hero White Wing!" a girl with pink skin and hair said.

I just smiled as the class quietly murmured about me. "Is she here to teach us?" one of the students asked.

"No, she's only here to pick up a student," Aizawa said. I heard some sighs of disappointment. Aizawa cleared his throat,"Tokoyami, you're dismissed for today."

"What?! Tokoyami? I thought he was interning for Hawks?" the class said together. "He is, she's just taking him there," Aizawa explained.

"Woah, you work for Hawks?" a student with red spiky hair asked me. I just nodded and the entire class erupted in excitement.

Tokoyami had already made his way to the door, ready to leave. "Will you come back?" the pink girl asked.

I glanced at Aizawa to see if I could. I'd love to come back and watch them. "If this old man lets me, sure," I said with a smile.

The whole class went silent. They couldn't believe I had called him old man.

"Only if you're up for it," Aizawa replied, not phased by what I had just called him.

When my parents died, I was still attending UA. I had nowhere to go and I didn't want to leave, so I stayed with Aizawa until I had enough money to get my own place. During that time he had become somewhat of a father figure to me and treated me like family. He was the reason I even got to stay at UA and I owe him everything.

Both Tokoyami and I walked out waving goodbye to the class before making our way down the hall.

"Hawks mentioned a potential new assistant, is that you?" Tokoyami asked while opening the door to head outside.

"Yup, that's me," I said wondering how I'd fly him there, "I didn't think this through." He looked at me confused, "What do you mean?"

"Uh, okay turn around," I instructed him. He was hesitant but he did as I said. I wrapped my arms around his abdomen and took off.

"Try not to move too much, I don't wanna drop you," I laughed nervously. "R-right," he mumbled.

The day went by fast when we got back to the agency. Haru had taught me almost everything I needed to know about being Keigo's assistant.

Both Keigo and Tokoyami were on patrol right now, so Haru and I were finishing going through papers.

"How long have you been working for that birdbrain?" I asked Haru. "A little after he started his agency, so about four and a half years I think?" he responded.

"Four years with him? God, I'm so sorry," I giggled. He laughed with me, "He might seem a little stubborn right now, but trust me, he's not all bad."

"Let's hope so, for the sake of my sanity," I sighed. Haru just laughed and we continued filing papers.

"So what's your quirk?" I asked. "It's a speed quirk, I can basically read, write and, of course, run pretty fast," he responded.

I hummed then heard the elevator ding. "Angel?" a familiar voice shouted. I got up and walked into the hall to see Keigo and Tokoyami holding takeout bags.

My hungry eyes filled with excitement, I hadn't eaten since breakfast. Without thinking, I lunged forward, snatching a bag from his hands and running to a nearby coffee table.

I heard all three of them laugh at my reaction but I didn't care because I was starving.

"Woah, woah, save some for us Angel," Keigo said, rushing towards me to snatch the food away before I could eat it all.

"Angel?" Haru and Tokoyami asked. My eyes narrowed at Keigo and I jabbed him in his ribs, making him cry out in pain and rub his side.

"I told you to stop calling me that birdbrain." He scoffed, "Then stop calling me birdbrain," he retorted.

I looked up and glared at him, "No way." He smirked, "Then I guess you're stuck with Angel."

In the middle of everyone eating, the building stared to shake and screams could be heard from every direction.

All four of us ran to the window to see what was happening down on the street. It was a disaster. Cars were flipped and on fire and the buildings in front of us were collapsing and in the middle of it all was a man in a trench coat. There was blue fire everywhere. I felt a shiver go down my entire body.

It was him.

It was Dabi.
