EIGHT

One Month Later

It was midnight when Draco came running into my room, it looked as if he was holding back tears, and he was yelling in a panic. "Ella, wake up! You have to go!"

As I quickly jumped out of bed I headed over to Draco, holding his frantic arms. "What's wrong? What happened?"

"You have to leave, now!" He said as he shoved me back.

"What why?" I said, tears welling in my eyes.

"I'm sorry Ella, I can't tell you, I have to keep you safe. You have to go. Now."

I headed over to my luggage holding back tears to get it all packed up before Draco started yelling again. "Daniella stop! You can't pack up, you have to leave right now!"

I quickly picked up the parchment that the owl gave me and my wand before Draco grabbed my hand and ran me downstairs to their door. Draco nearly pushed me out of the gate and I started walking away from the Manor in tears.

He looked up at the sky as it turned green and black all at the same time, and yelled at me one more time. "Ella run! Go to the Weasley's, they'll let you stay!"

I looked back at him thinking by now he would have said this was some sort of prank but instead I saw tears running down his face and I knew something was wrong. I started running, I ran for as long as I could. After almost an hour of running, I found a restroom that was connected to the Floo Network. I used it to get as close as I could to where the Weasley's lived. I remembered Ginny had told me they were staying at Number 12 Grimmauld Place as it was where The Order headquarters were at. After I used the Floo Network, I ran for almost another hour to Grimmauld Place.

I ran up to their door still in tears and knocked as loud as I could, screaming for help.

Ginny answered the door. "Bloody hell-"

"Ginny please." I sobbed.

"What happened? I thought you were staying at the Manor." Ginny stuttered.

I walked inside. "I am-" I paused. "I mean I was. Draco just yelled at me in the middle of the night screaming at me telling me to leave."

"I told you he was no good." Ginny ranted.

"No it's not that, it actually seemed as if something was wrong. Like something bad was happening and he was trying to keep me safe."

"Sure he was." Ginny whispered.

"What's going on Ginny?" Shouted Mrs. Weasley.

"It's Daniella, something happened and she has to stay here for the rest of summer if that's okay." Ginny yelled back.

Over the next hour I explained what happened at the Manor to everyone at the Grimmauld's Place. After almost everyone went to bed besides Hermione, Ron, Harry, and Ginny. We all decided to go over to their couch and catch up. Ron, Hermione, and Harry all explained how they thought I wouldn't want to be their friend since I was resorted into Slytherin just as Ginny thought.

We stayed up late talking and just as we were caught up on everything that had happened I brought up the parchment I got from the owl. "So the last week school was in I decided to write to my parents even though I knew they wouldn't see it but I got an owl back saying 'thank you for the letter' and I have no idea what to do about it."

"Can I see it?" Asked Hermione.

I handed the parchment to Hermione. "Do you know if this is their handwriting?"

"They never wrote to me themselves. It was always like an assistant or they used a typewriter." I replied.

Just as I finished speaking another owl showed up with more parchment. I grabbed it, opened it up and read it. 'Stay away from Draco. -A"

I expression dropped from my face and I looked up to Ginny. I walked over to where she was sitting and handed her the parchment. She read it out loud, "Stay away from Draco, from A."

"Who the hell is 'A'?" Asked Ron.

"I have no idea." I replied.

"Honestly I don't see why you should worry about it. It's not like they threatened you and even if they did we don't know who it is so you can't do anything about it." Harry explained.

"Daniella, where's your trunk? I didn't see you bring anything with you." Asked Ginny

"I totally forgot, Draco wouldn't let me get my things packed, he told me that I had to leave right then."

"We'll have my Dad go fetch it for you tomorrow." Ron yawned. "I'm going to bed. I want at least an hour of sleep before the sun comes up."

We all agreed and went to bed.

The next morning Mr. Weasley got back with my luggage during breakfast.

"Was anyone at the Manor?" I asked Arthur.

"Unfortunately not Daniella. It was only the Malfoy's house elf and he did not tell me what happened or where the Malfoy's were at."

I dismissed the slight letdown, not wanting it to ruin my day. I just was so desperate to know that Draco was okay. We spent the rest of the day hanging around the house, talking and deciding what we would do for the rest of the summer holiday. Although I wanted to do nothing, all I wanted to do was cry and shut myself out. But I couldn't, I couldn't show my emotions not there, not around everybody.
