Ranmaru Kurosaki[Faux Roses]

SAOTOME FIRST YEAR-

__________ ______(L/N)______

AGE:____

You grinned down at your new and fancy, laminated school ID.

You have to admit, despite being the most knowledgeable in today's idols at Saotome, you could not write lyrics for your life. You could write some music, if you had a base song to work with. Then you could alter the song to a different style, rather than sitting down and writing everything. Why would someone with no skill in writing songs want to go to Saotome? A few reasons.

All about being rich, none about being famous.

You hardly cared for the fame, you wanted the money.

You grinned to yourself and thought of the idea of bathing in expensive Himalayan salts, harvested right outside your back door. Oh the joy of eating fatty tuna....

You held the ID close to your heart. It was a golden ticket to living well.

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

"Second and first group? What's that?" you asked, chewing your teppenyaki leftovers from last night.

"Well, depending on skill, first year students are paired into First Groups and Second Groups. Really good singers and songwriters are in the first group, sorta like the prodigies,  and they do they end of the year performance," said your green haired punk rocker friend Shana. "However! If you are rather average, you are given a senpai that basically instructs you on what you need to do to improve yourself. Then, in their Second Year, they get to precede like the First Group did."

Shana tugged at her nose ring and Ame sighed, "I wish I could be in the Second Group..... Then I could get close to Kurosaki-sama~"

Ame was a SUPER talented girl who wanted to be the Lady Gaga of Japan. She was an amazing visual effects artist.

Her one flaw was that she was obsessed with Ranmaru Kurosaki. She practically STALKED him. You were surprised you didn't know anything about him. You didn't even know what he looked like.

"We, fortunately, are very lucky to suck at singing, aren't we _________?" grinned Shana.

"I don't suck at singing, lyric writing, remember? You can't sing for shit."

"Hey! I can too! When it's moody..."

"Or when it requires screaming," said Ame.

"Can we not talk about my flaws?! Anyway....Who do you want to get as a senpai, _________?"

You shrugged, "Beats me. I don't care. I just want the one who will get me the most dough."

"Ah, our money loving _______-chan~" smiled Ame.

Shana pulled you into a hug and noogied your head. When she pulled away, your group laughed.

"I think Camus would be a pretty good senpai," said Shana, leaning back.

Ame drifted off into her mind and said, "I wanna kiss Kurosaki-Sama~<3"

You snapped in front of her face, "Wake up, it ain't gonna happen."

She sighed, "But his lips are perfect~"

You stood up and stretched, "I'm sure your Kurosaki-Sama wouldn't want to be near you if he heard things like that come from your mouth."

Ame widened her eyes and covered her mouth. You laughed. Then you looked out the window, at the courtyard. A bunch of third years were bunched together, chatting.

One of them caught your eye, he had white hair and marble skin. You watched him for a while before he suddenly looked over his shoulder. It looked like you two had made eye contact. You knew it was impossible though. There was no way he could notice you.

Then he narrowed his eyes and turned his focus back to his group.

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

"Ready?" you asked. Shana nodded and Ame watched. You undid the clasp on the envelope and pulled the paper out slowly.

Shana smiled, "Not Camus, but I did get Mikaze Ai!"

"The robot guy?" wondered Ame.

"Hush! I think he's cool!" said Shana, smiling inwardly.

You sighed, "I would say mine but Ame would skin me, hide my body and  then wear my skin as a suit...."

"YOU GOT KUROSAKI?!" she cried, standing up.

"Wow.....you would do that?"

She shook you furiously, " Of course I would! Damn you!"

You shrugged, "He's just a guy."

"He's not a guy! He's a mother fucking prince!" she screamed.

You rolled your eyes, "Whatever dude. Look, I'll put a good word in for you, Mmkay?"

The strawberry haired girl brightened up and glomped you. Black haired Shana twirled her golden rosary around her finger.

"What an interesting coincidence...." you heard her say. You didn't ask what she meant, Shana would just act like she had forgotten what she was thinking about.

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

You sighed and knocked on the door of your senpai's apartment.

The door opened. You looked up and saw that silver haired boy, standing right before you.

You felt embarrassed but held up your ID, "First Year _________, reporting for-"

The door was slammed in your face.

You knocked on the door. It opened again, you cleared your throat, "Nice to meet you, I'm ________-"

The door was shut again, this time harder.

You pounded slowly on the door. Ranmaru saw you were still there and went to close it when you shoved your foot in the door.

"KUROSAKI-SENPAI~" you growled, "OPEN THIS FUCKING DOOR~"

The door was opened. Ranmaru let the upset you pass and sat down on his couch.

The apartment was bare. Almost completely. Well, that was a bit of an exaggeration. It did have furniture but it was very small. He had no pictures on the wall and everything was very..... basic.

You sat down in the chair across from the couch, "So what should we-"

"Master."

"........eh?"

"Master. You're a woman right? I'm your superior then. Master."

"Well, MASTER, what should we-"

"I'm a bit hungry, go make me something to eat, woman."

You stood up, "Listen here! I am a free woman of this country, you misogynistic fucker! I will be treated with God damn respect!"

He smirked, "Is that all you want to say? Or do you want to insult my friends now?"

You felt outraged by this guy, "No! I don't care about you disgusting friends! They're third rate artists who should just go screw themselves!"

You heard a click. Ranmaru helped up a tape recorder, "Wait till the school board hears this. You're going to be put under the 'Behavioral Problem' section, girl.

"Not only that, but you insulted my friends, who were third rate. I wonder if those big name companies they work for.....would appreciate you saying that about their stars."

The Himalayan salt bath suddenly seemed desperately out of reach.

"P-Please! D-Don't do this!" you cried, feeling your eyes become slightly wet from worry.

He sat up, "Since I'm a merciful being, I'm going to let you make it up to me. You're going to clean my house, and be my personal.....slave for the next year. I'll give you the tape as a present for the end of the year. I may even teach you something. Just like a good senpai. However, if you cross me again....."

He leaned forward, "I'll make sure you'll never get a cent of money from the work you do."

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

You wiped sweat from your forehead and pulled the dust mask from your mouth. Ranmaru's room was awfully dirty, worse than anything you had ever seen.

You pulled the two heavy trash bags from his room, and saw that he was passed out on the couch. The TV was on. You turned the volume down and dragged the bags outside to the curb.

You came back inside and started to leave. Then you noticed something that you wished you could have noticed later when you were back at your dorm.

The poor guy probably had to cook for himself every night, no one to enjoy time with. Of course, he had friends. Successful friends though. Friends who were always taking job requests.

You sighed. You set down your things and walked into the kitchen.

Ranmaru had went out earlier and put the tape in a safety deposit account. He said he'd be using it as blackmail.

You really wanted to just go home, but something told you to stay and wait until he woke up. It was just a feeling.

You dug around in his fridge, only to find some leeks that were going bad. You grabbed a pot and filled it with water. You cut leeks thinly and watched the boiling water carefully. By the time you were done, you had created a marvelous potato leek soup.

You covered the soup and sat down across from Ranmaru. You stared at his sleeping figure and felt a bit like a stalker.

"How could Ame find this guy princely?!" you said to yourself, "He's so sexist and sadistic! Though....he is hot. You have to give him that......"

Realizing you were wasting your time, you stood up.

You were about to leave when you heard Ranmaru say, "Write me song."

You jumped a mile high. You turned around to Ranmaru, face red, "Y-You were awake?!"

"Of course."

Your neck and back slowly turned red from blush, "E-Eh-"

"You get one chance to impress me with a song. Then I'll show you the ropes, got it woman?"

Your eyes widened and you bowed, "Y-Yes!"

"Yes what?"

"Y-Yes Master!" you called excitedly.

"You get two months."

You pulled the door open, "Thank you!"

You fled the house, leaving Ranmaru alone with his soup.

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

You got to your shared dorm with Ame and Shana and spilled everything.

"What?! There's no way Kurosaki-Sama could-"

You gave her wide eyes that said "Oh yes. He could."

"Anyway.... I've got to write a song now...."

"What?! But you suck at writing lyrics!" said Shana.

"Thanks for being frank."

"But....maybe if the music is good enough....Then you can ask Ame help with the lyrics!"

"That's not a bad idea," said Ame. "I do know everything Ranmaru Kurosaki.... Shana can help you with the music, since you're almost ignorant in his favorite genre of music."

"Why do I need to write his favorite genre? Why can't I do one that I like?"

The two roommates looked at each other and laughed. You tilted your head.

"You have much to learn my friend."

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

On your second day with senpai, you came to his home and caught him off guard. You would have felt pleased with yourself, had you not been disgusted and embarrassed about the naked girl running around the apartment, gathering her clothes.

Your eye twitched, "Friend of yours, Kurosaki-Senpai?"

"No, just someone I found on the street."

You gagged at how casually he walked around the house with just pants on. You didn't want to see his chest. It made you feel uncomfortable.

"S-Sorry!" said the, now dressed, girl a little older than you. You didn't realize she was speaking to you until she said, "I-If I knew he had a girlfriend-"

You held up your hand, "How old do you think I am? I'm two years younger than him. Kurosaki's just my mentor."

"Master," he said, pouring himself some coffee.

"In your fucking dreams, Senpai," you muttered.

She blinked and then turned away from you, she wrapped her arms around Ranmaru's shoulders and said, "In that case~ If you ever need a good fuck again~"

She reached into the drawer and pulled out a sharpie marker, she bit her lip and scribbled a note on the counter, "My number's right there~"

She left before shooting you a diva look.

You walked up next to your senpai.

"You want those?" he gestured to the note on the counter. Well, it wasn't a note. It was a piece of lingerie with a number written on the wrong.

"I think I'm good, Kurosaki," you said, not wanting to touch anything until you cleaned it again.

Ranmaru grabbed them off the counter and tossed them in the trash.

You rolled your eyes, "Who knew that you liked bitchy girls, Kurosaki-Senpai...."

"I don't. Those are just some nice pair of legs."

"Okay okay. Enough with the talk about your sex life. Where do we get started?"

"Start with the kitchen, that's where me and Tina started last night. Then we went up against the wall so you might want to scrub those."

Realizing that A.) you and him were still talking about sex and B.) that he meant that you were going to clean today. You silenced him and pulled the cleaning supplies from the closet. You pulled on the industrial strength gloves and pulled another dust mask from the box.

You tied your hair back and began your crusade against the leftover pleasure from last night that had decided to spray itself around the house.

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

"Thanks for your help Shana, you think this is good enough?" you asked, looking at you 6 weeks of effort.

"Absolutely," said Shana, packing up her guitar. She had orange hair today.

"So now I just need to write some lyrics with Ame...." you leaned back in your chair.

"Are you coming down for dinner?"

"Hmmm....What? Oh....In a little bit...."

Shana shrugged and walked down the hall.

You stared at the music. You and Shana had recorded it with the help of Jen down the hall. She was looking to become a female drummer. You added in some harmonics through the computer. It sounded like a professional song. You were really proud of yourself.

However, you also felt like you didn't do much at all. So you grabbed a notepad and clicked your pen.

You were going to write these lyrics on your own.

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

"How's the song coming?" asked Ranmaru, slurping down the pasta you made.

You were exhausted. Every day(minus Saturday and Sunday) for two months was spent cleaning his house and making his meals. You had spent two weeks writing and re-writing and erasing the lyrics for the song.

"It's coming Senpai...."

"You only have a week left."

You retied your hair, "I know...."

He watched you for a bit before returning to his meal.

"[Faux Roses]

You've made a mask,

lock the lock,

hide the key.

I don't know how I saw through it,

Because the one who hates you the most,

is me."

Shana nodded, "Not bad, not bad. Keep going."

You bit your lip before saying,

"You've told me several times,

You don't want to be near me.

I've told you several times,(I love you)

But you never hear me!"

You breathed in and said,

"Like Faux Roses,

You're living your own lie....

Like Faux Roses,

A love just born, now must die,

I told you once, I told you twice,

In a cage, in a desperate pose,

I can't be without my sweet, sweet,

Faux Rose...."

You blushed, "H-How is it?"

"Very Yandere."

"Really?" you asked.

"Very," repeated Ame.

"But I think it's good!" said Shana, eyes sparkling.

"Yeah! You definitely have something that will catch Ranmaru's ear!"

You blushed, "Could you sing it, Ame?"

"No!" cried Ame, "You need to sing it."

"You're right, you're right...."

"When do you need it?" asked Shana curiously.

"Tomorrow."

Suddenly you were pulled to desk. Shan set up the recording equipment and Ame set up the soundtrack.

You smiled at your friends.

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

You watched anxiously as Ranmaru listened to your song. You tensed every time he wrote something in his notebook.

When the song was finally over, you asked the question you were dreading to know the answer to, "How was it Senpai?"

He glanced at you, didn't say anything, and then stood up.

You were about to stand up too when Ranmaru put his knee on the cushion beside your legs. You tensed up as he leaned down.

"I will teach you. I will be your senpai."

A smile broke out on your face.

"However...."

Your smile fell a bit, still remaining.

Ranmaru grabbed you by your shirt and pulled you up.

"Wh-What are you doing?!"

Ranmaru slapped you to silence your cries. Your cheek burned. You lifted a hand to touch it.

"If I ever see you with any of the other seniors, trying to get advice from them, I won't hesitate to kill you."

You opened your mouth to say something. Ranmaru dropped you, "You are a woman though, so I doubt that you would last long. Women are evil creatures after all."

You stared fearfully up at Ranmaru. He ran his finger through his hair.

For the first time, you felt genuine fear towards Ranmaru Kurosaki.

"Now let's get started."

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

"What the hell happened to you?!" asked Shana.

"Don't ask."

"I just did! Why is there a bruise on your cheek?!"

"I....fell....He said he would teach me and I tripped and fell on the table."

"Owie...." said Ame. "Are you going to cover it up?"

"I don't wear makeup. Causes acne."

Ame widened her eyes and removed all the makeup on her face, "Why did no one tell me that?!"

"We didn't want to ruin your mood," said Shana.

You sat down on your bed, "He liked it. I'm not sure how much, but he liked it."

"So you got upgraded from maid to kouhai~" smiled Shana.

"Yeah, I guess I did," you laughed. You seethed at the pain on your cheek.

You hoped your other lessons won't be like that.

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

"E-Excuse me!" you heard someone call behind you. You turned around.

An older boy with bright pink hair and eyes smiled at you, "I-I seem t-to have gotten lost, c-could you point me to the third year class rooms?"

"Sure!" you smiled. You opened your mouth when a hand was placed on your shoulder.

"Who is this _________?"

"Ah! Are you h-her boyfriend?! I-I'm sorry! I'm just t-trying-"

You laughed a bit. The pink haired boy looked confused, "Eh?"

You smiled, "This is Ranmaru Kurosaki, he's my mentor-"

"Master."

"Fuck off. He could show you where the classes are, right Ranmaru?"

Ranmaru's silver eyes flashed. He nodded and said, "Follow me."

You waved as he left and then bolted for class.

"Hey, you lost him!" greeted Shana.

"Yeah...Thank you, Lady Luck..."

Ever since Ranmaru started teaching you, he started following you around, and making sure your schedule was full all the time.

It was becoming quite a nuisance. However, you found a few ways to control him a bit.

For example, if you called him by his first name and smiled, he would mostly likely do whatever you told him.

You were sure your senpai was crushing on you. You didn't mind it though. He was your senpai, not like you were going to fuck him. Especially after the whole incident the day after your training. Who knew who else he had fucked?

"I wish I was dating Kurosaki-Sama...." muttered Ame.

"I'm not dating Ranmaru. He's just utterly in love with me," you said.

"Careful what you say," said Shana.

"What?! It's not like he cares what I say. Besides, it's nice to have a bodyguard once in a while~!"

"You might end up hurting his feelings _________," pouted Ame.

"So what?! He gave me the tape back a few weeks ago. I destroyed it, now he has nothing over me~" you sang.

Ame and Shana gave each other a look.

~    ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

You smiled at Kurosaki, "Thanks, I didn't know you could cook~!"

He nodded, "Not like I did it for you or anything...."

You smirked internally. Finally, everything was looking your way. Everything is balancing out. He gets punished with falling in love with you because he was such a bastard to you before.

"So how's the new guy?" you asked.

"The pink haired one?"

"Yeah," you said.

"Dead."

"What?!" you asked, your fork hitting the table.

"He died this afternoon."

"Oh my God..." you said stunned. "H-How?"

"He was shoved in front of the train...."

You gaped, "H-He was killed?"

"Yeah...."

You covered your mouth, "What a monster...."

"You really think so?"

You turned your head to him, your eyes felt slick.

"What do you mean?! Of course! Someone killed a innocent person."

Kurosaki stood up, "Maybe he wasn't so innocent....Maybe he had robbed a house....Or..."

Ranmaru walked behind you and put a hand on your shoulder. He leaned down and whispered, "Tried to steal someone's girlfriend...."

You froze.

"You've been leading me on _________, haven't you?"

You shook your head.

"Liar...I have proof...."

'I'm not dating Ranmaru. He's just utterly in love with me.'

'Careful what you say.'

'What?! It's not like he cares what I say. Besides, it's nice to have a bodyguard once in a while~!'

"You really should watch what you say _______.... Wasn't that what got you in trouble in the first place?"

"Y-You bugged me...."

"Your bag. I slipped it in a month ago. You say some interesting things. I've heard everything you've said for the past month. Your dark secrets... your idle chat... the noises you make when you pleasure yourself... Those sweet noises that only I get to hear... Does Shana and Ame know what you moan out? Do they hear you?"

You felt humiliated and upset, tears rolled down your face.

"I once heard my name __________.... What did I do to you in that fantasy of yours....?" he whispered, sucking the crook of your neck.

You jumped up and tried to run away from Ranmaru. He grabbed you by your wast and pulled you over his shoulder. You squirmed and tried to pull away from his grip. He walked over to the stereo and slipped in a CD.

All of a sudden, Faux Roses, your song, started playing. He turned it up loud and then dragged you down the hall where he pushed you into his room and locked the door.

You banged on the door and called for help. It was Ranmaru's room, but everything was different. The window was barred and boarded. There was no light bulb, so it was completely dark except for the crack of light shining from below the door.

You backed away from the door and felt your knees hit the bed. You sat down on it.

You should have listened to your friends. You should have listened when they told you not to play with a man's heart.
