Imagine me, at the age of 12. It is the summer of 2013. I'm at my home, watching anime, past midnight on my phone. Specifically, an episode of Durarara!! Suddenly, I had an idea. And I began writing a short piece that became one of the largest writing projects in my life: My Beautiful Parasite.

I began writing fanfiction, short pieces on Quizilla. When the site closed down, I turned to DeviantArt and Quotev. It was there that I published the original chapters of the fic. I got fairly positive reviews and it encouraged my skill in writing. One day, I got locked out of my Quotev account and had to move it to here. Due to the sudden massive shift of media, I exhausted my energy and lost the will to continue the fic. And I left it untouched for 2 years, as a proud display of my capabilities.

However, I will be the first to admit that there were things about life I didn't understand at the time. And that there are various typos, grammatical errors, plot issues that I did not really concern myself with. To be fair, I was pretty young and sheltered. Now that I've grown up a bit, I wish to take another stab at a genre of fiction that I've always loved.

So I'm revisiting this piece, mostly for the sake of nostalgia, but also with the intent to remaster the original pieces and perhaps enhance them further beyond what I did originally. Perhaps give the readers something richer and juicier than before. I remember the struggle of being young and trying to find fanfiction that I identified with and liked.
