The back of the shop. That's the place I've been for god knows how long. All I've been doing for the last three months is counting the flowers.

Counting the fucking flowers.

I huff as I look back at the row of roses and marigolds. I used to love flowers, they were my passion. Now, I can hardly stand them. I gaze out to the other part of the shop and see my Coworker, Seymour smiling and helping a young and very pretty lady.

I huff again and do what I'm payed to do.

Count the flowers.

By the end of the day I have enough rage shaking my core that I snap.

"How come you make me count the flowers? Hmm?" I rage. Seymour stares up at me from the register and looks puzzled.

"What?"

"The flowers! Everyday you make me count the flowers!" I yell and watch him flinch. "You have no idea how sick and tired I am of being useless Seymour! All I do it count the flowers! I could be helping you but no! I'm just a useless girl who counts the flowers in a flower shop!"

I throw my head down and quietly apologize, letting the hair I feel the tears before I know I'm crying and try to escape the situation before he realized.

I turn and feel a band pulling on my arm, spinning me around so then my lips land on another pair.

Seymour's.

I feel my eyes open wide as he caresses my cheek, gently kissing my lips. I melt into his touch and my eyes flutter close. He breaks away and looks into my eyes, which were probably wide and twinkling,

"Your not useless (Y/n)." He whispers. "Not to me. And you never have been. Your so hard working and that's why I make you count the flowers. I know you won't make a mistake and if you do I know you'll notice it. I wouldn't trust anyone else with that job."

"Well now I look like a fucking idiot." I mumble softly, chuckling as my breath hitches from the crying.

"Well, your my fucking idiot, how about that?"

"That sounds great."
