Fez and I knew each other since we were kids. Always there for each other, so it wasn't a big surprise when we got together when we were 15. Now 23, we're still together, living at his house with his little brother and grandmother. While Fez dropped out of school during our senior year, I graduated and went to beauty school and got my license to be a nail technician. I had been working at my aunt's nail shop and saving my money and was able to buy my own place with the help of Fez.

So while Fez was at the gas station, I was at my nail salon doing my cousin's nails while the rest of her friends just hanged out around the shop. "So what's up with you and Fez?" Maddy asked while I filed her nails.

"Well nothing much, but we did sign Ash up for middle school." I answered and they all gave me a look. "I know, what you're going to say, but Fez wants Ash to have education, like he went to school."

"But dropped out senior year." Rue replied not looking up from her phone.

"I know, but he did go to school. We want whats best for him you know, he's like our kid brother. I've known him almost his whole life, he's a smart kid." I said.

"She's not wrong, he'll go into hella detail about the shit he sells." Kat answered. The rest of us agreed with Kat. While I continued to do Maddy's nails.

"Wait how'd you get him into school with the tattoos on his face?" Maddy asked.

"Concealer." I answered.

I heard my phone ring. "Shit can someone pick that up for me?" Cassie picked up the phone and put it on speaker.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hi, is this Y/n Perez?" The lady asked.

"This is she." I replied.

"Okay, I'm calling from East Highland Middle School, I have you down for the guardian/emergency contact for Archie Turner. There was an incident and he needs to be picked up." I heard her say and muttered a quiet 'shit'.

"Yes of course, I'll be there in 15 minutes." I said.

"Thank you." She hung up the phone. I frantically wrapped Maddy's nails in foil before grabbing my bag and keys.

"What, whose Archie Turner?" Cassie asked.

"Ash." I answered. "Looks like little shithead is already causing trouble." I laughed.

"Just sit tight and I'll be back in like 30 minutes." I looked at Maddy.

I grabbed my bag and keys before running towards the car and driving towards the school. I pulled up and walked into the office to see Ash sitting on one of the chairs. "Let's go delinquent." I looked at him signing out the form.

"Don't tell Fez." We both said when we got into the car. "You want food or some shit, I gotta go back to the salon and I can't drop you off at the gas station."

"Yeah." He replied.

After getting Ash Panda Express, we got back to the nail salon. "Hey Ash." Rue said when we walked in.

"Go seat and eat." I pointed at one of the chairs. "And we don't tell Fez that Ash is here? Got it?"

"Got it." The girls replied.

"So Archie, how was school today?" Jules teased and I tried to hide my laugh which turned into a snort.

"The fuck you just called me?" He raised an eyebrow.

"I just asked how was school Archie, did you make any friends?" Jules giggled.

"You better knock it off, I swear if I wasn't eating, I'll beat yo ass." He took another bite of his orange chicken.

"I think anger management should have been better than middle school." Kat looked at me.

"I thought about it." I shrugged.

"What you mean!" Ash yelled. "I ain't got anger issues!"

"Case and point." Rue pointed out.

"And if we did take him to anger management, he would be probably selling some shit and then we have to deal with angered drug addicts at our door at 2 am, and mama needs her beauty sleep." I teased.

"I don't know what beauty sleep you talking 'bout, cause you and Fez be at it all night with yo kinky shit." Ash grumbled.

"Archibald Johnathon Turner sit your ass down and eat your food!" I yelled.

"No wonder everyone calls him Ashtray." Maddy laughed quietly.

"He's just a little smart ass." I grumbled applying the top coat on her nails. "But I love him, he's my little smart ass. I LOVE YOU ASH!"

"I don't do that lovely dovey shit." He swatted the air. "Love you too I guess."

"Aww." Cassie teased pinching his cheeks. "That's so sweet."

"Oh my god, he didn't hit her." I titled my head watching Cassie peck his lips before returning to her seat. "I think there's something wrong?"

"No, I think he just got his first kiss." Maddy replied looking at Ash who now is blushing.

"Watch him go brag to McCay that his girl kissed him." I said to Maddy.
