Chapter 46

(A/N: Ok, depending how I feel, this could potentially be the only chapter for Fast 9 before I go straight to Fast X. Either way, hope you enjoy. XxD)

"Hey, Letty. Look at this," Mia called as her sister-in-law walked over from the other side of the small apartment they'd broken into, an apartment with a Mexican flag, in Tokyo. Han always said that Tokyo would be his Mexico with the way people flee over the border. The apartment was also their biggest lead on what Han had to do with Project Ares yet; Ares being a digital weapon like no other. If it was electronic and ran on zeroes and ones, Ares could control it and Dom's younger brother Jakob was after it, with the help of an old friend, Cypher.

"What the hell?" Letty said as she saw the photo Mia held, a photo of Han and a small girl.

"Han never mentioned a girl. Not ever," Mia said as she handed over the photo, and then the lights turned on.

"Letty, Mia! Duck now!" called a girl, a silver baton extending in her hand as both women moved out of the way.

And then came the gunshots.

The mystery girl was quick to incapacitate the first man that came shooting through the room while Mia and Letty took down another, sending him crashing into a wooden table.

And then came three more.

Mia was shoved into the kitchen counter as Letty was kicked to the floor, the youngest Toretto using whatever she could grab, that being a metal frying pan, and slamming it into the faces of the two guys that ran at her.

And then the window broke as a new figure burst through it.

Glass showered the room as Katrina Shaw raised her guns, and her bullets found their homes in the heads of the men in the room.

And when the last man managed to break out of the mystery girl's grip and run for Katrina, the woman was ready as she dropped her weapons, dropping low as she swept his legs out from under him before pouncing on his back and swiftly snapping his neck.

As Katrina stood, flipping her hair out of her face, the girl ran over to her in a hug.

"Are you alright?" Katrina asked.

"Fine," the mystery girl replied as Mia and Letty panted, looking on in confusion.

"Get in here," Katrina then called into her comms before finally turning to the other two women in the room. "Long time no see Letty," she smirked.

"Katrina. This is Mia, Dom's –"

"Dom's sister. I know who she is. Hi. I'm Katrina Shaw," she waved.

"You and your husband killed Han," Mia said, and Katrina laughed as she side-hugged Elle.

"I may be one of the best mercenaries in the world, but my talents extend well beyond just killing people. For example..."

And the sound of footsteps grew louder as someone else made their way in. Han.

"Keeping people alive," she finished, and Mia and Letty were quick to wrap their long-lost friend in a hug.

"How are you alive?!" Mia exclaimed as she pulled away from him.

"Katrina. She and Deckard never actually killed me. Turns out she knew all about Ares. She and Deckard helped fake my death before Mr Nobody contacted me. And then she and Mr Nobody started working together after that scuffle they had with Cypher. But I'm assuming you're here because of Ares?" Han asked.

"How did you know about Ares?" Letty asked and Katrina shrugged.

"Frank's systems aren't as secure as he'd like to think. I didn't trust that kind of technology in the hands of the government" she said nonchalantly.

"Fair," Mia shrugged.

"And Decks is a headstrong bastard, especially when it comes to family, but there was more benefit to Han being alive and my husband can't say no to me."

Letty scoffed and was about to respond, knowing all too well about the subject of headstrong husbands who were obsessed with family before Katarina's phone beeped and she sighed. "Pack your things. I've got a plane waiting. I'll drop you off wherever you need to go."

"You're not coming with us?" Elle asked, Katrina's attention still on her phone.

"I've got my own family to take care of, but, you have my number if you need me," she promised before they began packing, Han, Letty and Mia talking as Katrina raised her phone to her ear.

Meanwhile, in London, inside a rather fast and expensive car that didn't belong to her, Magdalena Shaw was getting a phone call.

"Hi, Mum. How've you been?"

"Kats? How the bloody hell did you do this? I didn't even press answer," Magdalena said, Dominic Toretto smiling at the scene.

"You don't get to press answer, mum, just like you don't get to watch your granddaughter without Decks or I around because you can't go five minutes without stealing something! And how dare you encourage this behaviour Toretto?! I thought you'd have parenting down by now."

The man chuckled.

"Nice to hear from you too, Katrina. Your mother just had some information I needed. Completely harmless," he promised, and she scoffed.

"Because that explains why the entire London Police Force is after you. By the way mum, I took out the lights up ahead, make a left, cops should be off your tail after that."

"You're a darling, you are. Get the E-brake for me, would you?" Magdalena asked as she shifted gears, Dom pulling up the handle before pushing it down as the eldest Shaw twisted the car around the ones crossing the intersection, turning left while the cops were caught up in traffic as the lights went crazy. "And shouldn't you be at home with my grandbaby?"

"Oh, please, mum. I had a baby, not a hip replacement. Deckard is more than capable of looking after his own daughter for a few days. I just had to tie up something in Tokyo. And anyways, you were up and out after you had Decks and Owen and Hattie."

"What about Tokyo?" Dom questioned as he grew worried.

"Relax Dom, your wife and sister are fine. They'll explain everything when they get back. As for you, Mother, I'm on my way home and we're going to have a serious talk about this."

"Looking forward to it, darling. Give my grandbaby a kiss for me."

"Will do. Love you, Mum. And try not to get arrested again."

Magdalena laughed. "No promises. Love you too, Kats."

And Magdalena just pushed her foot to the floor as the call ended.
