After Margarita had given out gear, Hobbs went over to talk to Hattie while Deckard was preoccupied talking to his wife.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"I'm not letting Hats do this alone. We'll be together. We'll be alright. And you're coming to get us. Not to mention I don't think anything can take down Hercules, considering that we did throw him out of a 4-story window and he's still standing," she joked, and Deckard cracked a grin.

"Kats please, I'm begging you here, don't go asking for trouble. Stay quiet. And I don't care what you have to do, nothing is worth you becoming like them."

"Alright. Dunno how long it'll last though. And Brixton may not have met me, but he knows turning me will make you suffer."

"Exactly, so don't give him a reason to hurt you. Hobbs and I will come and get you as soon as possible and you, Hats and that damn machine better be in perfect condition alright?"

Katrina laughed.

"Alright Decks."

And their lips met.

"Hey, think you can do me a favour?"

"Anything," he answered.

"Keep these safe for me," she said as she pulled off her wedding and engagement rings. "I don't want Brixton getting his hands on them."

The metal rings were warm in Deckard's hand as he curled his fingers around them, the edges of the diamond setting digging into his skin as he looked from the rings to his wife.

"Once we're in the clear, these are never coming off again, you hear me?"

"I hear you."

And Deckard pulled her in for another hug.

For what he hoped wouldn't be their last.
