Chapter 6: Harry Johnson

I was hoping that Caleb wasn't in my room when I got out of the shower but there he was. His arms were folded with the same cute glare that he always had when he was upset. This time however, it looked more serious than any other time.

"Hey, you are wearing the clothes I bought," I said trying to calm him down but it obviously did not work. He walked up and pushed me in my wet chest, making a small squish as I almost lost my footing.

"Hey man! That's abuse," I stated holding on to my towel.

"Why would you do that?" He yelled, "Chris is an amazing guy and all you are going to do is treat him like he is less."

"Whoa, whoa," I said putting my hand up in defense, "First and foremost, I would never treat Chris like that. You know I don't do anything like that so why would that even come out your mouth?"

"You don't mean to Harry but you do," he said not even hiding how deeply upset he is, "I just don't want you to hurt Chris. He is a very important part of why Darrius and I are together. They are like brothers and if you hurt him, it's going to affect my relationship. So, it would be best for you two to just leave it as it is."

I stared at him with my eyebrows together and my lip turned up. I took in a deep breath and said, "Naw."

He blinked and his eyes widen as he repeated, "No?"

"Nope," I stated seeing his white glow turning red as I approached him, "Caleb you can't tell me to do anything. Chris and I are both adults. If I want Chris, I want Chris. I've been wanting him for a long time and you know this."

He rolled his eyes and I said, "Don't disrespect me and if you roll your eyes again I will knock your ass into next week."

He looked straight at me now, still having that attitude written across his face. There were times when Caleb would get beside himself and think that he is older. That's when I have to turn into the bad guy. Caleb wasn't a spoiled kid, he just didn't know when to keep his opinions to himself. Especially when it came to me and relationships.

"Caleb your concerns are appreciated," I said placing a hand on his shoulder, "But don't ever feel like you can tell me what to do. That's where I have to put my foot down. I don't always need you telling me what I'm doing wrong. Like I told you last night, I am trying. I really shouldn't have to even explain things to you because I am taking care of you."

His face softens as it turns back to it's natural color. I continued, "I love you and I'm glad you care a lot about Chris. I will never try to intentionally hurt him. I finally have something with him. If it turns into more than all the better. However, right now we are casual."

I looked at him, still trying to get use to the new scar on his eye. He rubbed it and I cringed because it still hadn't really closed. It was small but it still made me want to kick that dudes ass that jumped him.

"Can you stop doing that," I told him, "Like it's making me want to slap a band aid on your face again."

"Darrius likes it," he stated smiling, probably forgetting what we were talking about.

"He says that so he can keep sleeping with you."

He glared at me and punched me in my chest again before leaving the room. However, he stopped in the doorway and said, "Side note for your safety. Chris isn't like all the other men you have dated. He can literally destroy everything in sight if he gets mad enough. Well, that is what Darrius told me. So be careful with his feelings."

I grinned and said, "Don't worry little brother. I got this. Besides, we should be really thinking about your party next week."

I let my towel drop and Caleb instantly regret staying in my room. He covered his eyes to close the door as I approached him.

"No, I think we should talk about this later."

"Hey," I protested as he closed the door, "You have seen Darrius dick a million times and you run from your brother's? Where is the loyalty?"

"You are so fucked up!" He yelled outside the door as I laughed before walking to my closet to get ready for work.

***

"No, I didn't ask for those shoes though," I yelled into my Bluetooth as I approached my building. It was still kind of cold out so I just wore a grey cashmere sweater with the usual black slacks and loafers. I greeted the front desk security, Langston, like always. His bright hazel eyes shot open as he greeted me back.

"Hello Mr. Johnson!" He said, "Johnathan is here and you have a package."

He pulled out a box small enough to fit in my hand. It must be Caleb's present for his birthday. I decided to go small this year because he says I get overly excited about his birthdays. So yeah maybe I spent like $27,000 on his sixteenth birthday gifts but he deserved them. I loved my brother and wanted him to have the world. So, if he wants something small, I'll give him something small...but big.

"Thank you, Langston," I said as Johnathan asked, "Please don't tell me you got him that stupid necklace you have been going on about."

"Hey!" I said running towards the elevator, "This necklace is encrusted with diamonds. What 18-year-old can say they have an encrusted diamond chain?"

"All the celebrity kids in the world. That's like a right of passage for them when they are born."

"Well Caleb is just getting his a little later than they are," I stated getting inside the cabin as Johnathan sighed, "Harry stop trying to push your style on Caleb. He doesn't like all the fancy stuff you do."

The elevator dinged as I made it to my 4th floor stop. I breezed passed my workers, waving every so often to my favorites. I rolled my eyes seeing Johnathan get out of his office next to mine.

As I unlocked my door, I looked at Johnathan and said, "How do you know what he likes?"

Succeeding at getting the door opened, I walked into my darkness. I pressed my blind opener to reveal the large window that over looked the busy streets of downtown. Johnathan came in after and answered, "Well I've known the boy since he was 10 and he told you he doesn't like your style."

"That's when we were broke and living in a one-bedroom apartment though."

"Plus, he called me and said- "

"Wait he called you!" I said putting my things on the clear desk. I knew what Johnathan and Caleb always talked about and I sighed, "I'm really not in the mood to - "

"So, you are banging one of his friends now?" Johnathan asked closing the door and I just wanted to get away from this conversation. Johnathan was my best friend that so happens to be straight as an arrow. Trust me, no amount of liquor or pick up lines can get him to go to the other side. However, he still wanted the best for me and he doesn't really agree with my method of dating. So, him and Caleb would talk about how to possibly get me the help I need or just nag my head off until I pretend I get them.

Johnathan stood there in his crisp ironed white button down and khakis with a low cut, smiling mischievously.

"So is it Evan or that little brat Michael," he asked me as I sat down, "They always gave off that vibe to me."

"First off neither one," I answered, "Second, he is one of his boyfriend's friends. Plus, he is way hotter than Evan and Michael."

He laughed and said, "So you are messing with young dudes now. You know younger people especially younger guys don't know what they want."

"Oh, so you are the expert now? Mr. I Haven't Had a Date in Two Years."

He frowns instantly as I grinned. Johnathan was a great looking guy, he just had trouble choosing the right woman. Ever since I started working with him, all his exes have been either using him or just plain crazy. I guess that's why we have been friends so long, you attract the people that are most like you. No matter the orientation.

He shook his head and said, "This isn't about me and we don't have a lot of time before your meeting so, tell me what this guy is like."

"None of your business," I said going through my computer files to find my presentation for the meeting, "We are casual right now and I will update you when we are actually serious."

"So in like three weeks," he laughed but his smile faded as I glared, "What? You move pretty fast. Which is why I need details now."

"Forget it and are the right shoes in along with the ones that I said not to get?"

"Yes, and can you at least show me a picture or something?"

"You know I really question some time if you are gay or not because what straight man wants to know about a gay man's relationships?"

He came and leaned over my desk as I pulled up Chris's Instagram profile. I turned to him and saw that his face had taken on a soft genuine expression before he said, "One that doesn't want to see you alone."

There was a short pause before he continued, "I care about your happiness Harry. Caleb does too, which is why we want to make sure whoever you date isn't just some fling or a temporary lonely fix. Seeing as he is his boyfriend's friend, this could effect him as well."

"You guys really do talk a lot," I stated leaning towards him, "You are starting to sound like one person. He said that this morning."

"Dammit!" He snapped his fingers in frustration, "He is always stealing my best advice."

I rolled my eyes as Johnathan finally looked at the screen. Chris was sitting on a stone wall in one picture with his shirt opened smiling towards the camera as the summer sun beamed down on his light skin. Johnathan nodded in approval and said, "Well, he most definitely can be a model and he does look way better than your brother's friends. However, I'm still going to be watching you."

I scoffed and finished downloading my project into my flash drive. I tossed it to Johnathan who stuffed it into his pocket before I grabbed the file folder from the shelf behind me.

"So, whose money are we getting today?" Johnathan asked and I said, "A fashion company. It's been building in private investment for a while and I want to use my store as an avenue to get it to the main markets."

"Okay so what is our pitch?" Johnathan asked and I just laughed. He rolled his eyes and slightly smiled as I said, "We are the pitch. We both have made many companies richer just by them trusting in us and letting us do what we do best."

Johnathan smiled leading the way out the door towards the elevator. Once we made it, the familiar knots in my stomach begin to form. It was all part of the game that got me to where I am today. If you stop getting nervous that means you have become comfortable and you should never feel comfortable when you're doing new business. Nerves helps me stay alert and focused on the goal: getting a profit for a company I believe is a success.

This was also just one of the avenues I had to make money. I invest in other things as well. I hit it big when I was younger because I really had nothing to lose. I had invested all my family money into different places just to see if any would take off and by the grace of God, they all did. I got to give my brother the life we both always wanted and the life my parent couldn't give us when they were still here.

I smiled thinking about how far me and my brother had come as the elevator dinged at the 3rd floor. This was a reserved spot for my meetings because I didn't want to be distracted with everything going on around me. I looked at Johnathan before getting off the elevator and said, "We've come a long way my friend."

He reciprocated my smiled and said, "Let's not start crying now, we got this money to make so we can stay where we at."

I slid out the elevator making a right towards double doors with a clear view of everyone in the meeting room. I looked at Johnathan one more time before we entered and I could tell that new money was on it's way into our account.

**

I left the office around 9 at night. That company was ruthless but I managed to get all of them to say yes but they had to speak with the owner before they made any further decisions. I did get them to supply at least over 5,000 pieces of clothing with a nice check of $200,000. I had to stay up and calculate how much it will cost to get them to certain stores to see how they sell and how much of that check would go into mine and Johnathan's accounts for the employees.

As I made it home, half dead, I looked to see that Darrius wasn't there. I took in a good breath because now Caleb and I could talk about his party. Opening the Mahongany doors, I immediately threw myself onto the couch completely forgetting about the papers in my car.

The aroma of chicken roamed through the house and I was just too tired to remove my face from the soft couch cushion.

"Bring me food," I yelled before I heard foot steps coming towards the living room. Caleb squats down to look me in the eye and his tenor voice asked, "Thought we couldn't have our feet on the couch?"

I knew he was talking about my awkward position with most of my body laying on the couch while the rest dangled over the arm rest.

"Correction, they are not on the couch," I said with my cheek slowly sinking into the cushion. Caleb laughed, "And I know you heard me say bring me food."

He laughed and asked, "Pretty hard day today?"

I sat up slowly and groaned, "Everyday is a hard day."

I could see the look of worry in my brother's face. I knew he didn't like me working so hard but it's how we can keep this house. Plus, we will be secured for our entire lives with my career. I patted the cushion next to me and he plopped down on to the couch.

I gave him a reassuring smile before I asked him, "How was your day? I see your boyfriend is not under you for once since the start of the year."

He intensely scowled for a few seconds but answered, "My day was good and he decided to hang out with his friends."

His face took on a somber expression. He must not be telling me everything or he was probably use to all the attention Darrius was giving him. I decided to pester him a little more to see what the actually problem was.

"So, he just decided to hang out with his friends," I said coming closer to him, "Or did something happen at school?"

He looked at me with those matching sapphire eyes and breathed out, "He said that he doesn't get to hang out with them as often but they play basketball together and eat lunch together."

"Yes, but he wants to do other things with them too Caleb."

"Yeah I know but I asked to come and he said no."

It took me a moment to really grasp what my brother was telling me and I just slightly laughed because this was my doing as well as his boyfriend's. Caleb really doesn't like the words no and wait. He will take them but he will be mad for a while about them. Just like this morning when he had to clarify that I even said no.

He looked at me, glaring again because I was laughing. He sarcastically mimicked my laugh before he asked, "What's so funny?"

"You are spoiled as fuck man," I stated jokingly, "I mean it's our own fault for giving into you but you are just so cute."

I pinched his cheeks but he roughly removed my hands from his face. After I calmed down from laughing I continued, "Caleb, let Darrius hang out with his friends without you. What is the worst that can happen?"

He paused for a moment before it seemed the light bulb went off in his head to let him know he was being selfish. I smiled before remembering that I still had no food in front of me.

"So," I said looking at him, "About this food."

He pushed me away playfully before getting up but before he left the living room, he went over to the marble fire place. He pulled a letter from off the arch and brought it over to me.

"Some guy came by after school and told me to give this to you," Caleb stated, "He said he is from some company that you want to have for the store."

I looked at the letter but it only had one name on it. I didn't pay attention to it because I was already opening it up. It was a short letter that said, "My colleagues have informed me of the presentation that you have given this morning. They were impressed and told me that I should meet with you. I am in town for a month to setup for a small gala and I would like to setup a meeting to discuss our future endeavors if we are going to work together."

I inwardly gave myself a high five. I would have to call Johnathan in the morning to tell him the good news. However, I couldn't go into the meeting without knowing the person's name. I had only gotten the names of the colleagues seeing as the owner was a private person. I turned the envelope over to see the name Robert Norway written in fancy lettering. Hearing that last name had me thinking about Chris and how his day was going. He was probably one of the friends hanging out with Darrius so it must be a good day for him.

I smiled remembering how he looked under me. I could still feel the small tear that came down my back as he came. Especially, remembering the way he squeezed around my dick. I licked my lips thinking about the next time I could get a taste. Hopefully after dinner Saturday and I wouldn't mind just laying down with him. He had a medium frame that fit well with mine and his body felt so strong I wanted him to just hold me all day.

An idea popped into my head thinking about him. I started to wonder how he would look on top of me while I took all that glorious dick he had.

"Harry!" Caleb yelled and I forgot he was still standing there. His forehead wrinkled as one of his eyebrows raised up before he said, "Do you want your chicken now or do you want to be alone with this letter?"
