"Doctor~"

The dark-haired man didn't reply as he stabbed the needle gently into his arm while sitting behind the patient. The man in a straightjacket winced at the pain but his smile still remained wide on his lips. Rorschach observed his reaction from the corner of his eyes with an unsettled expression. It was as if he barely felt anything every time. It didn't matter if he treated him harshly or not, Eli Clark always remained the same with him. It was frightening, to be honest.

Why was it so weird you may wonder.

The answer lay in this exact behavior from the patient.

Why was Rorschach the only one unscathed every time? How was it that when any other doctors came to treat Eli Clark they all came out of the room covered in wounds and hanging onto their life as much as they could?

He couldn't remember how many bodies he witnessed lying in a pool of blood due to the man.

The way he smiled so fondly at him but his eyes were covered behind that mask sent a shiver down his spine.

"I'm done."

"Already-? Are you gonna leave now?" he asked pitifully. Rorschach didn't answer and simply walked up to the door. "See you tomorrow, doctor."

The patient giggled and Rorschach hurried to get out and close the door, shutting the only source of light in the room.

Unfortunately, he saw the next day that he was still the one assigned to Eli Clark. It probably happened because everyone thought he was the only one able to handle that troublesome patient. It wasn't like this though. He didn't do anything. He didn't understand what was going on. The best thing to do was simply keep up the work and act as if it was any other patient. He could do this.

"Hello, doctor!" cheered Eli.

Rorschach nodded and approached the man sitting on the bed before opening his briefcase next to him. Due to all the problems he caused, everything was taken out of his room so only the mattress remained with a cushion and a blanket. It was pitiful but it was for the best. It would bode nothing good to try to change things.

He took his needle filled with a reddish fluid in it before going through the same procedure as yesterday. He didn't know what it contained and what it did to his patient but when he injected him with that suspicious formula, Eli would still for a few seconds as if he was in a daze. Rorschach always felt uncomfortable when it happened. He suspected this was probably not something approved legally but this place was handled by the government itself so he couldn't say a word even if he wanted to.

"It's over."

Rorschach stood up and cleaned up his stuff. He glanced at Eli and wondered why he wasn't saying something. He was always talkative to the point of giving him a headache whenever he was the doctor taking care of him. The uncanny silence suddenly broke up by the patient's laugh startled the doctor who flinched. What was it now...

"Doctor~ You never ask any questions, do you?"

"It would be inappropriate."

"Wow, you answered this time. Something great will happen today. Well, I guess it's just like you to be so professional."

"I'll leave now."

Rorschach walked away but a hand grazed his cheek and slammed against the door just as he was about to exit the room. His body froze and his hands held tightly to the handle of his suitcase. His blue eyes lifted anxiously to that hand in front of him and his ears flushed to the breath coming from behind. He couldn't apprehend what the hell was going on.

"You're not curious at all?" cooed Eli into his ear.

"H-How did you break free..."

"Oh, you asked after all? I'm so happy!"

Eli's voice was joyful once again but Rorschach jolted away when the latter laid a kiss on the nape of his neck out of nowhere. He stood in the corner of the room with his hand on where his lips touched his skin only to be startled once again when he felt blood drip out.

"W-What..."

Rorschach turned around to face the patient. A shiver ran down his spine watching Eli wipe some blood from the corner of his mouth. His lips were parted and he could see small pointy fangs protruding. The belts restraining the man were now laying on the floor, letting him completely free of his movements. He walked closer to Rorschach until he could grab his face softly in his hands, kissing him fondly on the cheek.

"You're so cute, doctor." Rorschach squinted at a weird smell reaching his nostrils. It was sweet and sour at the same time and made his legs weak. If it wasn't for Eli pinning him up to the wall he would probably drop to the floor. "You're always so good to me, I need to give you a reward, right?"

"A-A reward...?"

"Do you want it~?"

Rorschach groaned faintly. His body was burning hot and his skin was stinging when Eli grazed his fangs on the surface. It was horribly uncomfortable and simultaneously enticing.

"...se.... Please-"

"Even when you're begging it's so kindly done." Eli gave him a peck again before leaning in toward his neck. He tugged on Rorschach's collar to have a better view of his porcelain skin and licked his upper lip in anticipation. He couldn't wait to have a taste. "It won't hurt, don't worry. You'll even feel better."

Eli pressed his lips on Rorschach's neck as if to try its softness. His mouth opened wide after that and he bit at once, his fangs sinking deeply into his flesh. The doctor flinched. It wasn't a lie. It didn't hurt at all and instead, he felt like being embraced by warm arms, hugging him tightly and hanging on each of his limbs, not wanting to let him go.

Rorschach clung to Eli as he sucked his blood greedily. The vampire was not satisfied until the doctor called out to him, for he could feel his body going numb more than it should. It was the first time he had called him by name or even addressed him directly and Eli would remember it forever.

His thumb traced a line across Rorschach's plump lips before pushing them apart. His finger explored the inside of his mouth until it was covered in saliva before gently pulling on his tongue. Eli then bent over and pulled his tongue out as well, coming to meet the other one at its tip and then sliding down its length to discover every nook and cranny of his mouth by himself. Rorschach could taste the metallic taste of blood in the kiss but he didn't complain. His hands clutched at Eli's white dress as if to trap him in his hold.

Wet noises filled the room and only stopped when they ran out of air. Both of their faces were flushed just like rose buds.

"You're so lovely doctor, I love you."

Rorschach looked up at Eli with confusion. Love...? Was it really what it was? Did he feel this too? Otherwise, why would he kiss him back? Maybe one more time would help him find the answer.
