Mark began reading as Sean snuggled in and listened. "If it's in a word or its in a look, you can't get rid of the Babadook." Mark looked at Sean unsure about this book now, "Sean.. I don't know about this book.. why don't we pick another.." Mark said quietly "but Mark.." Sean whined. "Alright alright," Mark continued to read, turning the page. "If your really a clever one, and you know what is to see," He looked at the other page and hesitated, seeing the picture of a dark shadow, "You can make friends with a special one, a friend of you and me."

Mark turned the page, and continued, "His name is Mister Babadook and this is his Book, a rumbling sound then three sharp knocks, ba Ba DOOK, DOOK DOOK!...., That's when you'll know that he's around, you'll see him if you look," Mark looked at Sean then back at the book, turning the page and continuing. He saw a funny, crazy, creepy looking shadow character as he turned the page "This is what he wears on top, He's funny, dont you think?" Mark looked at Sean, "can I see him?" Sean asked eagerly, Mark showed him the character, Sean thought it was creepy but funny at the same time, he laughed and cuddled back down Mark continuing the book, "see him In your room at night.. and you won't sleep a wink,.." Mark whispered the last part, as he saw Sean getting scared, "Is he gonna get me?!" Sean coward under the blankets, Mark rapped him in a hug, "No.. No.. it's alright..Shhh.. it's okay.." Mark rocked Sean back and forth until he fell asleep.

Mark lay Sean down gently and kissed his forehead, then looked at the book, He grabbed it and began to read to himself, "I'll soon take off my funny disguise, And once you see what's underneath..(Take heed, of what you read,..) Your going to wish you were DEAD."  Mark carefully closed the book, that wasn't a childrens book, Mark held the book in his hands as he was leaving then he heard a little cold voice, "Don't leave.. The Babadook will get me.. if your gone.." Sean whispered. Mark went back to Sean's bed and crawled in, covering them both up, and turning out the lights. "Goodnight Sean," Mark smiled. "Goodnight.." Sean yawned. Marks eyes were open as he lay looking at the ceiling, then he heard a knocking sound come from beaneth the bed, KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK, He heard once more, He saw a shadow like creater crawl out from under the bed. He pulled the covers over his head and held Sean, who was still sleeping, he slowly looked out from the covers, and when he did so, the creature let out a spine shivering scream, then it repeated something in a hoarse voice carrying it out, "Ba ba DOOK DOOOK DOOOOK" It screeched. Single most scariest yet weirdest things Mark has ever seen. The creature jumped into the bed, as it did so Mark shot up and back to the headboard, he looked around, nothing, everything was silent.. he looked at Sean who was startled by Mark's suddenness.  Mark looked outside, it was daylight, Saturday morning, he hugged Sean thanking God that he was okay. Mark got up and went to the kitchen, Sean following and sitting on one of the chairs. Mark turned on the stove and began to make soup, since it's all he really knew how to make, that, and pizza, or chicken nuggets. After the soup was done he poured it into two bowls and sat it and crackers, down Infront of them both, he began to eat, "Ouch," Mark winced feeling something in his tooth, he look it out and there was a sharp price of medal, He quickly grabbed the bowl from Sean a searched it with a spoon to make sure it was safe, after he didn't find anything he looked at Sean, who was scared out of his mind, "It was the Babadook,..." Sean was about to cry. "Nonsense..  Sean it's gonna be okay.. it's just something was in the soup, factorys make mistakes too," Mark smiled, he knew something was wrong, but he wasn't going to tell poor Sean, he then put the dishes in the sink. "Since that meal went down the drain, I'll make us a pizza, while you run upstairs and get dressed." Mark smiled pulling out his phone. Sean ran upstairs to change. Mark called a pizza place and order a pepperoni pizza. As soon as the call was done he heard a crash and then a scream. "SEAN!" He yelled running upstairs, when he got there, Sean's room was dark, he turned on the light and saw the fallen dresser, hd panicked as he thought Sean was underneath. "Mark..." He heard a little voice from under the bed, Mark pulled Sean out from under the bed and hugged him,. "Are you okay..? What happened?." Mark questioned. "The Babadook.... Please don't think I'm crazy Mark.. I swear it! I saw him!" Sean was crying and shaking. Mark held him. "It's okay Sean...." Then the doorbell rang,. "tell ya what, after we eat the pizza, I'll take us for ice cream okay?" Mark smiled. "Okay! But.. I thought you were making it,.." Sean smiled. "Well.... Hey I gotta go get the door. " Mark and Sean walk out of the room, and down stairs, Mark opens the door and pays the pizza guy. They sat down and ate, after that, Mark put the paper plates in the trash and they both walked out to go get ice cream. After all the commotion of the day, Mark and Sean fell asleep watching cartoons.
