The Asset

(The B.U.S.)

Lyra's POV.

[Lyra's Outfit]

Whilst Fitz and Simmons are in the lab, Ward has just put up a boxing bag in which I am holding with both hanss as he punches it whilst we wait for Skye to come in for her mid-day training to become a S.H.E.I.L.D. agent, and the way Ward explained the S.H.E.I.L.D. training, its pretty much the same as level one basics in police training, which was a piece of cake for me seven years ago.

"You know, your late?" Ward asks Skye who is just now coming down the stairs in some sport wear I brrowed her, and Ward stops punching the boxing bag.

"I'm tired from this morning's work-out. Thought I was joining S.H.I.E.L.D. not twenty-four hours fitness." Skye whines.

"It's called relatives strength training, it starts with basics." I explain to her as Ward tightens the bandages on her fists.

"Yeah, and next time you can do fifteen push-ups for every minute your late." Ward adds.

"Fine, Mr and Ms. fun machines, next time I'll do pull-ups. I don't ever want to do a pull-up ever again." Skye tells us.

"Find yourself hanging off the edge of a building twenty stories up, your gonna want to do at least one." Ward recommends her before he stands in front of the punching bag.

"Stand like Ward, jack-cross." I tell her as I hold the boxing bag in preparation for Ward, and he punches it four times, twice with each fist "Ten minutes." I tell Skye. Skye then switches positions with Ward and stands jack-cross before starting to punch the boxing bag with both fists, but slowly and tiredly.

"You know the hardest part about boxing?" Ward asks her.

"Getting punched in the face?" Skye right hooks the boxing bag forcefully.

"Keeping your hands up." I tell her as I releae the boxing bag momentarily, and I put my fists in front of my face protectively before holding the boxing bag again.

"Why do we even need to do this? I'm sure Fitz and Simmons supervising officer didn't make them do muscle stuff." Skye complains as she continues to punch the bag with both fists.

"You said you wanted to be a field agent like Coulson?" Ward asks her as she stops punching the bag and looks to him "If you'd like to switch disciplines..." He trails off as he turns to Fitz and Simmons who are testing a spray against an invisible laser light "Hey, Simmons. What did your S.O. give you guys for morning field?" He calls.to her through the open lab doors.

"Oh, atomistic attribute drills. Yeah, we named a mechanical chemical firm." Simmons begins to list.

"Electrical properties and materials-" Fitz tries to say, but Skye cuts him off.

"Okay, okay, I get your point." Skye sighs, and Skye begins to punch the boxing bag again with both fists.

"There will become a moment when you have to commit to this, or bail. Lyra obviously chose commit as she became a police officer. Every field agent has a defining moment, ask Coulson. You have to make the hard call, you need to dedicate yourself to this, or curl up into a ball and run." Ward explains to her.

"How can you run if your curled up into a ball?" Skye asks him confused with slight sarcasm.

"It's his job as your S.L. to make sure you don't die before then, it's just the same like me being your older sister. Come on." I tell her, and she begins to punch the boxing bag with more force.

"So what was yours? Agent Ward and Agent Lyra?" Skye asks us, but neither of us answer.

"Ten minutes." Ward avoids the question.

"Your defining moments?" Skye asks us, but we still don't answer "Come on, tell me, I wanna know. I could get Coulson to give you guys some of that truth serum and you guys can spill your little hearts out to me." She says to us.

"You mean my level one overshare that made you co-operate?" Ward hides a smile as she stops hitting the bag.

"I knew that truth serum wasn't real, you would've gave up some real dirt if it was." I say to him with a smile, and he looks down at Skye fake apologetic expression.

"I hate to tell you this, rooky. We don't have a truth serum." Ward tells her distraught face.

"Changing course, briefing in three." May tells us over the coms in The B.U.S..

"Well, looks like we're on the move." Fitz tells us as he and Simmons take off their lab coats before they, myself and Ward leave distraught Skye behind.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. 616 with new orders, set with Colorado air-field north." May tells us over the coms.

After Ward, myself and Skye changed out of our exercise clothes, we walk into the briefing room where Coulson, Fitz and Simmons are waiting.

[Lyra's Outfit]

"A few minutes ago a S.H.I.E.L.D. transport truck was attacked while carrying a priority red protective asset of route seventy-six near Sterling." Coulson in forms us as he holds an electronic tablet.

"Priority red?" Simmons asks a little shocked.

"The asset was Canadian physicist Dr. Franklin Hall, known for his work-" Coulson tries to say, but Simmons cuts him off as Coulson swipes Hall's I.D. and info up from the electronic tablet to wall computer.

[Dr. Franklin Hall]

"-No, no. Frank." Simmons sighs upset.

"Dr. Hall was our Chemical Kinetics Advisor out second year." Fitz explains.

"Yeah, he is so enthusiastic about science we just absolutely adore him. We can rescue him, can't we?" Simmons asks Coulson.

"He's one of ours. We're gonna try." Coulson assures her.

"And the attackers?" I ask Coulson.

"Invisible." Coulson states before he walks into the lounge.

"Wait, invisible?" Skye says before she laughs exited "Cool..." She smiles before I give her an incredulous look "... But terrible." She adds.

(Skip to Route 76, Sterling, Colorado)

After arriving in Sterling Coulson, May, myself, Skye, Ward, Fitz and Simmons walk along Route 76 and towards the crime scene.

"Dr. Hall was an asset?" Skye asks for clarification.

"One of a few select scientists S.H.I.E.L.D. has been protecting, people our enemies would love to get their hands on. We keep them hidden, keep them on the move." Coulson explains to her.

"Which is why Fitz and I were so lucky to have him." Simmons adds.

"We don't have him anymore." Coulson says to us.

"And what does priority red mean?" Skye ask us confused.

"It means security should have been..." I trail off as we all stop walking and look up at a tree in on the side of the roadto see a truck in a tree "... Heavy." I say confused to how the truck got up there.

After tracking further up the Route, we see more of the crime scene where there are multiple S.H.E.I.L.D. agents at the scene and Coulson and May are interrogating the driver of the truck whom is in the back of an ambulance as Ward, myself, Skye, Fitz and Simmons look over some of the contents from the truck that are scattered across the Route.

"Fitz, what am I seeing here?" Simmons asks him whilst she wears Full Spectrum Goggles and holding an Electro-Static Field Scanner to the ground in her right hand.

[Full Spectrum Goggles]

[Electro-Static Field Scanner]

"Well, I'm not wearing the Full Spectrum Goggles I designed, so..." Fitz trails off lightly chuckling "... No clue. Let me have a look. Come on." He walks over to her for her to hand the Goggles over.

"No, whoa, whoa, whoa! Wait! Don't move. Wait a second." Simmons tells him as she looks to the ground, a d Fitz stops walking confused.

Simmons then picks up some rubble in her left hand from the ground, and she hesitantly throws it into the air and it begins to float, and more rubble from the ground rises and begins to turn into a tornado.

"I think the Electro-Static Field Scanner activated some... Thing." Simmons explains, but I don't think she completely knows what it is either. The floating rubble then begins to fire in different places like firing bullets, and we take some distance as Coulson and May walk over confused.

"Okay, can we deactivate it? Now?" Coulson asks Simmons as the rubble begins to get more violent.

"Have to increase the density. I tried, Fitz, but... Fitz! Whoa." Simmons says before the Electro-Staric Field Scanner short circuits in Simmons hands making her drop it, and the rubble all fall to the ground. Simmons then picks something up off of the ground with her right hand, and she shows it to us, some type of metal stick.

[Sealed Gravitonium]

"That did all this?" I ask confused as Coulson takes the stick in his right hand.

"What is that?" Skye asks him confused.

"Something big." Coulson states as he looks at the object.

After arriving back to The B.U.S. with some samples from the crime scene Coulson, May, myself, Skye, Fitz and Simmons are in the lab, and Fitz and Simmons are scanning the metal stick we found on the electronic table as we try to figure out how the captures found Dr. Hall.

"Either someone cracked your coms system, or Dr. Hall's movements were leaked from inside S.H.I.E.L.D." I explain to Coulson.

"You really think we have a mole?" May asks Coulson thoughtfully.

"I think you should go through the communication logs, rule it out." Coulson tells May "We'll work the tractor tread that we found on the scene." He refers to the rest of us before May leaves.

"I can do that instead of pull-ups. I can upload an image of the tread pattern, check to see if there's any sort of-" Skye tries to say, but Ward walks in with an electronic tablet and cuts her off.

"-Already done." Ward says as he pulls up the model as he swipes it up from the electronic tablet to the wall computer "Matched it to a 2010 model. Found a list of purchasers within a 500-mile radius, narrowed down to those with priors, financial troubles, or propensity for risk-taking..." He explains before pulling three male I.D.'s from the electronic tablet to the wall computer "... Three suspects." He tells him.

"Who may have sold their construction equipment to the kidnappers." I suggest.

"We'll ask." Coulson tells us before Ward leaves.

"Hey, so, Ward said a funny thing. He said that you guys don't have a truth serum." Skye says to Coulson questionably.

"Did he? Ward said that?" Coulson smiles at her.

"Yeah." Skye states.

"Interesting." Coulson continues to smile.

"Yeah." Skye nods in repetition, and Coulson begins to walk away "Hey, wait... Hey." She calls after him, but arrives and interrupts her before handing Skye a large file of paper "Do you want me to bench press this?" She asks unsure.

"Read it. Every communication out of HQ since they decided to transfer Dr. Hall. Lyra, you can go get ready with Ward before we land." May tells us before she leaves.

"Hang in there, Doc. It's gonna be a while." I pat the top of the file before walking away.

After contacting one the three suspects, Todd Chesterfield, and locating him in Barnroof, right now we are waiting at the location he agreed to meet at in the mountains, and as Ward and myself take cover in the mountains as we watch Coulson in the clearing standing beside his Lola. About ten minutes after arriving, Chesterfield finally arrives on a horse, and he approaches Coulson as he still rides it.

[Todd Chesterfield]

"Who the hell are you?" Chesterfield asks Coulson with a thick, Texan accent.

"A concerned citizen who happens to be a member of a giant bureaucratic organization that's tracking your every move." Coulson explains to him.

"I haven't done anything wrong." Chesterfield tries to defend himself.

"Of course not, but you sold your excavator to some people who did. And you're hiding out here until things cool down because you know it. I just want to know who paid you." Coulson says to him, and Chesterfield suddenly pulls out a gun with his right hand from his holster and aims it at Coulson.

"Paid me enough not to answer any questions like that." Chesterfield tells him.

Ward and myself then quietly walk up from behind Chesterfield and his horse, and I take out my gun as Ward grabs Chesterfield's right wirst with his right hand, and he twists his wrist making him release the gun, and Ward catches it before I grab Chesterfield by the back of his collar and pull him to the ground off of his horse, and both Ward and myself aim our guns at him, Ward aiming Chesterfield's.

"Feels like the old west." Ward comments.

"They gave me money for my equipment. That's all. I never saw a face. I never heard a name." Chesterfield defends hinself as he raises his hands I surrender.

"And how did you receive this money? They write you a check?" I ask him, and he points to a bag on his saddle with his right index finger, so Ward grabs the bag and empties the contents on the ground, revealing about a dozen blocks of gold.

"Paid you in gold?" Coulson asks him surprised.

"Now it really feels like the old west." Ward comments.

After arriving back at The B.U.S. and tracking the gold payment back to a man named Ian Quinn, owner of Quinn Worldwide, and right now Skye and myself are standing in the lab with Fitz and Simmons as they update us on what the metal stick' S results from the Crime scene and how it links up to Quin and Hall.

"Gravitonium. It's an extremely rare high-atomic numbered element." Fitz states as he refers the the 3D model diagram of the Metal stick on the computer table.

"That powers the device. It's so extremely rare that most people didn't believe it existed, much less the theory that an isolated positive charge..." Simmons trails off explaining.

"... Would turn the flow from isotropic-" Fitz tries to say, but Skye cuts him off.

"-Guys, high-school dropout here. How does the device work again?" Skye asks clueless, so I take over.

"In simpler words, Gravitonium distorts gravity fields within itself, causing an undulating, amorphous shape. Which causes these wiggly bits here, but when an electric current is applied, the Gravitonium solidifies. And those gravity fields erupt, randomly changing the rules of gravity around it." I explain to Skye as I point to different parts of the metal stick.

"And you know that how?.." Skye asks me confused.

"Because I listen to every word they say, and I didn't drop out of school." I tell her before Fitz goes over to his computer.

"Well, so, now you can imagine what would happen to a big rig at 100 kilometers per hour. Or, uh, well, you could just remember, 'cause we saw it already, didn't we?" Fitz asks us as Skye looks into the file May gave her on the computer table.

"Yeah, and guess which genius published every theory about Gravitonium and possible applications... Years go?" Simmons asks her.

"Dr. Franklin Hall." Skye states.

"Correct. And Dr. Hall attended the University of Cambridge at the same time as Ian Quinn." Fitz explains.

"Coulson may be off on this. Quinn is a notoriously good guy. His charity endowment's something like $8 billion." Skye explains.

"Yes, with money made from leeching the earth of its resources. Looks like he's dug up another." I say to them.

After the four of us teamed up with Coulson, Ward and May in the briefing room up, we begin to come up with a plan to rescue Hall from Quinn.

"The man's a prisoner, and it's up to us to get him out." Coulson says to us.

"We've checked the specs. There's no way into Quinn's compound without a large S.H.I.E.L.D. strike force or a man inside. He's got neodymium laser fencing surrounding the property." I explain.

"They'll never allow a strike force into Malta. Plus, this weekend, Quinn world wide's got it's annual shareholders gathering. We'd risk global outrage, but..." Coulson trails off.

"... If we go in alone..." May trails off.

"... S.H.I.E.L.D. can disavow us, claim ignorance." Coulson finishes.

"Without a man inside, it's impossible, unless you're immune to pulse laser emissions." Ward explains.

"If we had a monkey, we could get in." Fitz suggests, and I look at him confused.

"Ugh, Fitz!"Simmons groans in annoyance.

"If we had a small monkey, he could slip through the sensors and disable the fence's power source with his adorable little hands." Fitz explains.

"Lyra and myself could go in." Skye suggests, and we all look over to her as she types on her phone.

"Drop me in the hills outside of Valletta. I'll spend a few weeks establishing a cover, gathering intel-" Ward tries to say, but Coulson cuts him off.

"-Hall doesn't have a few weeks." Coulson tells him.

"And to restate, any Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. caught on Maltese soil can be shot to death with bullets. Legally." Simmons explains.

"Yeah." Fitz agrees.

"Not me and Lyra. We could go in." Skye tells them, but I can sort of see where she is going with this.

"Skye, this is serious." Ward tells her.

"Wait. What are you saying?" Coulson asks her, wanting to hear her plan.

"Well, we're not Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., so we can go in without breaking all these stupid rules." Skye explains as she continues to type on her phone.

"International laws." I point out.

"This isn't something the Rising Tide can hack, Skye. Lyra could possibly go in undercover because she's had experience, but you haven't." Ward explains to her.

"It would be easier if I just go in." I suggest to Coulson, wanting to protect Skye.

"Did you hear the deadly lasers part? Without a brave monkey-" Fitz tries to say, but Skye cuts him off.

"-You said you could go in with a man or two inside." Skye says to me.

"And you want to be those guys?" May asks us.

"Fitz and Simmons loved the guy, and he needs help. They could be torturing him, or worse, making him do strength-training." Skye says before going back to typing on her phone.

"But you don't have the background or clearance or experience with any of this. Lyra has all the training from being on the force and if you blow yours and Lyra's cover, she might not be able to get you guys out." Ward explains to her.

"I know. But I've got an invitation." Skye states as she shows us her phone, and it shows an E-Vite to Quinn's Share Hold Gathering "Well, technically, it's an e-vite." She clarifies.

"Both of you are going. May, set a course to Quinn's Compound" Coulson tells myself and Skye, then May.

After a loud conversation between ward and Coulson had conversed in Coulsons office, most likely about Skye going undocver with no training, I'm sitting in the landing bay with Ward and Skye as we both teach Skye how to tackle and retrieve an automatic from the enemy's hand.

"Now, again, slowly, what's first?" Ward asks Skye as he holds a fake, wooden gun up to her with his right hand, and I sit on the stairs as I watch her. Skye then grabs his right hand with her right hand and pushes her back against his chest.

"And then?" I ask her.

"Then things are moving too quickly. I'm a proper southern girl." Skye says, and I sigh annoyed at her immatureness. She needs tp know this "You'll make me untidy." She says in a southern accent, so Ward, also annoyed, steps away from Skye and begins to demonstrate again.

"Twist the thumb, palm the barrel." Ward explains to her before he puts the gun in his holster "You're gonna die and leave us hanging out to dry, you know that? You're going in with no self-defence skills-" He tries to say, but Skie cuts him off.

"-I have a few tricks up my sleeve, Lyra has taught me a few things." Skye tells him.

"Not enough. You need muscle memory, fundamentals, the tools to turn yourself-" Ward tries to say, but Skye cuts him off again.

"-Into a whole bag of tools?" Skye asks him.

"How did you learn computer science without committing yourself to it?" Ward asks her.

"C.S. comes naturally to me. I'm sorry I'm not naturally whatever you are." Skye sarcastically apologises.

"You think this came naturally? I had a brother who beat the crap out of me, me and my little brother, for nothing, for eating a piece of his birthday cake. I had to learn to protect us the way I am trying to protect you. That was my moment. You asked." Ward explains to her, and she nods her head slightly is shock.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to push. But I did manage to take this." Skye says as she shows the gun she slyly took from Ward's holster in her right hand.

"Getting the gun is one thing." I say to her as I stand up and Ward takes the gun back with his right hand "Pulling the trigger, that is another." I explain to her.

"Do I get to hear your 'big moment' now?" Skye asks me.

"No." I tell her sternly "I'm going to get some sleep before we land. Train." I tell her before I walk up to my bunk.

After Ward finished his training with Skye, right now Coulson, May, Ward, myself, Skye, Fitz and Simmons are in the briefing room discussing the mission.

"Lyra and Skye will walk in the front door. The only external access point to Quinn's underground facility is from a beach cove. A two-man extraction team could slip in there, but it's not easy. Fitz-Simmons." Coulson explains as a plan of the compound and underground facility is shown on the wall computer.

"The perimeter is surrounded by a 20-foot-high neodymium laser grid. Touch it and you're toast." Fitz explains.

"Dead toast. The only way to disable the grid is to crack the system and trigger a reboot. This would give the team three seconds to cross. Of course, Quinn's too smart to allow any wireless access on his property." Coulson explains to us.

"That's where me and Skye come in." I say to them, and Simmons opens up a small briefcase on the table computer.

"Yes, working compact, holds up under x-ray." Simmons explains as Fitz takes out and opens a mirror and powder foundation compact from the briefcase.

"Desert rose to match your complexions. But ... Oh, what's this?" Fitz asks as a few red lights show up on the mirror "A readout, okay? Turns green if you're in close enough proximity to a computer to gain wireless access." He explains.

"When it does, you just drop this nearby and walk out. We'll do the rest. Easy as pie." Simmons tells us.

"Or it will be if you stick to the plan." Ward says as he looks at my sister as he loads a clip for the gun I borrowed him.

"Got it. Plan, green, drop, walk... Lie." Skye nods understanding before Fitz gives us both a working compact.

"Alright, team. Suit up." Coulson tells us.

(Skip to the Quinn Compound, Republic Of Malta)

[Lyra's Outfit]

After Skye and myself change into our outfits that Skye whose for us, and I covered my scars around my neck with make-up, we pull up in a taxi at Quinn Compound in Malta.

When me and Skye arrive at the Quinn Compound, we climb out of the Taxi that has just pulled up.

"You know there is two things I hate. Dresses, and pink." I complain as we both climb out of the taxi and watch all of the guests enter the Compound.

As we walk into the Compound and enter the party beside a pool, Skye motions for a waitress carrying a tray of Champagne with her right hand, and Skye picks up a glass Champange with her right hand, but I take it from her with my right hand and place it back on the tray.

"Thank you." I thank the waitress, and she walks away. A waiter then walks by us carrying a tray with small cuisines on it with his right hand, and Skye takes one with her right hand as he passes us, and she places it in her mouth.

"Who are you?" A man walks up to us and asks us with an Arabic accent, and a younger man walks up next to him with a quick pace.

[Qasim Zaghlul]

[Translator]

"Oh, apologies for his manners. He knows very little English." The younger man apologises, whom I persume is a translator for the other man.

"Oh, that, uh, that's... What... Whatever." Skye stutters, not knowing what to say with her mouth full, and she quickly swallows the small cuisine.

"My apologies on her behave, she's used to being behind a computer and not saying much." I explain to them "I'm Lynda, and this is my sister, Sarah." I introduce us with fake names as I shake the man's right hand with my right hand.

"Qasim Zaghlul." The old man introduces himself, and Simmons, Fitz and May begins to feed us information about Zaghlul through our coms.

"Big fan. You built half of Dubai, including the Arabian blade. I love that building. It's super sci-fi. Where's your wife..." Skye trails off.

"Wife's name's Nadrah." May tells us over our coms.

"...Nadrah?" Skye asks him.

"Twin sons." May informs us.

"She staying at home with the boys?" I ask him with a bright smile.

"Yes, I'm afraid she was unable to come." Zaghlul tells us.

"We must get going, it was a pleasure taking with you." The translator says to us.

"The pleasure was all ours." I assure them before Skye and myself walk away.

"I could get used to this, people. It's like sirf it worked." Skye says to me, but I step in front of her when I see Quinn on the other side of the garden.

[Ian Quinn]

"We see Quinn, should we move in?" I ask May over my com.

"Move in." May tells me.

I then step back to Skyes left side before we walk over to the other side of the garden where Quinn is talking with two men and a woman, and they all begin to laugh at something Quinn said as we arrive, and their laughter calms down as we arrive, and Quinn looks directly at us.

"Ian Quinn. I'm your last-minute party crasher, along with my sister. Sarah, and my sister, Lynda." Skye introduces us, and Quinn shakes Skye right hand with his right hand, and he looks to me but I begin to glances around the exterior.

"Oh. Wow. Great to meet you." Quinn shows off a billionaire smile at us before turning to his friends "Um, this is Sarah, a member of the Rising Tide. They're a group of hackers. They've gotten some pretty big secrets out to the public..." He introduces her to his friends before looking back at Skye and myself "... And your sister, protective older sister or also part of the Rising Tide?" He asks Skye as he looks at me.

"Definitely protective older sister, but just by my side to make sure things go smoothly. And I prefer 'Hacktivist'. I'm glad you've heard of our site." Skye explains.

"I read it. We think very much alike... More freedom of information, less government infringing on everyone's rights... I'm a fan." Quinn states.

"That explains the invite. This is a tough party to get into." Skye admits.

"Not as hard to get into as the encrypted back channel you contacted us through to request the invite." Quinn says to her, and Skye begins to laugh.

"That's sort of where I live." Skye admits as her laughter calms down.

"You've got to show me how you did that... I mean, if you sign on." Quinn says to her.

"Sign what, now?" Skye asks confused for the both of us, but She doesn't try to cover up the confusement at all.

"I've been known to turn a few black hats into white hats, not just for vulnerability analysis, but for very creative thinking." Quinn explains a job offer, but Skye still looks clueless.

"That's the reason we're here, job offer." I say to Skye as I play along with Quinn.

"Yes, well, I didn't invite you here for your pretty face, especially your sister's." Quinn smiles at me, douche. "Yes, I want to hire you before someone else snatches you up." He states before he walks away.

"That seemed to go well." May says to us.

"Yeah. It did." Skye agrees as Quinn goes up onto a stage on the far end on the garden before he stands in front of a microphone.

"Many of you shareholders have been with us for years, and I see a few new names here, but I want to thank you all for traveling so far to this beautiful country and, well, for slumming it at Shaba Tal-Banar." Quinn speaks, gaining the crowds laughter for a moment before he continues to speak "This country where we are allowed to pursue progress and profit without the stranglehold of regulations that are now choking our world. The United States government, the R.U., the DRTC, S.H.I.E.L.D.... These are just a few of the institutions that are guilty of halting the development of new technology for anyone... Except themselves. We dare defy them with a new idea, they steal in and sweep it out from under us. But not today. You're all aware of what Quinn worldwide has been able to do with basic minerals, let alone uranium or plutonium, despite these unjust restrictions that weigh the scales in the other guy's favour. Well, today, I'm announcing something new..." His voice fades out of our ear reach as Skye and myself weave our way out of the crowd and into the Compound, hopefully without being too noticeable. Skye and myself then head past an front office desk before walking up a narrow hallway.

"Computer signals coming from the door on your right." Simmons tells us, and I walk up to said door and try to open the door with my right hand on the handle, but it's locked.

"It's locked." I tell them.

"Check for a keypad." Fitz tells us, and I look up and around the door, before running my right hand over the left side of the door frame, and then over the right side of the door frame, but it's solid wall

"Nothing." I state.

"You can hack a keypad?" Skye asks them confused, but there must be some type of scanner on the door handle.

"No, not with a phone." Fitz tells us.

"Is there a reception desk?" May asks us.

"End of the corridor." I state before Skye and myself walk over to the front office desk.

"Now what do we do?" Skye asks them as I look.ocer the desk discreetly for a key pad or key card, but there isn't either.

"What are you trying to do?" Someone asks, and we both turn to look at the double doors leading to the garden to see Quinn and four men behind him.

"Looking for the restroom, small bladder when it comes to my sister and her champagne." I show a curt smile.

"What are you really doing?" Quinn looks to Skye, and I glance at her skeptically for an answer.

"Alright, busted. I was trying to get a glimpse through the office door to see how things really operate." Skye admits smiling.

"I invite you here as a guest you treat me like another corrupt institution, looking for trade secrets to leak online. Security." Quinn states, and the four men beside him go to move, and I ball my right hand into fist until Skye speaks up.

"No, no, no. Wait." Skye tells them, nd the security stops moving as Skye looks to me.

"Give us a few minutes, would you?" Skye asks me as she refers to herself and Quinn as she nods her head slightly to the left at Quinn.

"... Five." I look to Quinn, whom looks back at me before he turns to one of his security guards on his right and whispers something.

"Follow me." Quinn motions with his right hand down the hallway where Skye and myself had went earlier.

Quinn and his security then  begin to walk down the hallway along with Skye, and I stand by the desk as I watch Quinn scan something on his right cuddling against the door handle on the door that was locked, and Quin, Skye and all four of the security guards enter the room before the door closes behind them.

"Connect me to Skye's com." I tell May over my com as our coms weren't connected as we weren't supposed to split up.

"It's just, with all these la-di-da people, you have to be so guarded, so careful ... What you say, what secrets you reveal. And I was hoping that you and I could be honest with one another. If you know what I mean." I hear Skye over my com "Wow, that's a less space, more wheels. Wow, a view of the ocean and the pool." She sighs.

"Not a bad place to do business-" Quinn is cut off when I loose communication with Skye's com.

"I lost her, what's happening?" I ask May, Fitz and Simmons confused.

"We've lost her too." Simmons tells me.

"Get her back." I tell them.

"We can't, she blocked us out on purpose." May tells me.

"Damn it, Skye." I breath.

"Skye's offline. Repeat, we've lost audio and vitals." May says to everyone.

"Abort is not an option, but if she's compromising-" Ward tries to say, but Coulson cuts him off.

"-Skye and Lyra are still our only way in to get to Dr. Hall. And we're their only way out. Have we still got Lyra?" Coulson asks.

"I'm here." I tell him.

"Lets carry on with the plan." Coulson tells us.

"Lyra, I'm receiving electronic signals beside you." Fitz tells me, and I turn to look at the desk beside me.

I then open my clutch before taking out the compact make-up with my right hand before I open it on the desk, and the lights turn from red to green before a computer rises from the desk as part of the desk seperates.

"It's our lucky day." I say to them.

"We're in." May says.

"You've done it." Simmons tells me.

"Fitz, your up." I tell him, and after minute or so a security guard exits the room that Quinn, Skye and other guards are inside, and the guard walks down the hallway, but stop walking when he sees me and he looks at me suspiciously.

"Lyra, they're in." May tells me.

"Perfect timing." I smile at both May and the security guard before I drop my clutch onto the floor and I take out my gun that is strapped to my upper right thigh.

"Omega, we have-" I cut the security guard off as he talks into his com, and I shoot him in the lower left abdomen, sending him to the ground, but he doesn't bleed as I walk over to him as he lays unconious. Bulletproof vest. I the take his gun out of his holster with my left hand before I slide it away on the floor.

"Fitz, Simmons?" I ask them both, and the door unlocks before I kick it wide open with my right foot and my gun at the ready, and I see Skye with a gun aimed at Quinn whom has three security guards beside him whom has guns aimed at Skye, but two of them suddenly aim their guns at me as I circle them and stand to Skye's left.

"I palmed his gun." Skye smiles.

"Lyra, Dr. Hall set us up." May tells me.

"What?" I ask May confused.

"I said, I-" Skye tries to say, but I cut her off.

"-Quinn and Hall are working together." I glare at Qui n

"Quinn built a gravity generator, like the one we found but bigger. Hall knew Quinn would need him to control its raw power, but Hall just wanted to unleash it." Coulson informs me.

"The one we found was 2.5 centimetres in diameter. It stopped a semi. How big are we talking?" Simmons asks him.

"12 feet. It'll definitely take down the entire compound." Coulson tells us.

"It'll sink the place." Simmons says.

"No, it'll do more than that." Fitz corrects them.

"Work a solution. I'll disconnect the power before things get... Crazy." Coulson says to us.

"Already crazy. Ward, meet us by the pool." I tell him as I kick my heels off "Time to go, little sis." I I open the glass door leading to the balcony with my left hand as I keep my gun aimed at Quinn.

"I'm by the pool." Ward tells me.

"Jump." I tell Skye.

"Wait, what?" Skye asks me incredulously.

"Jump." I glance at her, and she looks over the balcony before climbing on top of the brick railing so she stands before she hesitantly jumps off with a light scream.

"Ward?" I ask him.

"Skye's on her way to the B.U.S." Ward informs me.

"Terrible party." I smile at Quinn before I put the safety on my gun and I use my left hand to push myself up and over the balcony, and the next thing I know I'm diving into the water.

I then swim up to the and he of the pool, and I lift my head up and out of the water to see Ward crouching down with his right hand outstretched towards me as he holds my M4 in his left hand, and I take his right hand in my right hand before he helps me out of the pool, but as he does so the ground begins to shake as if an earthquake is occurring.

"Gravitonium" I sigh as I release Ward's hand, and three of Quinn's security guards appear out of the compound across the pool, and they all go to take out their guns.

I then swiftly take the safety off my gun before I fire at all of their left ankles, and only taking one shot each they all fall into the pool, screaming. I then glance at my chest to see wet make-up running down, meaning my scars a beginning to show. I then walk.over to one of the party tablet and pick up a silk scarf before wrapping it around my neck, and I look up to Ward to see him quickly looking away from my neck.

[Lyra's Scars]

[Scarf]

"Got something you wanna say?" I ask him as I finish wrapping the scarf around my neck.

"Not at all." Ward states "After you." He motions his left hand towards the back of the Compound, and I run ahead with him following in suit.

[Lyra's Outfit]

After Coulson deactivated the Gravitonium and stopped the Gravitonium from enveloping the whole compound or maybe Country, which did end in the death of Hall and Quinn's escape, ward and myself managed to escape with Coulson and Skye in a Quinjet. The next morning, I hold a hanging boxing bag with both hands in the landing bay as Skye punches a boxing bag bag, and I glance up to see Ward walk down the staircase.

"You and your brothers... Where'd you grow up?" Skye asks Ward as he walks over, and she continues to punch the boxing bag.

"Massachusetts, mostly." Ward answers simply.

"A house?" Skye asks him.

"You didn't?" Ward asks her, but then glances at me so I guess he's asking both of us, and she stops punching the boxing bag and drops her fists.

"One house. The Brody's." I answer him before I walk over to Skye and help her tighten her bandages on her right fist.

"I was 9, Lyra was 11. Sent us back to St. Agnes after a month. Said we weren't a good fit." Skye explains to him as I begin to tighten Skyes the bandage on her left hand.

"Foster parents. Your first?" Ward asks, but I shake my head lightly, no

"Our third. I didn't like any of 'em..." I admit, and I look up at Skye's face as I finish tightening her bandages "But you did..." I remind her.

"I had heard it before, but... This one was different." Skye admits.

"'Cause you wanted them to like you." Ward says to her, and she nods lightly.

"Bad. I called her 'mom' once... Tried it out. Guess it wasn't a good fit..." Skye sighs before she walks back over to the punching bag, and I do too as I hold it for her as she begins to punch it with one fist after another, starting with her left "... Hoping for something and losing it hurts more than never hoping for anything." She admits, and I look at her with sorrow as I couldn't give her the childhood she wanted.

"It was you." I look at Skye.

"What?" Skye asks me confused as she continues to punch the boxing bag.

"My moment: The moment you were born." I admit to her, and she stops punching the boxing bag and looks at in shock.

"You remember when I was born?" Skye asks me confused.

"I remember a doctor holding me up to a window in the hospital, and he pointed you out in small cot surrounded by many others. You were screaming, and I think you actually started all of the other babies off because you got louder." I smile at her, and she smiles back "You are the best thing that's ever happened to me, always remember that, Skye." I tell her.

"I will." Skye smiles at me.

"We won't turn our back." Ward cuts in on our moment. A new moment.

"Doesn't matter. I made my choice. I want this. Bad." Skye tells him, I show her a kind smile, and she returns it with one "And I know there's a truth serum." She adds.

"Whatever you say, rookie." Ward rolls his eyes, and I can't help but smile at how this could be it. Our new home.
