Repairs

(Ireland, Emerald Isle, The Lanculca Hotel)

Lyra's POV.

[Lyra's Outfit]

As I wake up due to a phone ringing, I slowly open my eyes as I feel an arm draped over my bare waist and a leg draped over both of my own legs from behind me as I lay on my right side. I then reach over to the landline with my left hand on the left bedside table and pick up the phone from the landline and place it to my left ear.

"Hello?" I ask whom I persume is the front of house as I begin to feel light kisses along my left shoulder.

"We have another mission; Batesville, Utah. You have ten minutes." I hear May's voice over the landline.

"Alright, I'll meet you at The B.U.S." I assure her before I hang the phone up.

Ward then places his left hand onto the front, right side of my waist before flipping me onto my back and leans down to kiss me, but as soon as his lips touch mine I pull away, making look down at me with a smile.

"We have a mission. Utah." I tell him before I push him lightly off of me with both of my hands against his chest to my left before I sitt up and place my legs over the edge of the right side of the bed "I'll meet you at the B.U.S." I say to him before I stand up and walk into the bathroom before right kicking the door closed behind me.

(Skip to Hutchins Residence, Batesville, Utah)

[Lyra's Outfit]

After Coulson, May, Ward, myself and Skye arrive in Batesville Utah at the Hutchins residence, May pulls up outside the house in the truck as she drives, Coulson is in the passenger seat and I sit in the back on Wards right and Skye in his left. We then all look out of the truck so does to see what looks like atleast half of the town outside the Residence shouting towards the house as about a dozen Police Officers try to keep them back, and there is a male Police Officer standing on the porch with a woman whom has blonde hair and blue eyes. The town's people are probably the same neighbours whom claimed she has Telekenetic powers and blame her for a Particle Accelerator explosion that happened at her previous work place that killed four towns people, and Simmons and Fitz are investigating the Accelerator Facility whilst we conduct an index asset evaluation and intake on Miss. Hutchins. Coulson, May, Ward and myself then step out of the truck, whilst Skye remind inside under Coulson's orders.

[Hannah Huntchins]

"We know what you did..! She blew up that gas station..! Why aren't you arresting her..?!" The crowd of towns people shout.

Coulson then takes out his S.H.I.E.L.D. badge from his left, inner blazer pocket with his right hand and shows the Police Officers it as he, May, Ward and myself pass the crowd and Police Officers, and Coulson places his S.H.I.E.L.D badge back into his pocket. Coulson, Ward and myself then walk up onto the porch where Hutchins and the Police Officer are whuslt May stands with the row of Police Officers whom keep the towns people at bay.

"Officer, is there anything you can do to get these people to disperse?" Coulson asks the Police Officer.

"Been trying, but it's a free country." The Police Officer admits.

"Miss Hutchins, I'm Agent Coulson. We specialize in strange occurrences like the ones you've encountered." Coulson explains to Hutchins as I look her over to see that she seems overwhelmingly scared as many signs of lack of sleep show on her face such as droopy eyes and under eye bags.

"You've come to lock me up?" Hutchins asks us.

"To talk." I show her a kind smile.

"Well, what good will that do?" Hutchins asks us just before an egg is thrown at her by the towns people, but the egg misses her and hits the front door of the house.

"Get out of here..! We don't want you here anymore..!" The towns people shout at her.

"Officers, get those people back!" Ward tells the Police Officers that May is standing beside.

We then all hear a sound of squeaking tyres, and we all turn our attention to the parked Police cars to see one Police car swerving towards the town's people, with no one driving. Telepathy?

"Move it! Move it! Go!" May shouts, and she, the town's people and the Police Officers scatter away from the Police cars' path, but one man stand frozen in shock, so Coulson sprints towards the man and leaps towards him, pushing the both out of the direction of the car, both of them tumbling to the ground as the Police car crashes into the garden fence.

"It's her! That freak just tried to kill us!" A woman shouts as Skye rushes out of the Truck and walks up the woman whom shouted.

"Hey! Calm down." Skye tells her, and the Police Officer beside us takes out his gun from his right holster with his right hand and aims it at Hutchins with both hands.

"Easy, officer. Put the gun down." Ward tells the Police as I step infront of Hutchin rest my left hand over my Night-night gun in my left holster.

"Leave me alone." Miss. Hutchins begins to back away from me.

"Miss. Hutchinson, stay beside me." I say to her.

"It wasn't me." Hutchins admits terrified.

"Please calm down. We're not gonna let anyone hurt you." I assure her before I hear electricity crackle, and I turn to look at Hutchins to see that she is laying on the porch unconscious and May is holding her Night-Night Pistol on the other side of the yard with both of her hands.

"Time to go." May looks to Coulson.

"So much for the welcome wagon." Coulson sighs lightly.

After escorting an unconcious Hutchins back to The B.U.S. and placing her in one of the interrogation rooms on a bed with other essentials before we arrive to The Fridge where people with abilities are placed to learn and control their powers so they can't harm themselves and others and right now Coulson, Ward and myself are standing in the brefing room as we watch Hutchins sleeping in the interrogation room on a mattress on the wall computer.

"Just a mattress, sir? It's a six-hour-long ride to the fridge." I say in thought of the uncomforbility of the journey.

"Fitz added magnetic shielding to the cage after Simmons had her scare. If miss Hutchins has this power, then that room should keep it from getting out, but in there, she'll be just as dangerous." Coulson explains to us before May walks into the briefing room.

"How is she?" May asks us.

"The dendrotoxin's wearing off. She'll be awake soon, scared, in a strange room. Our next interaction with her is crucial to gaining her trust, which is why I want you there." Coulson looks to May.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" May asks him unsure as not long ago she had just fired upon Hutchins.

"If miss Hutchins is gonna believe anything we say, she needs to know we're not hiding things from her, which means you explaining the situation." Coulson explains to May.

"What if that doesn't calm her down? What if that makes her more agitated?" Ward asks him.

"Then he definitely wants me in there." May states.

"Pretty much." Coulson agrees.

"We'll observe from out here." Ward speaks for both of us.

"And I'll lose the tie. If she is Telekinetic, I don't want to have a noose around my neck." Coulson comments aa he removes his tie with both hands, and he and May leave to go to the interrogation rooms.

"Last night..." Ward trails off, not adding any more to his sentence

"What about it?" I ask him as I continue to watch Hutchins slowly stir awake.

"It was... Nice." Ward states.

"It was." I agree.

"Would it happen again?" Ward asks me.

"Do you want it to?" I ask him.

"... Yes." Ward says to me before we see Coulson and May step into the interrogation room on the wall computer, Hutchins startingly sits up from her laying position on the mattress.

"Brought you some water." Coulson holds a bottle of water in his right hand that he must ha e collected from a mini-bar on the way to the interrogation. Coulson then stands the bottle of water on the other side of the mattress that Hutchins is sitting on before he takes one step back away from her "It's okay. I'm Phil. This is Melinda May." He explains to Hutchins calmly.

"How did I get here?" Hutchins asks them hoarsely.

"I sedated you." May states.

"I apologize for bringing you in that way." Coulson apologises "Things were escalating. It was for everyone's safety." He adds.

"Everyone's safety. Good. Okay. Oh, lord, what have I done?" Hutchins mutters upset.

"I promise you, miss Hutchins... Nobody was hurt back there." Coulson takes a two steps towards her.

"Wherever I go, things turn bad." Hutchins explains.

"Were you angry at those people, back at the house?" May asks her, probably wondering if her possible Telekinesis appears when her emotions heighten.

"Um, angry? No. I know most of them. They were angry. I understand. Oh, god. Frank's wife... The way she was looking at me." Hutchins explains upset.

"Frank Delacort. He died in the accident." Coulson states, thinking over the incident report from her workplace whom died during the Partical Excelorator explosion.

"Because of me, they're gone. I killed them." Hutchins says regrettably "For weeks, I was getting reports from section two complaining that the coupling assembly was coming loose at the bolts. Tobias is the... He was the technician down there. We replaced the part, and we triple-checked it for damage. Seems like I went down there every few days." She explains.

"Did you find a problem?" Coulson asks her.

"No. But clearly, I missed something." Hutchins states.

"My team is working to determine what really did happen and what might have happen to you." Coulson refers to Fitz and Simmons.

"To me? What do you mean?" Hutchins asks him uneasily.

"We believe that somehow, as a result of the accident, you acquired some form of Telekenetic ability." Coulson explains honestly.

"You think it's me? The police car, the gas sta... You think I did that?" Hutchins asks them incredulously.

"We're not sure, and this can be a hard thing to hear, but all these events have one thing in common." Coulson explains to her.

"Me, but I'm not causing it. It's not me. I wish it were because then maybe I could make it stop." Hutchins says honestly.

"But if it's not you, then what is it?" May questions her confused.

"You people won't believe me." Hutchins glances between them both.

"Try me." May crouches down in front of her.

"God's punishing me. He abandoned me. He doesn't protect me anymore. That's why this is happening." Hutchins explains.

"Protect you from what?" Coulson asks her confused.

"Demons, sir. I'm being haunted by demons." Hutchins states.

Once we picked Fitz and Simmons up, right now Coulson, May, Ward, myself, Fitz, Simmons and Skye are standing in the briefing room whilst Fitz and Simmons share what they had found back at Hutchins old work.

"Delusions of being persecuted aren't uncommon after trauma." Simmons refers Hutchins'.

"She's certainly been through her fair share." I state.

"She's blaming herself. It's guilt." Skye adds.

"It's all of it. She's broken. Pore over the accident site. If that tragedy gave her powers, we need to shut them down. If it wasn't her fault, even better, but until then, she's a danger to all of us." Coulson explains before he leaves.

As we continue to fly to The Fridge, I sleep in my bunk to gain some rest before we land, I wake up when I feel the plane shake roughly momentarily, and I with my hand resting on my gun under my pillow, I automatically aim it at the bunk door to see the only source of light is the emergency power. As I stand up, I lower my gun down and slide my bunk door open with my left hand before placing both hands back onto my gun.

"Guys?" I call out, but I receive no response as I feel The B.U.S begin to swerve slightly.

I then stumble outside of the briefing room and watch onto a near chair with my left hand, and I look outside of one of the windows to see that The B.U.S. is descending to the ground steeply. I then focus on the reflection of the window to see a shadow behind me, and I turn around to see a man quickly stalking towards me with a Hand Wrench in his right hand, so I am my gun at his left shoulder, it my clip is empty. I never leave it empty.

[Tobias Ford]

[Hand Wrench]

Instead, I throw my gun at his head, but just as it's about to hit him, the man's body materialised and disappears. I then swiftly make my way into the briefing room and pressing the right oapm of my hand to the right of the wall computer, automatically closing and securing the doors of the briefing room just before I am jolted backwards over the computer table and into the glass window as The B.U.S. crash lands to the ground.

After Coulson, May, Ward, myself, Fitz, Simmons and Skye regrouped in the lab after crash landing in the middle of some forestry, May had sent out a distress signal and cloaked The B.U.S.

"Our ear com's are usually relayed through the plane, so here's some hardware." Coulson and Simmons hands each of us our own walkie-talkies.

"Did the girl do this to us, sir?" Ward asks him cautiously.

"We believe miss Hutchins is the victim here. Our theories about her powers have been disproved." Coulson explains. The man on The B.U.S.

"By who?" Ward asks him confused.

"I saw a ghost. I-I know how it sounds, but a man attacked me, and then he disappeared." Simmons explains.

"I saw the man, too... But he dematerialized." I explain to them.

"May, run your systems checks. Is the cage still shielded?" Coulson refers to where Hutchins is inside the Iterrogation Room.

"Most of the power dedicated to it." May assures him.

"This man or whatever he is has been tormenting miss Hutchins. The cage might be the one thing protecting her now. We'll inform her." Coulson speaks before turning to leave, but Skye speaks up, stopping him.

"Sir, can it be me to talk to Hannah? Her life has been turned upside down, and we stuck her in a nightmare box. She thinks she's being punished. Can I please be the one to deliver the good news?" Skye asks Coulson sincerely.

"That a non-corporeal madman is hunting her?" I ask her.

"Again, I think it'd be better coming from anyone else, really. All right. I'll head upstairs, activate the emergency transceiver, and radio HQ. Ward and Lyra, take a firearm. Escort Fitz-Simmons downstairs, assess the damage, get us up and running." Coulson gives us our orders.

"Wait. Guys, um... Where's Fitz?" Simmons asks us, and I overlook everyone in the Lab... Where is Fitz?

After Simmons revealed she had last saw Fitz when he had headed to the control room to set first year pranks for Skye and myself, so as Ward and myself hold our guns with secured torches in our hands we escort Simmons to the control room and we turn down another hallway only to run into Fitz whilst he holds a kitchen knife in his right hand hand and a torch in his left hand, and due to the shock and surprise both Fitz and Simmons scream in terror.

"Thank god. Where have you been?!" Simmons demands an answer from Fitz.

"I have been locked in a closet freaking out, thanks to you three geniuses." Fitz explains angrily.

"That wasn't us." Simmons admits to him.

"Well, then, who was it?" Fitz says incredulously unimpressed as I takes my walkie-talkie with my left hand from my belt and place it near my mouth whilst activating it.

"We found Fitz." I inform everyone.

"Good, we'll need him. Looks like the main problem is in avionics bay two. But he took out all our systems." May explains.

"Who's she talking about?" Fitz asks us confused.

"Grab your equipment and get in there. I'm going to power down flight controls to conserve energy and then go defend the cage door in case this ghost comes knocking." May explains to us.

"Did she just say 'ghost'?" Fitz asks us nervously.

As Ward, myself, Fitz and Simmons make our way to the Avionics to turn the power back on, Fitz and Simmons discuss how the haunting man might not be a ghost at all, but rather someone stuck between our world and an alien dimension.

"He thinks it's hell, but I think it's an alien world. Fitz, it was stunning." Simmons explains to Fitz.

"Well, there were reports in London after the spaceship landed of multiple portals opening, Thor passing between worlds." Fitz explains.

"You think that's what they were researching at that lab?" Ward asks them.

"Trying to create another portal, yes." Simmons clarifies.

"Failing until a malfunction produced a burst of energy." Fitz adds.

"This 'ghost' is a man trapped between our universe and another. Perhaps that's how all ghosts are. It's a simple explanation, really." Simmons explains.

"Simple would be a relative term in this case." I state before we reach Avionics in bay two, and I right, high kick the door open to reveal the main power system to The B.U.S. and it seems to be seriously corrupted with frayed wires extending from it.

"Bloody hell." Fitz gawks slightly.

"He was thorough." Simmons comments before there is a distant clang behind us, and both Ward and myself ready our guns and turn around to look past Fitz and Simmons, only to see nothing.

"Oh, god!" Both Fitz and Simmons say in sudden shock.

"Plane's on uneven ground. Could just be settling." Ward tries to reassure us.

"Or the other thing." Fitz refers to the dematerialising man. Definitely the other thing.

"Get to work." I order both Fitz and Simmons, and they both look to me, lool at each other before looking back to me "Do you want to fight the Ghost?" I ask them, and they automatically walk past both Ward and myself and into the cupboard.

Ward then leads us both back the way we came with our guns at the ready, and we near the the sound of echo only to find the same empty hallway we had descended from.

"Clear!" Ward calls back through the hallways. We then hear Fitz and Simmons' screams echo throughout the hallways behind us, and I go to turn around and run back to Fitz and Simmons but I suddenly feel a hard collision against the back of my head before I pass out.

As I slowly feel myself regaining consciousness, I reach for my gun in my right holster with my right hand as my eyes shoot open, but my gun isn't there and I raise my empty hand to Simmons whom is crouching down to my left as I lay on the floor of a dark room. I then look around as I drop my hand down to my side to see that we are in the Avionics cupboard with Fits standing at my feet holding a walkie-talkie in his right hand, and Ward lays unconcious on my left .

"I hate Ghosts." I curse under my breath.

"The Ghost hit you over the head, you may need stitchesband I advise you that you don't make any sudden movements." Simmons advises me as I slwoly sit up, a numbing sensation stoning the back of my head.

"Talk to me. What's happening?" May asks over the walkie-talkie in Fitz' right hand.

"May, he's disappearing. He's passing between worlds. It seems a little less of him is returning every time he appears." Fitz explains to her.

"But why is he after you guys?" May asks us confused.

"Because he can't get to Hannah in there. She's safe. If we wait it out, maybe he'll disappear fully." Simmons suggests.

"What's wrong with Ward?" I ask them confused as I sit on me knees.

"The same diagnosis as yours, I persume." Simmons says to me.

"Come on, sleeping beauty." I sigh lightly before I right hook Ward across the left side of his face, making him gasp awake.

"What happened?" Ward's eyes dart around the cupboard confused.

"Well, we lost communication. And you were hit with a very large plumber's wrench before Lyra punched you in the face to wake you up." Simmons explains to him.

"A wrench?" Ward asks her confused.

"Precisely." Simmons sighs lightly.

"That guy's traveling back and forth between alien worlds with a wrench?" Ward states and then asks again incredulously.

"Must have been in his hand when the blast hit." Fitz suggests.

"Not the kind of wrench you would use to loosen a coupling, is it?" Ward points out.

"There..? Maybe it doesn't work after all." We hear Coulson's voice statically over the walkie-talkie.

"Uh, yes, yes, we're here, sir. Where'd you go?" Ward asks over the walkie-talkie in Fitz' hand as we both stand up.

"Nowhere. We were attacked, locked in, then the guy disappeared." Coulson explains.

"Hey, that's our story." Fitz says to us.

"Is May with you guys?" Skye asks us.

"She isn't with you?" Simmons asks her confused.

Once Fitz had explained to Coulson that using different technology in Coulson's office, where he and Skye are locked inside, and Coulson's walkie-talkie to ignite the lock on his office door which will can be activated from here in the Avionics cupboard.

"You're sure this is how to do it?" Coulson asks Fitz over the walkie talkie.

"Yes. I'll max the signal, and the transceiver will act as a trigger." Fitz reassures him as He has just attaching his walkie-talkie into the control panel to amplify the signal.

"Okay, fine." Coulson sighs a confirmation for Fitz to blow up Coulson's office.

After Coulson and Skye let Ward, myself, Fitz and Simmons out of Avionics cupboard, we are starting to believe that the reason why May and Hutchins are missing on The B.U.S. May is to lure the man away, and that the Ghost may have been a part of the Partical Accelerator explosion due to his odd connection the Hutchins.

"So, we believe that this man is responsible for the blast?" Fitz asks us as we make our way back to the bridge.

"Skye said she thinks he's the worker who filed all the reports." Coulson explains.

"Tobias Ford. It looks like him." Skye states.

"It makes no sense for a man to complain about safety issues whilst causing them. Another theory is-" Simmons tries to say, but Ward cuts her off.

"-Theories don't matter. Only facts, and the fact is, a bullet will take you out of whatever world you're in. Any idea which direction may could've taken her?" Ward asks us.

"We'll deploy the golden retrievers. They're in here." Simmons walks ahead of us before opening up a cupboard, only for a mop with a gas mask to fall out making Fitz, Simmons and Skye all scream in rhythmically.

"Fitz! This is no time for childish nonsense like this!" Simmons scowls towards Fitz.

"Pranking was your idea. And obviously, I rigged this little beauty before I knew there was a dimension-jumping psychopath in the mix." Fitz explains to her.

"Wait, childish. This guy is childish." I state in realisation.

"What are you getting at?" Coulson asks me confused.

"He wanted her to notice him. Why would he file a complaint to her office when there was nothing wrong and then cause an actual safety issue himself?" I ask them as Fitz takes out the Golden Retrievers in a briefcase from the cupboard.

[Golden Retrievers]

"To get her fired?" Simmons suggests as we head to the open loading bay.

"To get her attention, to spend time with her. Think about it, he scared the guy who was harassing her at the airport. He tried to hit you with a Police Car." I refer to Tobias trying to hit Coulson with a Police Car.

"When we took her into custody." Coulson realises.

"Yeah, he's not trying to hurt her." Skye says.

"He's trying to protect her." Ward adds.

"He likes her." I state with a light sigh.

[Run-Down Bar]

After the Golden Retrievers lead us to a Run-Down Barn, Coulson, Ward and myself have pur guns at the ready with Skye as we enter the Barn, only to see Tobias kneeling on the ground upset with his back to us as he faces May and Hutchins

"Let the girl go, Tobias." May says to him, and Tobias takes his right hand in Hutchins' left hand whilst light tears appear in her eyes "Let the girl go." She repeats sincerely.

We then all watch as Tobias closes his eyes and inhales a deep, sharp breath before he slowly dematerialises into nothing, leaving Hutchins to drop her now empty hand as tears begin to fall past her cheeks, and Skye rushes over to her and takes both of Hutchins upper arms in both of her hands.

"Are you okay?" Skye asks her sincerely.

"... Yes." Miss, Hutchins nods hesitantly before hugging Skye tightly.
