Eye-Spy

(The B.U.S.)

Lyra's POV.

[Lyra's Outfit]

After Fitz and Simmons created an automatic, a gun and a rifle, that can momentarily mobilise someone/ something without causing and physical harm, they have both called Ward and myself down to the lab to see what we think and if it is possibly worthy for field assignments.

"We only get one shot. And it has to knock a person back as well as out." Ward tells Fitz and Simmons as he holds up a bullet filled with a blue liquid, Dendrotoxin, that can momentarily mobilise someone/ something.

[Dendrotoxin Bullet]

"Which is why we're perfecting this little beauty." Fitz explains as he shows us a blue and silver metallic gun with his right hand, and he takes out to clip to reveal the Dendrotoxin filled bullets "45-caliber cartridges, semi-automatic. Each mag..." He trails off as he puts the clip back in "... Contains eight therapeutic rounds of dendrotoxin." He explains.

[Incapacitating Cartridge Emitting Rifles]

"In case you miss..!" Simmons speaks up, and myself and Ward turn to look at her. I don't know about Ward, but I've literally never missed a shot "... Or have multiple assailants." She changes her wording, and Ward goes to take the gun from Fitz, but he pulls it out of his reach.

"Yeah, w-we're gonna have this new night-night pistol working in no time. Okay?" Fitz says as he walks to the other side of the lab with it.

"Thankyou, Fitz, Simmons." I thank them both.

"No problem." Fitz smiles.

"Anytime." Simmons smiles.

"One thing... We're not calling it that." Ward tells him, and Fitz looks at Ward with betrayal.

"Ah, told you." Simmons tells Fitz before Ward and myself begin to walk out of the lab.

"Yes, we... Yes, we are." Fitz calls as we exit the lab and enter the landing bay, and Coulson walks down the staircase.

"Have you seen Skye?" Coulson asks us.

"Not since weapons training." Ward tells him as Coulson reaches the landing bay, and Ward begins to walk up the staircase.

"Has she stopped saying "bang" when she pulls the trigger?" Coulson asks us.

"Mostly." I shrug as Ward stands at the top of the staircase

"Now, if she can just learn the difference between the safety release and the magazine release, we'll be making real progress." Ward explains before he leaves.

"Check the truck, it's where she hides from Ward when she doesn't want to train." I tell to Coulson before I walk past him and and up the staircase.

(Skip to Sergel's Square Stockholm, Sweden)

After being given the assignment of figuring out whom stole diamonds from twenty-five guards on a train, in a power outage from one of the largest gem brokers in the world, I walk down a closed of Subway by the police with Coulson, May and Skye.

"Yesterday, 25 men, all military, were hired by one of the largest gem brokers in the world. They dressed the men in identical outfits, gave each one a randomly assigned briefcase, and sent them along 25 different routes here in Stockholm. No one knew which briefcase contained the diamonds, but they were still stolen." Coulson explains as we all step onto the train were there is a few blood splatters on the ground.

"Why the Kabuki theatre?" I refer to the large crime scene nd multiple detectives around the subway.

"They were afraid because somebody's targeting diamonds... An armoured car in Milan, a safe in Monte Carlo, and now this... Over $30 mil total. Each theft occurred despite heavy security." Coulson explains.

"They sound like inside jobs." May speaks her mind.

"A lot of people share that opinion." Coulson states.

"You don't." Skye looks to Coulson "CCTV cameras catch any of the action?" She asks Coulson.

"Fitz and Simmons is checking. The system went dark for an hour. They think it was hacked." Coulson tells us.

"It was the same thieves each time?" I ask him confused.

"Yes, but it was just one thief... A woman. And she did it all with her eyes closed." Coulson explains, and narrow my eyes in confusion as the power was out, so it was already dark.

"Eyewitnesses I.D. her?" I ask him.

"Black, athletic build, late 20s, early 30s." Coulson gives us the description.

"So, you asked how she could have cracked the system. I have a pitch, but it's way outside the box." Skye tells us.

"I live outside the box." Coulson says to her.

"There are people in the world with superpowers, right? What if this woman has ESP or something?" Skye asks Coulson and May.

"There are no credible studies that support precognition, telepathy, or extrasensory perception." May states.

"Okay, so science says 'no'. But this woman knew impossible things. And why did she close her eyes? That's either random or totally important. Was she listening... Or was she reading minds?" Skye asks us, and we all give incredulously looks "I'm gonna go play with my phone now." She takes a few steps back before sitting down on a seat on the far right of the train, and she takes out her cell phone with her right hand from her right jacket pocket.

"Why does H.Q. want us to investigate these heists?" May asks Coulson.

"They don't. I picked this op. Any luck?" Coulson asks Skye whom is typing on her cellphone.

"Yep, I'm getting full bars, which means if I was down here and 25 guys were in scary red masks, you know what I would do?" Skye asks us as she stands up "Instagram." She shows us her cellphone with her right hand and a picture of the screen guards in red masks, and Coulson takes the cellphone in his right hand to get a closer look.

Once we get back to the B.U.S., Coulson, May, myself and Skye are standing in Coulson's office as the wall computer goes through different social media posts that has any traces of the men in red masks.

"It's amazing. Every year, this part of our job gets easier. Between Facebook, Instagram, and Flickr, people are surveilling themselves." Coulson explains.

"With many filters to choose from. I could do this pretty well when I was hacking for the Rising Tide, but you guys tag and search in ways the rest of us never dreamed of." Skye explains.

"I can run facial-recognition software on the photos, cross-reference them with our criminal databases." May suggests.

"You don't have to." Coulson says as he taps on someone's face on an social media post on the wall computer, and it's an African-American woman with black hair and brown eyes "That's the thief. Her name's Akela Amador." He tells us.

[Akela Amador]

"Your certain?" I ask him.

"I should be. I trained her." Coulson states before he begins to leave his office, and we all follow him "Akela Amador was a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent. Seven years ago, she led a raid on one of Vanchat's gulags. Everyone believed that she and the two other agents on the mission were killed. I had my doubts. So I sent in a second team, just in case. They found a lot of carnage but couldn't confirm that any of it was Amador... Left the possibility open." He explains as we walk down the staircase and into the briefing room where Ward is and his research on the heists is on the wall computer and computer table.

"That's why you chose this op ... When you heard about the heists." May says to Coulson.

"There are only a few women in the world who could pull off something so impossible. Since you're on the bus, I thought it had to be her." Coulson says to May.

"Swedish customs confirmed that Amador left the country using an alias on a Swedish passport. She flew into Belarus, bought a train ticket to a town called Zloda." Ward explains as Akela's passport it shown on the wall computer with countries she has visited beside it, and Coulson must have sent Ward Amador's I.D. before we came down from Coulson office "I've also put together a list of individuals who could fence that many diamonds. There's been no contact or activity." He explains as the screen changes to a the country Belarus and multiple I.D.'s of other people show up.

"Maybe she's saving them for a rainy day, buying something special. Let's focus on finding Amador." Coulson tells us.

"I'll let H.Q. know she's alive so they can assist with the manhunt." May tells him.

"I'd like to hold off on that. Until we know more. Contact Belarus authorities. Find us a place to park the B.U.S." Coulson tells May before turning to me and Ward "Put together a list of inns, hotels, and pensions near Zloda. There can't be that many of them. We'll find her." He tells us, and I begin to search a few hotels, inns and pensions near Zloda on the computer table.

"I'm not so special after all. I'm not your first protégée." Skye says to Coulson before quickly continuing "Relax. I'm teasing. I know I'm not a protégée. Hell, I'm not even a real, live S.H.I.E.L.D. agent yet, neither is Lyra." She states, and I glance up at her when she mentions my name, but I soon return to looking up hotels, B&B's, etc.

"You two couldn't be more different. Amador was smart, talented, fearless." Coulson lists.

"Wow, she and Lyra are basically the same person." Skye says to him.

"I bet she's more like you than you think." I tell Skye.

"Let me finish? She didn't play well with others, found little value in teamwork. I thought I could instill those qualities in her, so I pushed her... Maybe too hard." Coulson admits.

"Don't blame yourself because this chick went to the dark side. Whatever path she went down, whatever weird stuff she got into, it's on her." Skye tells him before she leaves the breifng room.

[Van]

[Lyra's Outfit]

After May landed the B.U.S. just outside of Zloda, Ward is driving a black van from the B.U.S. with some of Fitz and Simmons' tech equipment in the back as Coulson sits in the passenger seat and Myself, Skye, Fitz and Simmons sit in the back, and Coulson, Ward and myself will be infiltrating the town to look for Amador as Skye, Fitz and Simmons connect to near random video feed to try at find Amador.

"How exciting. I've dreamed of visiting Zloda since I was a schoolgirl." Simmons says excitedly as Ward drives outside of the small town.

"Zloda, Belarus? A dream come true? Really?" Fitz asks her incredulously.

"It's the birthplace of Nobel physicist Zhores Alferov! I mean, technically, he's from Vitebsk, but that's less than an hour from here, and I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't know that." Simmons says disapointedly to Fitz.

"Well, no, of course I know who that is, father of heterostructure transistors, thank you very much. We're all well aware of that. I'm just a little bit preoccupied. Our first and only other time in the field wasn't exactly a picnic, was it?" Fitz asks uncomfortably.

"You guys are only here to search for Amador electronically. You won't even need to leave the van." Coulson says to Skye, Simmons and Fitz.

"Big bus to short bus." May asks over the radio in the van.

"Go for short bus." Ward tells her.

"Next time, may I decide what we call ourselves?" I ask Coulson.

"Definetly." Coulson says to me.

"H.Q. has requested a status update." May tells us.

"What'd you tell them?" Coulson asks her.

"That we're tracking a potential suspect... Nothing more." May informs us.

"I owe you one." Coulson tells her.

"More like three." May says to him as Ward pulls over to the side of the road, just outside of the town.

"If Amador's here, she'll have to contact her buyer. Scan for cell phone transmissions, encrypted e-mails, anomalous broadcast signatures. Call us if you find anything that indicates her presence." Coulson tells Skye, Fitz and Simmons as himself, myself and Ward check the clips in our guns before putting them in our holsters, and Coulson climbs out of the van using the passenger door, and shuts the door after himself as I begin to climb out through the back.

"Maintain radio silence unless you really need help." I tell them as I climb out the back of the van and Ward climbs out the drivers side of the van, and I shut the door after myself.

"Well, what exactly defines needing help?!" Fitz shouts, but Ward doesn't answer as he closes the door after himself.

After entering the small town, where there are few citizens and tourists, which would be easier to maintain a cover, we enter what looks like the courtyard of the town.

"I can only imagine how painful this must be for you, sir... Betrayed by someone you trained and believed in." Ward sincerely says to him.

"We don't have all the facts yet." Coulson tells him.

"True, but we have to assume the worst... That Amador sold out the other two agents on her mission. Wonder what she got in exchange." I explain.

"I don't know, but until we do, I'm not gonna assume anything." Coulson tells us before he walks over to a man with light brown hair and blue eyes whom is standing with a brown Labrador dog by a small monument "Ці ёсць гатэлі ці гасцініцы побач [Is there any Hotels or Inns near]?]" He asks the man in Belarusian, which I studied a little before we got off the B.U.S.

[Belarusian Man]

[Belarusian Labrador Dog]

"Проста міма кафэ. [Just past the Café]." The man tells us before Ward's cell phone rings, and he takes it ou5 of the right inner pocket of his blazer jacket before answering it with his left hand as we walk into the Inn the old man suggested answers it as we walk near the Inn.

"Did you locate Amador?.." Ward asks over the cellphone as we enter the Inn "You think Amador might be communicating on that signal?.. You broke protocol because you need a bathroom break?.. There's a container in the bottom of the blue chest... That's the one... Agent Coulson, Lyra and I are trying to find a dangerous criminal. If there's nothing else pressing..." He stays on the line for a few more moments before he hangs up, and Coulson walks up to the recption of the Inn where there is a woman behind it, the receptionist, sorting tulips in a vase.

"Любы англійская [Any English]?" I ask the receptionist.

"Yes. Good afternoon." The woman greets us with A thick Belarusian accent.

"I'm Agent Coulson. This is Agent Ward, and this is Lyra Johnson. We're looking for this young woman." Coulson says as he pulls out his cellphone with his right hand from his left inner jacket pocket, and a picture of Amador is shown on it.

"Oh, she's my angel." The woman smiles happily.

"Why do you say that?" Ward asks her confused.

"She has gift... Knows things. She told me to go to Doctor. He found a tumour. I'm having surgery next week. This girl saved me." The woman explains. How would Amador know?

"It's very important that we talk with her." Coulson says to her.

"With her gift, I'm sure she knows you're coming." The woman smiles at us.

After another call from Skye, she informed us that Amador had used a van to ram into their van before making an escape. And right now we have just arrived back at the B.U.S. and Skye has managed to pull up the same feed from a random survalance that her, Simmons and Fitz were watching in the van as Coulson, May, Ward, myself, Fitz and Simmons are conversing as Skye watches the feed on the computer table.

"Sir, Amador attacked you and your people. Whatever regard you hold for her isn't reciprocated. She just kicked us in the teeth." Ward explains to him, and by his words he seems to believe that Coulson should contact S.H.I.E.L.D. immediately and inform them on what we know.

"Something's wrong. It should be the same feed that was watching us in the van." Skye says before she brings it up on the wall computer, and it's a clear live footage of what I think is a steamed lens.

"M-maybe the lens broke when the van rammed us." Simmons suggests.

"I hope she broke more than that." Skye lightly mumbles before the fogged scream is wiped away to reveal Amador in a towel and standing in front of a fogged bathroom mirror, but there isn't a visible camera.

"It's a mirror. Are we recording this?" Coulson asks Skye.

"Uh... We are now." Skye tells him as she types something short into the computer table.

"How are we seeing this? Where's the camera?" I ask them confused as Amador picks up a sowing needle with her right hand. Could the camera be in the mirror? Amador then takes the needle and points it into her left eye pupil, and Skye, Fitz and Simmons all try to hold a gag.

"It's her eye. She's the camera." May states as Amador takes the needle out of her left eye, she blinks and then a different filter of the live feed is projected, and the filter is almost blueprint-like.

"It switches to backscatter when she closes her eyes." Fitz explains to us.

"You're a robot. Can you do that?" Skye asks Ward, but he ignores her sarcasm.

"Who has tech like this?" Ward asks Fitz and Simmons.

"We don't... Not like this. That's not small and internal. That's at least a decade ahead of anything I've seen. Though, now that I've seen it, I could maybe approximate it... The backscatter x-ray, a micro-transceiver that somehow doesn't fry her brain, an internal power source..." Fitz trails off.

"All miniaturized. Honestly, it's..." Simmons trails off in surprise

"... That's genius." Both Simmons and Fitz say in unision.

"We have to bring her in." Coulson tells us.

"We have to take her out. She's a weapon. I'll call H.Q., see if we can bring a task force in to help us." May explains to him.

"Our team can handle this. I get it. You feel responsible... Maybe you pushed her too hard. But she tried to kill three members of our team." May tells him.

"If she wanted us dead, we'd be dead." Coulson states.

"We got lucky. You want to risk our lives again?" May asks him.

"You told me you were ready for combat, that you had my back." Coulson says to her.

"Don't ever doubt it. But you are defending this girl at the expense of the team." May tries to reason with him.

"Because we protect our own." Coulson tells her.

"With all due respect, sir, she's not one of our own." Ward buts in as Amador picks up a pen in her right hand a notepad in her left, and she begins to write something.

"Guys." I say to them, and we all look at the screen as Amador begins to write something on a piece of paper.

'Can I sleep?'

"Why does she have to ask for permission?" Simmons asks confused before 'Stand by_' pops up on the live footage.

"She's not being watched. She's being controlled. We have to find her. We'll take shifts watching the feed. Sooner or later, she'll look at something that will clue us into her location." Coulson orders us.

"I'll take the first watch." May tells him.

As May takes the first watch on Amador's live feed, I nap in my bunk as I wait for my shift, and someone suddenly knocks on my bunk door, waking me up I sudden and I move my right hand out from under my pillow, holding my gun, and I aim it at the bunk door. I then realise my sudden actions, and I lower my gun with a light sigh.

"Lyra?" Skye's voice comes through the bunk door.

"Yes?" I ask them as I sit up and place my legs over the edge of my bed.

"We found Amador, but May's already made contact." Skye informs me.

[Lyra's Outfit]

After retrieving both May and Amador, Amador being unconscious due to her being ordered to kill May and she revealed to May that the person behind the camera threatened to kill her with a kill switch in her eye and that the person behind the camera has only the live footage and no audio, Fitz and Simmons managed to momentarily disable the camera in her left eye to make it apear she was sleeping. Fitz and Simmons then began setting up for surgery to remove the camera whilst Coulson and May try to find the person behind the camera.

And right now I sit with Skye and Ward in a vehicle the person behind the camera required Amador to take to a Building that we are now pulling up outside of as Ward drives wearing glasses connected to the live footage that is being sent to the person behind the camera and a wire connects the glasses to Skyes laptop as she works on the glasses becoming wireless, and Skye and myself are in the back seats of the car, myself behind Ward and Skyes laptop, showing the live footage, inbetween us as we begin to prepare Ward for him to enter The Building.

"Where are we?" Skye asks confused as Ward parks the car.

"Todorov building." I state what I see on a small sign outside of the building.

"I think it's research, not military." Ward states.

"Looks like a prison." Skye says due to the wired fence surrounding the building.

"We wireless yet?" I ask her as I refer to the glasses, and Skye finished typing on her laptop.

"Yep. Ready to detach." Skye confirms.

I then reach up to Ward with my right hand to the right frame of the glasses near his neck, and I barely touch his skin when he suddenly squirms as if he is ticklish, and he is about to turn and to look at myself and Skye but I grab his head with both hands and keep his head straight, so the glasses face the building.

"Don't look at me. They need to think you're her." I remind him, and I slowly release his head. I then reach up to the right frame of the glasses with my right hand, and he squirms a little like before, and after I remove it and hand it to Skye, he continues to face the building.

"Oh, my god, super spy is ticklish." Skye laughs as the left corner of my mouth twitches into a smile. I then glance down at Skyes laptop to see the live, wireless footage, and message begins to be typed.

'Location confirmed. Proceed to Delta 5_'

"It would suck to live like this, wondering if someone's watching." Skye admits.

"Testing backscatter." Ward says before he presses the right side of the lens on the glasses, and there's a light beep before the backscatter connects the a small machine next to Skye's laptop.

"Good to go." Skye tells him, and she hands him the small machine with her right hand, and he receives it with his right hand before placing it in his left inner packet in his blazer jacket. Ward then turns to look out the passenger car window.

"Remember, I can't look at you, much less help you. If I need Lyra to come in for back up, you've got no one out here to help you, Skye." Ward warns Skye.

"Got it. Don't count on either of you for help." Skye nods.

"They should be starting surgery any minute now." I say to them before Ward exits the car using the drivers side door, and Skye and myself both watch him enter the Building before watching the live footage on Skyes laptop.

We then watch as Ward enters the building and then nears a card scanner to access further into the building, and he has the card on him to scan from Amador's personal items we gathered.

"Hey! Remember, you have man hands, so don't look when you scan the card." Skye reminds Ward over the com in her laptop.

"I know." Ward mutters under his breath before he scans the card with his right hand then, walks down a hallway with other people "Approaching Delta 3." Ward informs us, and he scans his card with his right hand to pass another scanner.

Ward then walks up some stairs and enters an almost clear hallway and he passes a few rooms and security guards that don't seem suspicious at all.

"Careful! Mirror." Skye tells him as there is a small mirror on a wall near a security guard.

"Don't need your help." Ward tells us as he turns his head and avoids looking at the mirror.

"Just let him concentrate." I tell Skye.

Warm then walks through a pain of double doors before stopping by a door and a small window, and he looks through it to see a guard at a computer desk beside another door, and a new message begins to be typed.

'Target' confirmed. Stand by_'

"What do they mean, 'target'?" Skye asks warily.

"It's never good, especially for the target. Let's hope it's a knockout and not a kill." I explain to her.

"You should get out of there." Skye tells him.

"I've come this far. I'll finish, whatever it takes." Ward tells us before a new message begins to be typed.

'Seduce him.'

"... Help." Ward barely makes out.

"I'm sorry. Did you say, 'help'? Because a minute ago, you said you didn't want or need my help." Skye says to him smug.

"That was before they asked me to go all Mata Hari on this guy. I'm just gonna knock him out." Ward tells us as he goes to walk in, but I speak before he does so.

"Ward, wait. We may need them to get through the next door." I stop him "Remember, it said seduce, not kill." I remind him.

"I don't think I'm his type." Ward tells us.

"Let me see." Skye says before she zooms in on the guard on her laptop "Cheap haircut. 5:00 shadow. Nope. Odds are you guys play for the same team." She tells him.

"Ignore her, she turned her first two boyfriends. You're gonna have to bromance him. Talk sports, Vodka, the Victorianov secret catalog." I explain to him.

"Be friendly, Agent Ward. Can you be friendly?" Skye asks him smug "... Please don't die." She says to him.

We then hear Ward inhale a nervous breath before he opens the door, steps inside and closes the door after himself as the guard stands up and steps out from behind the desk.

"Почему ты здесь [Why are you here]?" The guard asks Ward in Russian. Not the best language to fluently.

"Здравствуй. Как дела [Hi. How are you]?" Ward asks him.

"Покажите мне идентификацию [Show me Identification]." The guard tells him.

"Как насчет этой игры прошлой ночью [How about that game last night]?" Ward asks him the guard as Ward pats down his jacket and trouser pockets to find the I.D. he doesn't have.

"Ваш идентификатор [Your I.D.]?" The guard demands, obviously not caring for conversation.

"Кажется, я оставил его дома [I think I left it at home]." Ward makes up an excuse "Вчера вечером была дикая ночь. Встретились две украинские девушки [Had a wild night. Met these two Ukrainian girls] ..." He trails off as he chuckles "Не много спал [Didn't sleep much]." He admits.

"Ukrainian?" I ask him confused. Pretty specific.

"What? What did he say?" Skye asks me confused.

"Nothing." I assure her.

"Вы знаете, как это, не так ли? Ху? Ху [You know how it is, right? Hu? Hu] ?" Ward asks, but the Guard doesn't say anything "Guess not." He sighs in English.

Ward then grab the guard by the back of his neck with his right hand before he slams his head into the desk, knocking the guard unconscious and Ward let's the guard fall to the floor. Ward the unclips a key card from the guard's trouser belt with his right hand before he walks over to the door, and he swipes the key card through the door handle, and the door unlocks. Ward then opens the door and walks inside to see two men at a desk of their own writing on notepads as they glance behind Ward.

"What now? Are you supposed to grab one of these guys?" Skye asks Ward confused.

Ward then slowly turns around to see what the men are looking at, and it's a chalk board filled with connecting circles, lines and many other different shapes. A pattern of sorts.

'Mission complete. Good luck.'

Ward then hesitantly turns back to the door, walks out and closes the door behind himself, only to then glance at the unconscious guard and then the computer on the desk to see the computer is counting down from ten on the computer screen.

"Figured out what I needed the guard for... His password." Ward tells us, as an alarm is most probably going to go off if it isn't entered.

"Maybe I can talk you through a hack. Just give me a minute." Skye tells him, but an alarm suddenly goes off as ten seconds has past.

"No more minutes." I tell her.

"Meet me on the south side of the building, A.S.A.P." Ward tells us, and I climb into the drivers seat.

"On our way." I tell him.

I then turn the key in the ignition before I start the car up and begin to reverse out of the car park around the south side of the building.

"Coming your way." Ward tells us, and I put the car in park, but keep the engine running.

Ward then suddenly shows up at the passenger side door before he opens the door, climbs in and I drive off just before he closes the door after himself.
