"Hawks, seriously? You're only telling me this now? They could be going in for an attack right now!" Endeavor nearly yelled at me after i told him what happened on the days i was supposed to be relaxing.I left out the sex and making out parts obviously but Endeavor seemed furious anyway. I had waited a while with telling him, just because i didn't want to talk to him, so 2 days after i came back from that supply run i had finally told him.

He now immediately started making calls but i didn't pay much attention, i was wondering how Dabi was doing, I hadn't seen him since the day we talked about his scars and he was probably, like he said, on that secret mission.

"Hawks, just go on your patrol." Endeavor said waved me off, most likely irritated that i was still there. "Yes mum." i answered mocking him which i earned me a death glare. I did ended up leaving and continuing my patrol, not because Endeavor said so but because i wanted too.

I woke up that night because of my phone ringing loudly on the nightstand. I looked at the digital clock on my night stand which read 3 in the morning and i groaned. Who would be callinf me this late? I reached over for my phone on the nightstand unplugging it from its charger and I looked at the screen. It was an unknown number therefore i almost clicked decline but a feeling of dread in my guts told me to pick it up. So i did, carefully lifting my phone to my ear,

"Hello?" I said, there was no immediate response instead a ragged breathing came from the other side, a breath a pain, i realised. I didn't know how i knew but i asked, "Dabi are you okay?" I sat up quickly sat up searching for my jeans on the floor. Whatever was up with him, it didn't sound like he was doing very good.

"The old flat near the police station," he responded out of breath nearly stumbling over the words. I asked again, "Are you okay?"

"Do you know where that is?" He asked, he paused to breath after every word and he was completely ignoring my question. "Yes, i know where that is but you're ignoring my question!"

"Just come there." he breathed raspily and then he hung up. I stuffed my phone into my jeans pocket and ripped the first shirt i could reach from my closet, putting that one on. I struggled with putting on my boots and jacket at the same time but i somehow managed to get both of them on before i reached the balcony. My keys and wallet were an after thought but somehow both of them were in the pockets of my jeans.  I jumped off the balcony and soared through the sky as fast as i could- which was damn fast- I didn't even slow until i arrived near the police station, I noticed the tall building that was already decaying. I carefully landed on the old buildings roof and got inside by a hole in the roof.

The doors and windows of the entire building were missing, graffiti painting were scattered on the walls and even empty bottles and cigeratte lighters were lying scattered on the ground. The walls were covered with what seemed like burn marks. I frowned, but the state of the building was currently not one of my biggest concerns.

"Dabi!" I rushed down the first flight of stairs i saw. I heard coughing before i heard a response "Here." a voice said and i took the last step down and first turn left into what used to be an apartment.

That was where Dabi was. He was propped up against the wall, his hands were pushing against a wound at his abdomen, "Fuck, shit!" i exclaimed as i realised what was going on. I threw off my jacket and rushed my way to his side, dropping to my knees next to him.
I pushed his bloody hands aside and took a look at the damage. His shirt was ripped open and underneat a big wound was revealed, the blood seeping from it, a knife with blood was next to Dabi. "You've been stabbed." Besides that it looked like Dabi had been in a tough fight, he was covered in dirt and the beginning of bruises were forming on his face and probably his entire body.

"No shit Sherlock." Dabi gritted through as i pushed my jacket against the wound applying pressure, he let his head fall back against the wall. "Fuck." he groaned.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Surprise attack, they took Kurogiri." Dabi said breathing heavier than before.

"They-" i almost wanted to ask who was they but i knew who, and it was probably my fault, "Heroes. They did this to you?" I asked.

He nodded, his face started to slowly turn pale, paler than usual, "Kurogiri warped me away right before they could take me, apparently he didn't really aim for a place so i ended up here." he groaned in pain again. I couldn't help but think why here, this building had been abandoned for years but then i realised that the burn marks on the wall were probably from Dabi, from where he had been when his quirk first went out of control. I took a deep shaking breath

"Alright, can you push this against your stomach yourself? So i can fly us to the League."
He groaned again as an answer and i realized he was probably too weak to speak.

"Here we go." I scooped him up, one of his arms w asholding on to my shirt, while the other pressed the almost soaked jacket to the wound, his eyes were closed but i knew he was awake by the way he was clenching his fist into my shirt. I was fast, i made sure i was, i couldn't let him die just because i wasn't fast enough.

We arrived at the hide out and i barely managed to get inside. "Someone get help!" i exclaimed when i pushed the door open with my foot, one of my feathers was pulling the doorknob. Toga jumped up from the couch in surprise, knife ready in her hand. Luckily for me, she wasn't the only one there. Mr Compress, a guy who recently joined the League, also jumped up.
I fell to my knees with Dabi in my arms, though i made sure to lower him down to the ground softly. "Get someone!" i yelled at them and finally Shigaraki walked in. He looked at the situation and then disappeared again. I hoped he actually was getting some help and not just 'noping' out of the situation.
I pushed Dabi's hands away from the wound again and i applied pressure for him instead, one of his hand grabbed at the back of my head.

"Hold on for just a little longer." I whispered at him, i guided one of my feathers to search for a first aid kit, i didn't even know if they had any but i still kept searching.
"Don't worry, I'm tougher than i look." Dabi said with half a smirk, "If you weren't almost bleeding to death i would hit you." i responded giving him, despite the awful situation, a smile. Then Dabi cried out in pain again changing the smirk on his to a pained frown. I  looked away from him, hoping either Mr Compress or Toga would move but neither of them did. And then, thank god, Shigaraki came back with Twice quickly on his heels and two other people i didn't recognise. They pushed me aside, making the hand Dabi had rested on my neck slip away and they moved Dabi to his bedroom.

I sat on the floor taking a few deep breaths and realised i was  covered in blood. The iron smell of it stung in my nose burned. I tried to stand up but the room spun around me which caused me to almost fall to the ground again, "Easy fella." Compress grabbed my shoulder and kept me upright. Once i found my footing again I pushed him off of me and made my way to the sink at the bar. Compress didn't even bat an eye at such a rudeness, he just followed me to the bar and sat down on one of the stools. I turned on the tap and I washed the blood of my shaking hands. I had never been affected by someone's injury this badly since i had first doing the hero job. And it wasn't even that i was disgusted by the blood, no. I just couldn't bare the fact that this had been all my fault and that i couldn't let Dabi die because of that. Once my hands were clean i splashed water in my face. I placed both my hands on either side of the sink and leaned on them not looking at any of the other League members, though i knew they were looking at me.

Shigaraki appeared in the doorway again, "What happened?"

"He told me to come and get him at this old abandoned building where i found him like that. He said something about an attack and Kurogiri being taken." I didn't dare to look at Shigaraki, so instead a ran a still shaking hand through my hair.

"Fuck!" Shigaraki swore loudly and he kicked a nearby barstool.
"You! It's all your fault! You told them!" Shigaraki yelled at me and suddenly he was face to face with me, pinning me between the bar and his body, a finger in my face. I shoved him off,

"How could i? I didn't even know where they went!" I yelled back loudly but i knew Shigaraki was right. It was probably my fault. I had told Endeavor these things, that he was going on a stupid mission and that had probably been the last thing to make Endeavor sure of where Dabi and Kurogiri were. But if Shigaraki wanted a fight he could have one.

"Of course he did. I know what you've been up too. He trusts you!" Shigaraki was back in my space again but instead of pinning me against the bar or even jabbing a finger in my face. He fucking punched me so hard that i felt blood trickle down my nose. I didn't even cry out though, only pushed him away again and then wipe the blood away.

"Oh yeah, of course! Because we've fucked once he tells me his entire life story!" i answered sarcastically.

"Tomura." Toga pulled at Shigaraki's sleeve, I hadn't even realised she had inched closer to us. "He's not lying. It has been something else, look." Toga pushed her phone in Shigaraki's face. He read what was on the screen and scoffed then turned around a disappeared again.

"What was it?" I wiped away another trickle of blood.

"Someone spot them the day before yesterday and they called the police, the police gathered some heroes to ambush them, Endeavor too. Apparently it took them some time to make sure they got enough people to ambush them," At least that's what the article said, I knew that as only partially true, that's why Endeavor had been so angry this morning.

"They indeed got Kurogiri." Toga said, she looked like she was about to cry. "Fuck." i cursed again.

"We should lay low for a little." i then said. "You're right, we need Dabi at full strength again. Maybe it's better if you stay here for now, Hawks." Compress, said wisely, I nodded, i didn't want to see Endeavor now anyway which was ineffable if I went home.

We practically stayed up for the remaining of the night playing videogames, well Toga and Twice played videogames. When it had just passed 6 in the morning the people from earlier came back to the room.

"He's fine, we healed him as much as we could with our quirks, now he just needs rest." the guy with pink long hair and piercings said. "Alright we'll be off now." The small girl with pink hair just a shade darker than the guy's said. They left.

"Should we check up on him?" Twice asked doubtfully.
"Let him sleep," Compress said, "And about sleep, imma head to bed too." he stood up and left the room mumbling a good night. "Wanna play a game  for a little longer, Jin?" Toga asked, Twice nodded and i settled to watch them play again.

They played for a little longer and i was nearly dozing off to sleep when I heard slow footsteps coming towards us. I raised my head and an frowned at Twice who also gave me a weird look. Dabi appeared through the door behind the bar. He was wearing no shirt but that wasn't needed, his abdomen was covered up in bandage. The pink haired guy said he had been healing him but apparently not the bruises on chest and face. Almost every piece of pale skin that was visible between the burn scars were now covered in a multi coloured bruised mess. That had been indeed a hell of fight, he must have fought with 3 or 4 heroes at the same time, and he hadn't really lost, not really. I was actually impressed but that didn't last as i noticed he was slightly limping.

"For fuck's sake, you should be resting." I exclaimed as i sat up completely. He stuck up his middle finger, he was clutching his side with his other hand. "Dab--" Toga started to say but she was cut off, "I'm just getting me some drinks, I'll be back in bed in a second, don't worry." Dabi snapped at them rritated, and he opened the door of the fridge.

He grabbed a bottle and slammed the door of the fridge shut with a little too much force. He looked at me, his fierce and bright eyes lingering a bit too long on my face before he headed back. I then stood up too, "Imma head to bed too." I said and i hoped they wouldn't comment on the fact that i don't have a bed to sleep in, maybe the figured already that I'd be sleeping in Dabi's bed, because of the comment Handy Man had made. I caught up to Dabi on the way to his and Twice's room. He was still limping and I couldn't help but reach for him to help him but he smacked it away, stubborn much.

"Are you okay?" i asked him once I closed the bedroom door behind us.
He shrugged but winced as he sat down on the bed and uncapped the bottle.
Dabi looked miserable, more miserable than usual.

"You sure you're okay?" i asked as i sat down on the bed next to him. He put the bottle down on the nightstand with such a force that i was convinced it was gonna break. It didn't but some of the liquid splashed on the nightstand. He grabbed my wrists painfully hard and pinned my down on his bed, pushing me into the mattress. His hands hot around both my wrist.

"I'm not okay." He gritted through his teeth angrily looking down at me, "I fucked up, and we lost a man. When heroes fuck up, it's all like 'awh he atleast tried next time he knows what to do' villains don't have that privilege, if we lose we don't get to try next time." he said and i thought for a second i saw blue sparks come from him. I wanted to hold him in my arms, craddle him into my chest and tell him it was okay. But i couldn't do that, it would make him feel weak and that was the last thing i wanted too. That and he still held my wrists pinned against the bed.

"Now Kurogiri got arrested and it's all my fault. I wasn't paying attention and they took us by surprise and i couldn't do much, fucking water heroes, and even with Endeavor there Kurogiri managed to save me."

It wasn't even his fault and i couldn't imagine how angry he'd be if he knew it was partially my fault and that made me feel worse about this. I deserved him getting angry at me and burning my wrist. That's when blood started to drip from right beneath the staple under his left eye.
"Everyone should hate me now, if they didn't already." He said. I knew he meant the other League members, but they didn't seem angry. Not even the slightest, more worried about him.  I didn't say that though.
"I still don't hate you." I responded instead calmly. How i managed to stay calm was a miracle.

"You got good reasons, i left y--" Dabi started but he didn't finish. I looked at him confused, his face showed pain. I didn't know if the wound hurt that much or because of the mental pain.
"You only left me for like 2 days, it's fine, it's not like we have an actual thing going on." I responded and he shook his head with a cruel smile of pain on his face.

"That's not what i meant." He started to let me go and got off me, i rubbed my wrist as i sat back up, hoping he wouldn't notice. I didn't say anything, just kept looking at him as he sat the on the edge of the bed hunched over his knees. His hair fell into his face.

"I left you before, for a longer time" he whispered nearly inaudible. I froze and my eyes widened, I opened my mouth to say something then i closed it not knowing what to say.

"You mean-- no." I stammered while i shook my head. That couldn't be true right, he was just making a sick and cruel joke. He couldn't be...
"You're--" I started but i couldn't finish it.
"Toya Todoroki." He said for me.
