RAISED BY THE SEA:

AKI: "Im back, hey, Chika!"

CHIKA: "Hi! Welcome back!"

AKI: "Huh? That outfit of yours... Are you considering going out in that?"

CHIKA: "Sorry! I actually got a sudden request to help out around the ryokan inn. I know we had plans to go out together, so I'm really sorry!"

AKI: "I see. Hmm, that's a shame to hear. The girls are out exploring Numazu with μ's today, so that doesn't leave me with many options... But I know how important your ryonan inn job is, so don't worry about it."

CHIKA: "Oh, but I was told that I could leave before noon, so I'm free to go out after then if you want!"

AKI: "Really? Noon, huh? Not long left, then. And you've got a meeting with the rest of Aqours this evening. Do you mind if I wait?"

CHIKA: "Not at all! Do you know where the hearth is? Wait for me over there. I'll finish up with work and head over there in a flash!"

AKI: "You don't have to rush. Make sure you do your work properly, okay?"

...

I guess it wouldn't hurt to see how Chika usually acts around the inn. She was born and raised here, so I wonder if I'll see a different side to her here. Plus, I guess she looks cute in that outfit.

CHIKA: "Welcome to our establishment. Allow me to take your bags. I'll show you to your room, this way please."

...

CHIKA: "Please fill in your name, address and phone number here."

AKI: "Wow..."

MR. TAKAMI: "And just what do you think you're staring at?"

AKI: "?! Th-This travel magazine, sir. I love reading all about Uchiura!"

MR. TAKAMI: "That's what I thought. I'm always watching you.
Nobody will take my sweet little Chika from me!"

I feel a murderous intent. I really shouldn't try any funny business around Mr. Takami.

He's the one who Chika gets her energetic personality from, but he sure is the protective father type.

It sends chills down my spine, I feel like he's watching me right now.

...

CHIKA: "Th-Thanks for waiting!"

AKI: "You really worked hard today, Chika."

CHIKA: "Aww. I said I'd be done before noon, but it's past noon now! That doesn't leave us with a lot of time, I'm sorry!"

AKI: "Don't beat yourself up over it. I was reading the travel guide that was set out, so I wasn't really bored or anything.
And I had a blast watching you in ryokan-inn-staff mode. You really looked the part. Guess that's what you'd expect when you grow up in a place like this."

CHIKA: "R-Really? *Giggle* Glad to hear that. Both Mito and Shima expect me to help out, so I don't really get a lot of praise.
Having you praise me makes it worth the effort I put into helping out!"

AKI: "I'm glad. All right then, shall we head out?"

CHIKA: "Yeah! I haven't had a chance to eat lunch yet since I've been helping out this whole time. Let's go out somewhere to eat first."

AKI: "Sure, but if you're meeting up with the rest of Aqours later, then you might want to wear your uniform."

CHIKA: "R-Right, I almost forgot. Heh...heh..."

...

CHIKA: "Mm, what great weather out today!"

AKI: "It really is. A blue sky really fits with the Uchiura sea, doesn't it? It's so beautiful."

CHIKA: "I love it here when it's cloudy, too!"

AKI: "Really? Doesn't that just cloud up how blue the sea is, though?"

CHIKA: "Well, it does look darker when there are clouds out, but I think the color has a lot of depth to it!"

AKI: "A color with a lot of depth to it? I'd expect that kind of talk from Kanan, but I never thought I'd hear you talk like a veteran sea-watcher, Chika."

CHIKA: "H-Hey, come on!"

AKI: "Ahaha, sorry, sorry."

CHIKA: "Hmph! If you're going to say stuff like that, then we're through!"

Wait...HUH?!

What did she even mean by that?!

She's running away on the sand. Wait...Wait a minute. Something Karin said earlier...

KARIN: "Not to mention doing it all on the sand. Their core strength must be incredible if they can keep from sliding all over the place."

AKI: "Chika! Don't run like that, you'll trip!"

CHIKA: "I'm fine, I- AHHH!"

AKI: "See, what'd I tell you?"

CHIKA: "BLECH! I got sand in my mouth."

AKI: "You okay?"

CHIKA: "Yeah, I'm fine. Man... I can't believe I tripped on my home turf."

AKI: "It happens, really... I've lost count of the amount of times I've fallen in Tokyo."

CHIKA: "Is it all gone?"

AKI: *Laugh* "Chika, you've still got sand on your face."

CHIKA: "Huh, really? Ahh, it's all over my clothes, too!"

AKI: "We're not far away from the inn. Let's just walk back for now."

CHIKA: "Blech, how much sand did I eat?!"

AKI: "I know that feeling. I love the ocean, but I don't like sand. It's coarse, rough, irritating and it gets everywhere."

CHIKA: "Enough sand talk, Aki. Sand can be terrible at times but it's so fun to play by the sea."

AKI: "Really? Tell me more."

...

AKI: "So you've played by the sea since you were little, huh?"

CHIKA: "Well, yeah! It's like having a big garden in front of your house. I'd call You and Kanan over, and we'd get covered in sand all the time."

AKI: "That sounds pretty fun. I bet you made sand castles and had sand fights and stuff a lot."

CHIKA: "You live close to the sea, too, right? You don't have a beach?"

AKI: "Odaiba's close to the sea, but it's more like I was surrounded by it. I don't have it right in front of my house like you do. Oh, but there's a seaside park nearby, though as well as smaller beaches."

CHIKA: "Wow! I really want to see what the sea's like in Tokyo! I've been to Tokyo with Aqours a few times, but I haven't really had the time to relax by the seaside."

AKI: "I don't think it's much to write home about.. With all the industrial stuff that happens near the city you'd probably have to dive real deep to see its true beauty. If there is any... All that's mildly interesting is some rumor about some cryptid living in it."

CHIKA: "Cryptid?"

AKI: "Some unidentified creature. It's all just a farce anyway.
Anyway, haven't you been right next to the sea all your life? You still want to see other beaches?"

CHIKA: "Well, they may be the same, but they might look different, right? It's the same for you, right?"

AKI: "For me?"

CHIKA: "Like, you're used to seeing the sea, but you said that the water in Uchiura is really beautiful. I want to see other places too, just like that."

AKI: "The same, but they look different. Huh. You're a pretty interesting girl, Chika."

CHIKA: "Me? But I'm just normal..."

AKI: "And there's nothing wrong about that. Tell you what, I'll take you to the beach in Tokyo some time. What do you think?"

CHIKA: "Really? Sweet, it's a promise!"

AKI: "Now come on, we're almost back at the inn."

...

We opened the door to see...uh oh.

MR. TAKAMI: "Why is my daughter covered in sand, and yet you're not?"

AKI: "Uh... I-It's not what it looks like."

MR. TAKAMI: "What have you been doing with my little girl?!"

AKI: *SCREAM*
