MARKETING STRATEGY:

KANAN: "Where did you even come from?!"

MARI: "From the entrance of course. I tried saying hi, but you guys didn't notice me. You don't seem very busy today, Kanan."

KANAN: "Picking a fight as soon as you get here, huh?"

AKI: "Kanan, calm down. But why are you here, Mari?"

MARI: "Do I need a reason to want to see you?"

KANAN: "Quit saying lines out of a drama!"

AKI: "H-Hey, now, Kanan!"

MARI: "Oh, Kanan. My heart was aching for you after I saw a TV special on oceanic life."

KANAN: "So you come here while I'm at work to tease me?"

MARI: "Tease you? Don't take me so lightly, I'm here to save lives, you know! My own included."

AKI: "Saving lives?"

MARI: "Yours, too, Rainbow Student! So tell me, have you patched things up with Setsu yet?"

AKI: "..."

KANAN: "Mari!"

MAKI: "I'm sorry, I'll take that as a no..."

Time to change the subject...

AKI: "Oceanic life... Were there any divers in those underwater scenes?"

MARI: "No, there was a guest marine biologist talking about plankton."

AKI: "...Plankton?"

KANAN: "The last time she did this, she said it was because she got mille-feullie for dessert."

AKI: "I...don't know what that means."

MARI: "Kanan, you see through everything!
Anyways, what you just talking about..."

KANAN: "Which was?"

MARI: "About Uchiura's diving spot popularity."

KANAN: "Eavesdropping isn't a good habit, you know."

MARI: "Well, my impeccable ears can hear voices all the way on the other side of the world. I can't help it! It's why I can find Aki-ki in Tokyo every time without fail!"

AKI: "Uh..."

MARI: "It's joke!"

AKI: "So you admit that's not true."

Thank God...

MARI: "What exactly are you doing to advertise Uchiura's diving spots?"

KANAN: "I made some flyers and put them up. I have a social media account, too."

AKI: "You do social media advertising for this place?"

KANAN: "Yeah, I post about sea conditions and new products in the store."

AKI: "That's neat! I had no idea. Is it under the shop's name? I'll look it up."

KANAN: "Yeah, give us a follow when you find it."

MARI: "How many followers do you have now, by the way?"

KANAN: "U-Umm..."

AKI: "Oh, here it is. This is the account, right Kanan?"

Her followers are in the single digits?!

AKI: "Umm..."

MARI: "Allow me to help poor Kanan, for she is so sad her advertisements aren't working!"

KANAN: *Gulp*

...

MARI: "Already having a social media account speeds things up. You can advertise with ease and reach lots of people. You'll get more customers if you do it right, too."

Looks like Mari knows a lot about P.R. I'm glad that she's on our Festival Committee.

MARI: "Looking at the posts, I see that you're really only posting about the ocean and the shop."

AKI: "True... If all you post about is the weather, water temperature and wave condition for months on end, it's more like a weather account than a business account."

MARI: "The beautiful sea, delicious seafood, glorious Mt. Fuji. There are lots of things you can use, so use them!"

AKI: "You might be able to post about the people, too. Everyone here is very friendly, the Numazu Summer Festival cleanup proved that. So, it might make it easier for customers to come if they knew that."

MARI: "Nice memories!"

AKI: "Kanan, you should also post about yourself, too! I mean, you're a school idol! You're a perfect poster girl for the shop!"

MARI: "Kanan, are you ready? We're all set over here!"

KANAN: "Wait a minute. I get wearing the diving suit, but why am I holding sashimi in both hands?!"

AKI: "A picture with more impact will increase reach and give you more recognition!"

KANAN: "People might get the wrong idea though! You don't have to stay here for this, you know. This is Mari's thing."

AKI: "No, let me help. I'm not doing it for the sake of a distraction. Uchiura is a nice place, and I want more people to know about it. I genuinely think that."

KANAN: "You do? Thank you!"

...

MARI: "Hmm, the sashimi might not be the way to go. I should have brought some kind of hat for you..."

AKI: "I think Sashimi plated with the fish's tail and all would probably have more impact."

MARI: "I'll bring one next time!"

KANAN: "Aren't we missing the point here? This is turning out to be some kind of candid camera thing."

AKI: "Hm, I need to keep track of the train times. I don't want to miss my trip back."

MARI: "Aww, you're not staying the night?"

AKI: "Tomorrow's a Monday, school day."

MARI: "I applaud your dedication to your studies, Rainbow Student! Keep up the good work!"

AKI: "Thanks, I won't let my grades slip."

Distractions and idol activities are fun and all, but I can't let my grades drop. Setsuna wouldn't want tha-
