He carried his Xiao Bai again and analyzed her, fear rising in his heart for the first time in his life.

 He delivered his life force to her until it was useless to do that anymore. They were still in the Ancient ruins. The place was no longer dark, even beautiful and clear but silent and serene. The only thing he heard was his own heartbeat. He caressed Xiao Bai and tried to use his powers but they were too dim after he spent it. Feng Jiu's breathing had smoothed and she was peaceful because of the life force he delivered. But he could tell she had internal injuries and that too dark magic wounds. It was clear by the little black blood which had dripped down sideways from her mouth. He held her to his chest and finally rushed out when his mind cleared a little. The numbness hadn't left him. 

The moment he came out of the cave the entrance started to collapse. It was clear that the time for legacies was over and the cave was naturally closing. He rushed with his remaining strength. Not even waiting for the collapsing formation to fully collapse he attacked it and broke through mightily. It was times like this you would realize that the calm, peaceful Dong Hua had fought many wars and had faced many life-death experiences. He had climbed up from the very bottom. So obviously even if his powers were more or less exhausted and he has seriously injured himself, it would mean nothing much to him. But his Xiao Bai, who was in his arms seemingly lifeless, was what made him lose his mind. So much that he wouldn't mind mindlessly killing whoever or whatever came in his way in taking Feng Jiu back for Zhe Yan to treat.

Thus even if he was bleeding to the point his face wasn't visible as he was bathing in the golden light illuminated by his golden blood. Zhe Yan and Bai Zhen were looking at the sky seemingly anxious when they saw a silhouette of a person and a girl being carried. They were just drinking Peach wine and teasing each other when Dong Hua came blazing in golden light with Xiao Jiu clinging to him pale-faced. A foreboding feeling overcame Zhe Yan as he looked at Bai Zhen who was blinking.

It was already dark. Bai Qian was sitting under a tree in Ten Miles of Peach blossoms drinking wine reminiscing about how she flirted with Ye Hua under the influence of Alcohol right here. How this place which was already a big part of her childhood had become a place of new memories and bliss. It was the place she had cried in, laughed in, did mischievous things, and spent time with Ye Hua. 

She was just thinking of the years of bliss which she never thought she'd finally have. It was a good feeling. Just as she was thinking about her husband he appeared next to her. Her dazed eyes moved to him but before she could even react he was already so near her that their lips almost touched. 

"Qianqian, I don't mind you drinking but I'm afraid it will look like your husband doesn't keep you happy to the others," he whispered. She was stunned for a little moment but then she couldn't help but smiled amusedly a little and pushed him away.

"Are you back already?" she asked.

"Hmm," he said as he patted her. 

Bai Qian "..."

Ye Hua didn't mind her speechlessness and immediately pressed his lips to her. For what seemed like a long time he let her go. Bai Qian gasped for air. Bai Qian stared at him trying to determine just what was going on with her husband. Did he want to eat her several times today? Or was he showing so much love because he was leaving for a mission again? The thought disappointed her. Even if Ye Hua was the crown prince and she knew his duties it was inevitable that she wanted to spend time with him.

He was leaning in to kiss her again but she stopped him lightly pushing him away. He looked at her.

"Ah Li wants to visit Feng Jiu tonight. I have to take him and also have to talk to her." She said crossing her arms.

"I'll let someone else take him to Bai Feng Jiu to play. Tonight you're not going anywhere," he said shamelessly. Bai Qian was already used to him. Besides she too had waited for him and was kind of angry but as he bent down to kiss her all her anger faded away and lust and love took place. She cupped his cheeks and banged his forehead with hers. He chuckled and kissed her anyway. 

The next moment a huge boom sounded and light enveloped the dark sky. Ye Hua cursed under his breath as Bai Qian looked around blinking.

"Old phoenix you are not being fair?" Bai Zhen said with a slight frown.

"Have I ever been fair? I've always given the best to you. Are you too used to it?" Zhe Yan deadpaned.

"Really Old phoenix? I've told you I want Red-feral fruit for a long time. This time you have it, but you don't give it to me...And you actually give it to the flower goddess. I didn't expect you to fall for her evil face." Bai Zhen said with a straight face.

"You sound jealous." Zhe Yan said amusedly. But kept the fruit in a box and had a small phoenix carry it away. Bai Zhen glared at the bird and looked back at Zhe Yan. He shook his head and said, "Although I said you should get married she is not a good option. Plus she has a reputation of a seductress."

"Oh, what's wrong with being beautiful." Zhe Yan looked away with a slight smile as if remembering something.

Don't know why anger coursed through Bai Zhen's veins and he stood up. "So smitten you are! So now hoes over bros?" he said and turned away.

Zhe Yan finally couldn't help laughing. Zhe Yan walked away fast, his silky black hair and white robe fluttering with the wind. Zhe Yan gazed at him and almost forgot to call him out.

"Zhen Zhen." he grabbed his wrist. Zhe Yan froze and looked back at him. Suddenly Zhe Yan found himself embarrassed.

"I...I have it for you...I mean I didn't just find a fruit but the whole tree is in my back yard."

"So you have kept it for me?" Bai Zhen asked. He nodded. Bai Zhen's face was finally good. There was a strange silence between the two.

"I gave it to flower goddess because I owed her a favor," he said, with a smile, which looked a little flirtatious on his face. 

Bai Zhen looked down silently in the hand that was held and then the smiling Zhe Yan, and his heart felt uncomfortable and weird.
