{11} Kissing Dong Hua

Di Jun had told Si Ming to set up secret security bugs who could brief him about any unusual activity which was going on in the Green Sea. He had checked and everything was alright. It looked like the calm before the storm.

Dong Hua knew who was behind it. He had known her since long ago. Tang Yin was a talented young lady. He didn't understand why she turned like that.

People say love is the purest thing and that it brings happiness. But to Tang Yin it was lethal. I don't know how she is still alive ... I don't know what makes people obsess over love so much.

"Xiao Jiu." Yan Chiwu had looked for Feng Jiu everywhere. He went to the beach to look for her but couldn't find her at all. Then he decided to go back to the stay and look for her. He barged into her room and there she was. He quickly ran in.

"Xiao Jiu You're back! Ayya I thought some animal ate you."

"No animal can eat me." She laughed.

"Thank goodness you're safe. By the way..." A-li was peacefully eating the sorrowless cakes made by Feng Jiu. Yan's gaze went to him as he sat down opposite to Feng Jiu.

"Who's this little guy? is he your son?" Yan asked incredulously. Feng Jiu snorted.

"He's A-li, aunt's and crown prince's son and my cousin."

"oh."

"Hello, I am A-li, Li for separation. Who are you?" He asked cutely.

"I'm Demon Lord Yan Chiwu, little brat."

"Sister Feng Jiu, why are you friends with a rude demon? I am 20,000 years old and I'm a good kid. Ask Feng Jiu sister." he crossed his arms showing that he was annoyed. Yan let out a weird laugh.

"A-li be good." Feng Jiu told him. The little Yeqian combination shrugged. She told him to play outside for a while and he walked outside with a whiny face.

"Where were you yesterday?"

"I was attacked by a purple-eyed spider."

"What? were you scared of them?"

"No. But it sprayed poison on me."

"What? Are you okay?"

"Yeah. But...I met his Majesty."

"Ice face? He didn't help you at all?"

"No-No. He kinda saved me. I mean he did." She said as her lashes drooped down.

"I didn't expect him to be kind."Β

"Well, help me analyze a bit."

"Tell me." He said pouring the second cup of tea for himself and told Xiao Ju not to drink the already cold one.

"I was unconscious for a while and we stayed together the whole afternoon. And I don't know what happened exactly. Zhe Yan said he dropped me in the evening."

"What? Do you think he did something wrong with you?" Yan Chiwu almost screamed and said the words incredulously. Feng Jiu ignored his antiques.

"Obviously not. But I am fearful that I must have done something. I'm always weird when I'm sick."

"Well he does love Ji Heng deeply, he wouldn't do anything to you."

"I know, now tell me what I should do?"

"Ask him."

"Ask him?"

Meanwhile in the mortal realm...

A shadow lurked around in the national museum where the best and most unique jade was kept. It was the soul locking Jade which had been shattered and fallen into the mortal realm and reformed itself. It was night and the shadow grew hands which took the jade away. The alarm rang and the shadow returned to Nine heavens.

A very beautiful girl received the jade brought by the shadow and it vanished. She sat with her head resting on the cave's wall and she didn't have legs but a long white scaly tail. She was clearly a python. She laughed evilly as she gazed hungrily at the jade in her hand.

"Finally Dong Hua. I woke up and walked out of my grave as I said. You didn't know I could use dark magic, did you? I am like this thanks to you. But I'd soon recover all my cultivation with the soul locking jade and the numerous souls I've collected. I haven't decided what to do yet. I just want to see your face first. I'm sure you already know I'm back." She laughed to herself again like a maniac she was.

Some time ago

Feng Jiu shivered and pulled on Dong Hua's silver hair. "Mother...so cold..." she cried. Dong Hua gazed at her. The jade necklace blinked every once in a while. He had to find a chance to let Si Ming spill what had happened in the past and the truths he was unaware of.

"So cold." she creased her forehead. Dong Hua gave his purple gown to her. He tried to move her head again but whenever he did she moved closer to him. Maybe because she felt cold. But he let her. Actually he found it very rare. A fairy clinging to him. She slightly opened her eyes.

Feng Jiu's POV

"Dong Hua..." I whispered. It must be a dream. He is a man so beautiful and peaceful and perfect. How come I am in his arms half awake? I looked at him. He was resting with his eyes closed. It was afternoon dark clouds were there in the sky. It's a dream anyway. I felt a faint pain in my neck as I rose up and kissed his nose. He didn't move and his eyes remained closed. I let out a soft giggle as I fell asleep again in his lap in my dreams.

Third Person POV

He opened his eyes. Dong Hua felt a little weird. He took a deep breath and used the lethargic formula on Feng Jiu again so she would sleep till late evening. He stared at the Phoenix flower on her forehead which was nothing but beautiful.

"Phoenix Nine." (Feng means Phoenix and Jiu means nine in Chinese.) He whispered to himself.

This time he didn't move her away. More like he didn't want to. One thing about Dong Hua was he did what he wanted, and second was no one could say anything. The previous scene replayed in his head. The jade necklace blinked every once in a while. He decided to take out his Buddhist scripture to stop his thoughts from wandering any further.

Then he felt a few water droplets falling on his head. Soon it started to rain heavily. He created a magic bubble that would prevent them from being wet. Feng Jiu cried in her sleep again and she kept clinging on to Dong Hua's gown. After hesitating for a while he patted her back and continued to read.
