"Ma'am...sir refused to have your food, he even broke the plate and told me to convey his message, that he isn't feeling hungry for your cooked food." The young girl apprised Naina with a timid face, and Naina smiled, and gestured to her to go back to her work.

"Such a cute liar, what does he think I will believe that he won't eat my burnt pancake? I know him better than himself. He can throw his anger and frustration at me, but can never insult a single piece of food." Naina said with a lopsided smile, and let out a deep breath.

There was no function today, everyone was free and was planning to go somewhere. Bachelor party was already thrown when Karan's alliance got fixed with Kajal. Tomorrow is a big day for everyone. They were discussing where to go, just then Naina saw Sameer walking out of the elevator. She smirked, suggesting in a loud voice - "We should visit a haunted house. It will be so fun."

Though they weren't talking much with Naina, her idea seemed exciting and adventurous. Sameer was stunned when She gave the idea of visiting a haunted house. What is this girl is upto? He took quick steps towards the table, where everyone was sitting, and announced - "I am not coming."

"Why buddy?" Altamash asked him in a gloomy voice.

"I don't like such places." Sameer said sternly, and Naina gaped at him in shock.

He was the one who used to insist her to come with him to their ancestral haunting house, but She always refused to join him, hence she freaked out just by seeing the thick webs on the wall. In her childhood She once dared to watch a show, which was based on a ghost story. For a while she didn't feel anything frightening, but gradually when the ghost appeared her eyes widened with horror waving inside them, and She quickly ran away from there. The whole night she wasn't able to sleep, the dangerous painted face of that ghost was flashing in her mind like a movie, and her whole body was sweating profusely.

"Oh come-on dude...we should try everything once in life, don't miss this golden opportunity. Allah knows when all of us will meet each other again." Altamash said with an encouraging smile, but his stubborn friend kept moving his head negatively.

"Ok if he doesn't want to come, then we can't force him." Karan declared in a low voice, and Sameer smirked evilly.

"But I will definitely come." Naina said enthusiastically, and Her ex-boyfriend gaped at her with surprise.

"Why?" He questioned curiously.

"Someone told me years ago, I shouldn't behave like a scared kitten, I should enjoy everything in my life whether it's frightening or exciting. There should be a little fun and spice, otherwise life will seem boring." Naina replied to him with a dreamy smile, and Sameer looked at her astonishingly. Even after years, she remembered his words exactly.

"So are you coming or not? Riya asked him with a knowing smile.

"If you guys are insisting on me a lot, I can't break your heart. So yeah I am coming." Sameer said casually while shrugging off his shoulder, and Everyone glanced at each other with a giggle escaping out of their mouth.

"Ok so we will leave in the afternoon after 2:00 pm, and will return back in the night around 1:00 am. Done?" Karan shared his plan with a restless smile, and They all nodded their heads in yes.

"We will go to Sameer's Ancestral Haunted House." Naina said aloud with a beaming smile, and Sameer glared at her irritatingly.

"O my god Sameer, you really have a haunted house? I can't believe this." Kajal exclaimed shockingly.

"It's not a haunted house, this silly girl felt it when I showed her the pictures. It's a normal place, don't assume anything." Sameer said in a rude voice, and Naina rolled her eyes.

"Whatever, but I really want to go there." Naina whined like a baby, and Sameer declared - "We won't go there."

"But Why? Please fulfill my one last wish." She pouted cutely, and his anger melted now like an ice-cream. He gritted his teeth at her, and said in a stringent voice - "Fine...but don't tell me you are feeling suffocated after seeing the place, because I won't let you come out before 1:00 am. Am I clear?"

"Yes Sir." Naina bowed down her head with a sweet smile, and Everyone laughed seeing her antics.

"But what about keys?" Altamash queried, and before Sameer could answer him. Riya said smilingly - "We can break the lock by using a stone."

"Now I understand why you left law studies, your whole interest was in becoming a Thief." He commented with an attitude.

"Yes I am a thief of your heart, after all I have stolen it without doing anything much." Riya replied to him with a shy smile, and Altamash was clean bowled with her answer.

"Please continue your romance after reaching there." Kajal said with a tight-lipped smile.

"One-Sided Romance." He corrected her annoyingly.

"Soon it will be a two sided My Alma." Riya gave a flying kiss, and wink at him before walking away.

Everyone was left one by one, only Samaina was there. Naina looked at him nervously, and asked him softly - "How was the pancake?"

"I threw it away in the dustbin." Sameer retorted while glaring at her in exasperation.

"Oh...thank god you didn't have it, I mistakenly added extra sugar." She said with an innocent face.

"No...I didn't feel there was extra sugar. It was perfect, the slightly burnt part was pretty horrible to swallow down." Sameer spoke with a solemn face, and soon noticed a smirk arriving on Naina's face.

He spills the beans like an idiot.

"You don't have to feel ashamed, Sameer, I know you, like a mother knows her own child. Don't hide anything from me, and even if you would have thrown my pancake in the dustbin, I still would have felt good. At least on that pretext you would have touched my pancake, this was enough to bring a smile on my face " Naina said with a small smile, and looked at him lovingly.

"What do you think? This will melt me? I will welcome you again in my life with open arms?" He asked her threateningly, and She nodded her head negatively, and said with a smirk - "No...but at least let me try, maybe you will accept me one day. I won't lose hope easily."

Naina stood up to leave, but a strong hand abruptly halted her for walking away, and decreasing the remaining distance between them. Sameer said in an intense voice - "do whatever the hell you want, but listen to me carefully, I will not accept you ever in my life. The girl I loved madly has changed, and so my love for her is also finished now."

"The girl you loved madly is still the same for her lover. She might be little changed for others, but for him she is still an old Nerd Timid Girl, who used to feel nervous under his gaze." Naina spoke in a husky voice, lightly touching his damp hair.

"Leave this all, care to tell me why you want to go to that haunted house?" Sameer asked her aggressively, as his eyes stared into her innocent ones.

"Because you love adventures." She replied smilingly.

"But you don't." He corrected her.

"I will...if you will be there with me." She said with a small smile.

"I won't come then." He declared out of rage.

"You will." She said confidently.

"Why?" He asked her desperately.

"Because you care for me, you won't leave me alone at such a spine-chilling place." She answered in a low voice, which held blind confidence.

"I can." He said dangerously.

"Prove it then." She challenged him with an evil smirk.

"I don't have to prove anything to you." He spoke angrily, and looked at her smiling face with vexation.

"I don't even want you to prove anything to me, because I know you love me...and you won't express it through words." Naina said with a beautiful smile, and caressed his manly face gently.

"See you later, My Love. Miss Me till then." She lightly patted his cheek as if he was a five year old kid, and left from there with a smile.

Everyone gathered outside of the hotel, carrying an enthusiastic smile on their faces. Naina's idea indeed brought excitement in their bodies, they were planning to have a road trip to Lonavala, but now this haunting house seems more interesting than the thousand times visited Lonavala's Farmhouse. Sameer wanted to drive hence he knows the address better than them, but Altamash requested him to let him drive, and He should have some fun by sitting at the backside seat. Sameer shook his head in annoyance, and quickly sat inside, and before anyone else could take a place beside him. Naina jumped on her seat, and passed a cute smile to him. He glared at her for deliberately choosing a seat beside him, and She just let out a few heavy breaths. Altamash sat on the driver seat, and Riya on the passenger side, Karan and Kajal settled themselves behind Samaina's seat, for some privacy as a couple, and soon the car started to move on the clear road carelessly. The way Altamash was driving, for a while everyone thought this day was gonna be the last day of their life. He was smirking seeing their frightened faces.

"Better you throw all of us out of this car. We don't want to die in a terrible accident." Sameer remarked with an annoyed face, and Altamash smirked mischievously, and said - "Maybe you will get bedridden for just one week, or a month, or a year...or maybe for Lifetime."

"What the..." Sameer controlled himself immediately, as soon as the innocent face of Naina came in front of him.

"Don't worry buddy...if Allah wills we will return back safely." Altamash said with a careless smile, and Riya looked equally daring like him.

"The idea of visiting that place itself is idiotic." Sameer murmured in an irritated tone.

"By your stupid ex-girlfriend." Naina said in a cute smile, and He gave a confused look.

"This idea is given by your stupid ex-girlfriend...that's what I was saying." She explained to him in a low voice, and He hummed, and taunted her - "Needless to say Why are we staying separated from each other. You are really very stupid and brainless."

"Thank you for this honest feedback about me." She said with a careless smile, and Sameer looked at her without any emotion waving on his shining face.

Altamash planned to create the environment a little romantic, so he turned on the song, and it's soulful music started to echo in the car.

"Dil ibadat kar raha hai. Dhadkanein meri sun..Tujh ko main kar lu haasil lagi hai yehi dhun."

Sameer looked at Naina with a slow smile as her head landed on his shoulder, he wasn't able to understand if She was really asleep, or was pretending to be. He slightly nudged her, and whispered something in her ear, but She didn't respond to him. Maybe She also didn't sleep like him last night. He sighed with a smile, and gently caressed her flying hair.

"Zindagi ki shaak se loon kuch haseen pal main chun. Tujh ko main kar lu haasil lagi hai yehi dhun."

Karan was holding Kajal's hand so softly, and was kissing her knuckles with a mischievous smile. She didn't blushed or went shy, but instead kissed him on his cheek, and they had an intense eye-lock.

"Jo bhi jitne pal jiyun Unhe tere sang jiyun. Jo bhi kal ho ab mera use tere sang jiyun."

Altamash was stealthily glancing at Riya, who was allowing fresh air to blow on her face, her blonde brown hair was dancing carelessly, and She was smiling naturally at seeing the greenery around her. He felt shiver in his whole body when her soft hand accidentally touched him, they both looked at each other awkwardly, Riya never looked so nervous before today. Altamash quickly averted his gaze from her, and unknowingly a hue of red appeared on his face.

"Jo bhi saansein main bharun Unhe tere sang bharu. Chahe jo ho rasta use tere sang chalun."

Naina rightfully wrapped her hands around Sameer's waist, and snuggled more into his warm chest. She was smiling in her sleep, and this sight swelled up his heart with love and happiness. A sudden urge of kissing her cheek washed over his face, and He bit his lower lip to control his emotions.

"I wish to keep you like this in my arms my whole life." Sameer said in a husky voice, and his lips gently touched her hair.

Naina smiled in response, she wasn't sleeping, she just wanted to spend some beautiful moments with Sameer, so she acted to sound sleepy. But one thing She realised today, this man whom she caused unbearable anguish is still concerned about her. The way he was holding her protectively, it clearly expresses that he doesn't want to disturb her sleep because of potholes, his warm hands were playing with her hair strands.

Soon they reached the Ancestral Haunted House which was located in some dreary jungle, the clouds gathered together creating darkness all over the pretty sky. Everyone got down with an amused smile on their lips, but Naina was feeling uncomfortable seeing the trees dancing, many dried leaves were sleeping peacefully on the ground, and the whole place seemed like a nightmare to her. Sameer glanced at her with a smirk on his face, and the way She was taking baby steps, He was unable to stop his giggling. The giant junk gate was closed, with dirt stuck on it like a lazy lizard. The idea of coming here seemed hazardous now, she didn't even have the courage to go inside.

"Scared?" A familiar voice fell into Naina's ear, and She looked back at him with a horrified expression.

"Nnnn...No. Why do you feel that I got scared?" Naina said bravely, and He hummed with a smile, and asked her teasingly - "Why are these drops falling on your skin? Are you sweating out of dread?"

Naina dabbed her face, and replied to him in a low voice - "No, actually I am feeling warm here, the atmosphere is quite tortuous for my body."

"Atmosphere or This Place?" He asked her amusingly, and She glared at him angrily.

"Sameer, do you have a key or should we break the door?" Riya yelled at him with an annoyed face, and Sameer replied to her in a stern voice - "Why are you hell bent on breaking the door? Are you Daya of CID?"

Altamash was laughing like a maniac, only Sameer could shut off Riya's mouth with his sarcastic answers.

"Stop laughing like a Safed Bhootni." Riya scolded him out of exasperation.

"If I am a white witch, then you are black cat." Altamash retorted with a lopsided smile.

"Then you are a flying ghost." She said angrily.

"Which ghost flies?" Altamash asked her with a confused face.

"Stop talking about Ghost guys." Naina screamed at them in a scary tone.

"Someone is getting scared." Sameer commented, and looked at her while pushing his hands inside his denim.

"No." Naina answered with low confidence reflecting in her eyes.

"Liar." He said with a chuckle, and unlocked the door after pushing the key inside the keyhole.

They went inside, and there was no dirt and dust in any corner, everything was looking neat and clean, but still the moving chair, broken window, and flying butterfly roaming in the hall haunted Naina. She kept her hand on her damp chest to control her heart from jumping out of her mouth, she tightly closed her eyes when the butterfly went past her, and Sameer sniggered.

"Wow...such a beautiful place." Riya exclaimed with a dreamy look.

"Bhootni apni bhootiya dosto se milne aayi hai." Altamash screamed at the old painted walls, and Riya threw the bouncing ball on his face.

"Shhhh Koi Hai." Sameer whispered into Naina's ear in a low dangerous voice, and She shouted with fear - "Bhoot...Bhoot, yaha bhoot hai."

Everyone started to laugh seeing her face, and Sameer quipped with a smirk - "Coward Lawyer."

"Shut Up." She yelled at him, and panted heavily.

"Let's explore this place." Riya suggested with an excited smile, and everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

They all get separated in different places, and Naina was wondering Why Sameer isn't accompanying her. If he knows she gets frightened at seeing such a horrible place, then why didn't he come with her? The electricity was also gone, there were no lights for illumination. She was slowly roaming in the corridor, where there were a couple of rooms which were closed. She was trying to relax her jumping heart, but when the lizard sat on her shoulder. She screamed loudly, her heartbeats quickly accelerated, and she sent back the lazy lizard on the floor by using her sweaty hands.

"O god to impress Sameer, I think I have invited death for myself." Naina mumbled in a heavy breath.

Sameer was watching her from a good distance, and was smiling to himself. He panicked when he heard her scream, but he didn't want to help her, as She should know how to behave courageously, everyone won't be there for her when she will be in a problem. He sighed with relaxation in his heart, and combed his messy hair in a style.

• Riya was wandering in one room, where everything was disarranged. She looked at the broken piece of cup, and grinned, wondering who would have broken this? A Ghost? She turned back to go, but suddenly a hard figure bumped into her, and She was about to scream, but that person clamped her mouth, and pushed her quickly against the wall. Riya looked at him like a scared baby for a moment, until her heartbeat went normal. Altamash was staring at her intensely, which was making her feel shy. She smiled like a fool, and He drew off his hand immediately when he realised their position, and She just blushed like a bride.

"Were you stalking me?" Riya asked him with an amused smile.

"It's just a coincidence." He said simply, and shrugged off his shoulder.

"intentional coincidence." She corrected him with a sweet smile.

"One more word, then see what I will do." Altamash threatened her.

"Kiss?" Riya asked him shyly.

"Kidnapping...I will tie up your hands, legs and mouth from a thick rope." He said jokingly, and looked at her with a lopsided smile.

"Haye...What A Sexy Kidnapper." She said excitedly, and He gaped at her in shock.

"Please kidnap me, Alma. I am dying to be your first victim." Riya asked him with a wide smile, and Altamash clenched his jaw at seeing her childishness.

"You know what? The way you pushed me against the wall, ahhh. It was so romantic, in daily soap dramas the male lead always plasters the body of the heroine against the wall as if she is a Poster. I always dreamt of having this kind of scene happening in my life, and you fulfilled my wish. Thank You Alma." She said with a cute smile, and looked at him with a twinkle in her blue eyes.

"Do you take drugs?" He asked her in a shocking tone.

"What?" She screamed out of surprise.

"You behave so weird." Altamash spoke with an unbelievable look.

"Are you an engineer?" Now it was her turn to question him with a smirk.

"Why?" He asked her surprisingly.

"Because You Are So Boring. A hopeless romantic man." Riya commented with a tight-lipped smile, and Altamash quickly slipped his hand on her waist, and said in a hoarse voice - "You still haven't seen a real Altamash, if I can be a boring person at times, then I can be that first man as well who will leave sparkles of sweat on your skin. Don't mess with me."

"How?" She challenged him.

He tightened his grip on her waist, and looked at her intensely. She lowered her head, and He softly kissed her. Riya gasped when his lips touched her cheek, and He whispered in a low voice - "Like This. Do you need more trailers?"

"Nnnn...No. Thanks." She quickly freed herself from his grip, feeling extremely nervous.

Altamash rubbed his hand on his beard, and said huskily - "It Was A Beautiful Experience."

Riya looked at him with confusion, and He lightly patted her cheek as an answer.

Was he talking about Kiss? She thought with a bemused face, and as if He read her mind. He nodded his head in agreement, and strode away from there.

Before She could recover from the shock. Altamash again appeared in front of her, and whispered in her soft ear with a devilish smirk - "Engineers aren't boring darling, I hope you got your answer now, because I am also an Engineer."

He disappeared from there the next moment like air, and Riya blushed like a teenager, who just experienced the first kiss of her life with her crush.

"He is really very romantic." She said with a coy smile.

Everyone explored the House, and met each other again in the dark hall. Riya was still thinking about the kiss, and Altamash was staring at her with a knowing smile. Naina was wiping her face from the handkerchief, she literally had a terrible experience here. She felt as if each corner was screaming at her, and someone was following her steps continuously. Kajal was trying to catch the flying butterfly, and Karan was sitting on the half broken chair. Sameer was giving life to the candles, and now the house looked quite better than before. Hence there was light, and everyone could see each other's face now.

"This place is damn lucky for me." Riya said with a hidden smile.

"Why?" Naina asked her with a shocked face.

"You won't understand." She replied to her naughtily.

"Right...her understanding capacity is very low." Sameer remarked with rudeness in his tone, and Naina felt a little bad.

"We can see that." Everyone said grumpily, and Naina spoke in an infuriated voice - "I won't stop guys from blaming me, because I really deserve this, but I will do anything to gain Sameer's trust, I will win his heart again, and even if it will take me years. I won't give up...because I genuinely love him so much, and I know he also loves me, it's just that he doesn't want to show his love because of my old mistakes."

"Looks like someone is daydreaming." Sameer said with a fake chuckle.

"It's Evening Now." Naina uttered with a mischievous smile.

"Can anyone narrate a horror story? I am so excited." Riya asked them with a nervous smile.

"I can." Altamash said normally.

"Ok so let's sit down, and Sameer please keep one candle in the middle of all of us." Riya said with an agitated smile, and He nodded his head in yes.

"God these people are really gone case." Naina murmured angrily, and reluctantly sat down on the floor.

Sameer sat beside her, knowing that She would definitely need him when Altamash would be busy reciting the horror story. They both looked at each other coldly, and then shifted their attention to the candle, which was kept in the middle.

"There was an old woman, who used to sit on the branch of the tree every night, her thick long hair turned grey, there were lines of wrinkles on her old face, she always wore a white saree. One day a group of young boys and girls reached a deserted Jungle, where there was no noise, no sound of birds chirping around them." Altamash started to recite the story while making the environment horrified.

Naina was literally imagining that Old woman, and the way Altamash has given a description of her, she could feel her heart throbbing wildly. Sameer looked at her with concern in his eyes, and sat closer to her, to give his warmth without even touching her.

"They were exploring the Jungle with an amused smile, when suddenly one boy decided to climb on the tree, and take a look at the whole place. He was singing a song, Jhalak Dikh Laja...Jhalak Dikh Laja...Ek Baar Aa Jaa...Aa Jaa...Aa Jaa...Aa Jaa." Altamash was intentionally trying to scare everyone, but Riya wasn't looking scared even a little. She was gaining more interest in knowing the whole story.

Naina was feeling dizzy now, she never preferred to hear horror stories, it always made her feel uncomfortable and suffocated. She was trying hard to keep her eyes open, but they were slowly giving up.

"Suddenly...the old woman appeared there, and sat beside him with an evil smile on her face. The young boy was engrossed in completing the song, but soon he felt someone's presence around him. He daringly looked back, and saw an unfamiliar lady sitting on the same branch as him with evil intentions in her old eyes. He gasped, feeling a little dread in his heart...he tried to distract his mind, but her haunting face was disturbing him, and so he decided to jump down and run back to his tent. But the old lady held his hand, and stopped him...and then." Altamash was about to say, when suddenly they heard a loud scream of Sameer. They saw a fainted figure of Naina, lying unconsciously on the floor. Sameer was worriedly dabbing her cheek, while looking at her beautiful face with frown lines creased on his forehead.

"Naina." Everyone rushed towards her, and Riya quickly opened the bottle, and sprinkled drops of water on her face. They all were looking at her worriedly, and Altamash was feeling guilty for narrating such a horrible story. It must have impacted her badly.

Naina regained her consciousness slowly, and her scared eyes innocently looked at the tensed face of Sameer, and a slow smile increased on her lips. She was still panting heavily, and sensing her movement. Everyone looked at her with a relieved smile, and Sameer tightly hugged her while caressing her soft hair affectionately. He got numbed when She fainted, he knows she doesn't have a strong heart to listen to such a ghost story. Still to show everyone and especially to him that She is a very brave girl, she sat there to hear the story. He breathed unevenly against her neck, and Naina weakly wrapped one hand on his back, and patted it with a smile.

Sameer broke the hug, and gently kissed her on her forehead, and asked her - "Are you fine Naina? Do you need water?"

"No...I am fine." She said in a low voice.

"Are you sure?" He asked to reconfirm, and Naina slightly nodded her head in yes.

Sameer let out a deep breath, and Riya uttered in a soft voice - "Umm I am sorry Naina, I didn't know you are afraid of Ghost."

"I am not." Naina said sharply.

"Please guys don't talk about Ghost now, it's enough for today, and I think we should leave from here." Sameer spoke with an irritated face, and everyone looked a little melancholic.

"No...please you guys don't spoil your mood because of me, I am absolutely fine." Naina tried to assure them, but her eyes again started to get heavier, and everything turned slightly blurred for her.

Sameer looked at her worriedly, and said in a strict tone - "Stop acting like a brave woman. Naina, I know you aren't feeling comfortable here. I warned you in advance, don't come here, but you never listen to me. Now see it's consequences, dare to argue with me now...you will face the worst side of mine."

"Don't scold me like a teacher." She said with a cute face, and He looked at her angrily.

"I accept that I don't like haunting places, in fact it's name itself scares me very much, but for your happiness I came here. I know you always desired to visit this ancestral house with me, but I always refused because of fear, now if God himself has given me one more chance to fulfill your wish, so I did it...though i disappointed everyone, but believe me I genuinely tried to subside my fear for ghosts, but it didn't happened. I am so sorry." Naina said with an upset face, and looked at everyone apologetically.

"You don't have to do anything for me. How many times should I repeat my own words, idiot? For me nothing is more important than you and your health, and dare you ask me to come here again. I will..." Sameer was feeling wordless, he knows he has overreacted, a selfish girl like Naina doesn't deserve any kind of sympathy and worry from his side, but he can't control his feelings when it comes to her. He tried numerous times to hate her, but he failed miserably.

"Get Lost." He harshly pushed her away, and stood up to leave from there.

Everyone was confused by his behaviour, what exactly did he want to do?

Naina gulped down nervously, and said to herself - "I am sorry. Sameer, for always hurting you, I never intended to cause you pain, but destiny had some other plans. I still can't believe I actually behaved like a selfish girl in front of you...I really don't deserve a place in your life, but still I want to try. Maybe our love story will not have a sad ending, and even if it will have...it will be because of my mistake."

Everyone went out with a sad face, and sat inside the car unwillingly.
