"So now can I go ahead?" Naina asked them all with a soft smile, and they nodded their heads in affirmation.

"Alright, so after that night every day of my life had been so beautiful just like a dream, i don't know why God loved me so much that he given me a boyfriend like him...sweet, naughty, caring, loving, smart, and most importantly who knows how to respect me and my decision, we went on a trip to Manali, and did so many adventures. I was never like this. I used to feel scared looking at hills and valleys, but with him I felt a firm confidence developing inside me. He introduced me to a New Naina, the unparalleled beauty of Rohtang Pass, the soft snows of Solang Valley, and the peace we find in a Hadimba Devi Temple. Everything was heavenly beautiful there with my Love of Life. We had a bet on who would climb those hazardous mountains more quickly, and unbelievably I won. I never thought a nerd girl like me could have so much fun amidst the breezy weather."

Sameer smiled genuinely, as he recalled that day when his Naina won the competition with him, and brought a self confidence in herself that even she can be a little daring.

"He used to make a heart-soothing ginger tea, to give some much needed heat to my frozen body. There was some magic in his hands, whatever he prepared for me. I became a fan of his cooking. After returning from one of our best trips. I started the preparations for my exams, hence they were deadly near, and in the zeal of enjoying my trip with him. I didn't studied well...and i used to sit whole night on the terrace, not caring about my health, my drowsy eyes, my shivering hands because of the windy environment, i just wanted to top again in the whole college, and He never complained to me for giving him so less time. In fact every night he used to come to motivate me...and." Naina glanced at Sameer, who looked at her with soft eyes for the first time in these two days.

The weather was damn cold that one without wearing a sweater would get freeze, the breezy air was continuously kissing the delicate skin of Naina, who was engrossed in marking some notes from the blue highlighter, her neck was paining slightly now hence she was looking into thick books from last two hours without any break. She yawned, and tried to focus on the current page which she was reading, but the weather, and then her increasing neck pain wasn't allowing her to concentrate properly. She lazily rested her head on the wall behind her back, and brought the book closer to her exhausted eyes.

"Hey." A familiar voice echoed in her ear, and She enthusiastically looked up at him with a tired smile.

"Hey...what are you doing here at this time?" Naina asked him in astonishment, as She watched the time in the clock beside her. It was 3:30 am.

"I have made coffee for you, have it." Sameer offered her one cup of coffee with a gentle smile, and She thanked him for being such a caring boyfriend.

Naina gently held the handle of the cup, and Sameer ensconced himself beside his sleepy girlfriend. He knew she must be feeling lethargic after spending hours revising chapters. She is a topper, still she studies very hard to get better scores. They both were sipping their coffee silently, and Sameer was glancing at her with a lazy smile, she wasn't looking energetic at all to study, also her body was shivering due to the weather.

He quickly wrapped the beige color blanket around her, and scolded her out of concern - "Stop being careless about your health. Naina, the weather is so chilly, how can you even come here to study without carrying a blanket or jacket?"

"I am sorry...I forgot to carry, and moreover I was so immersed in studying that I didn't feel breezy." Naina replied to him with a soft smile, and then pulled him inside the blanket as well. He shook his head in disbelief, and She said lovingly - "Sorry na...I won't repeat this mistake again. Now please smile?"

Sameer smiled a little only for her, and She weakly pulled his cheek, and spoke in a low voice - "thank you for making me a part of your life. I love you."

"I love you too...but I hate you as well because you don't take care of yourself when your exams come near, and then instead of behaving like your boyfriend. I had to become your mother. Naina, have you eaten your food? Naina, do you need coffee? Naina, have you taken a blanket with yourself? Naina, did you have a proper sleep?" Sameer said with an angry pout, and his acting was perfect. He was actually sounding like her real mother. Naina smiled at this thought, and nuzzled her nose softly against his chest.

"Awwww you sound so cute like my mother." Naina replied to him with a sweet smile, and He rolled his eyes angrily.

"Ok ok my aggressive man...I will take extra care of myself." She said in a soft voice, and He hummed and drew her closer to him under the warm blanket, and placed a light kiss on her forehead.

"Study well, don't get distracted because of my handsome face." Sameer spoke with a teasing smile, and Naina threw the cap of her ball pen on his face, and He laughed.

She started the revision again, and soon her heavy eyes gave up, and She slowly rested her head on his shoulder, the opened book was still in her grip, and the uncapped pen was lying near her feet. Sameer smiled in contentment, and from his one hand he caressed her soft cheek, which was warm now because of his closeness. Naina was looking innocent and divine while sleeping in an unconcerned manner. He lightly pecked her on her temple, before slipping into a beautiful sleep with his beautiful girl.

"Am I dreaming? Alma, please pinch me." Riya said with a shocked face, and Altamash pinched her on her arms in a painful way, and She looked at him angrily, and He spoke with an innocent smile - "What? You only asked me to pinch you."

"I have been asking you many things, why don't you do that?" She said grumpily, and He went silent.

"I am dying to know what went wrong between you guys?" Kajal screamed in annoyance, and Karan signalled her to calm down herself.

"Nothing went wrong from his side, he always supported me, and understand my situation, he never forced me to give him some time during my exams, never complained to me for studying day and night, he was the one who made sacrifices for me, for our love...I did nothing, it was always Him, he used to stay awake till midnight so that I don't feel alone, he did everything for me since the beginning of our friendship, but I was stupid to believe that..." Naina said in a shaky tone, and Sameer who was smiling a moment before, was now drowning in rage. He clenched his jaw, and looked at her in disgust.

"Aage bol...meri heartbeats badh rahi hai bhai, mujhe Alma ko mera Balma banane se pehle nahi marna hai curiosity ke mare." Riya spoke with a horrified expression, and Altamash scolded her - "Yeh tum ghum fir kar sab me mujhe hi kyu ghusa deti ho?"

"O god they again started to quarrel with each other. Stop it guys." Kajal yelled at them for fighting like a Tom and Jerry, and Riya glared at her sister for interrupting their Pyaar Wali Ladai.

"You're the biggest villain of my love story Kajal Di." She said with abomination in her voice, and Kajal was going to scold her, but Karan immediately held her hand, and uttered in a low voice - "No, keep your anger under control."

"Will you guys let me complete my story?" Naina asked them in a little stern voice, and Kajal remarked angrily - "This Riya and Altamash are disturbing us. Throw them both in hell."

"I am ready to go to hell if Alma is accompanying me." Riya said shyly, and Altamash chided her - "If you utter one more word, then Allah's swear I will strangle your neck."

"Please plan Riya's murder later." Kajal said in a casual way, and Riya threw her pillow on her face.

"Ok Naina you can restart your story." Karan told the irritated Naina with a calm smile, and She nodded her head in yes.

She sighed deeply, and took them in a flashback.

Naina was sitting on the staircase of the college, with one paper in her hand. She was looking like a lifeless person, her face was devoid of any expression. Sameer came to her with a smile, hence he knew today is the Result Day. He waved his hand at her, but She was lost in deep thought.

"Hey Naina?" He called her name a little loudly, and Naina blinked her eyes and looked up at him with a blank face.

"Why are you sitting here? You should be celebrating your victory. Right?" Sameer said with a sweet smile, but She was just looking at him with a storm bubbling in her eyes.

"Victory?" Naina asked him in a fake chuckle, and He said nervously - "Yeah...your victory? You must have topped in the college. Right?"

"Yup...see this." She gave him the paper she was holding in her hand, and Sameer looked at it with a shocked face.

"What is this?" He asked her in a low voice, and She said - "The result of my hard work."

"It can't be true." Sameer uttered with a baffled face, and Naina yelled at him - "I have failed, and everyone is mocking me for failing. Can't you see what is written on this paper? Naina Is A Failure, they are calling me a failure because I didn't score well."

"Relax...they must be joking." He tried to calm down her anger, but She glared at him, and said out of hatred - "I have become a joke for everyone...now everyone will laugh at me for getting failed, and this all happened because of you."

"What did I do?" Sameer asked her with a clueless face, and Naina screamed at him - "You are the one who distracted my mind, you used to come on the terrace so that I don't study well...and get disgusting marks. This was your plan to spoil my career, just like you did yours."

"I know it must not be easy for you to digest that you haven't scored well this time, but it's ok Naina. You can work extra hard next time." He said with a soft smile, trying to make her understand that getting low marks isn't a bad thing. She can try again!

"I know you must be feeling very happy right now, after all I will be also counted in your list. But it's enough now...I won't tolerate this all, I have to become a Lawyer, and if you will be there in my life, then I won't be able to do anything. Better we breakup, and I should focus on my career. This option will be better for both of us." Naina declared her decision in a stern voice, and Sameer looked at her with shock.

"Are you crazy or what? How can you even think of breaking our relationship just because you didn't score well this time? We can give the papers for recheck, they must have made some mistake." He said in a soft voice, but the frustration for receiving low marks was eating up Naina since morning.

"Shut up, don't try to behave innocently...I know it's your conspiracy to ruin my career, and make me feel like a useless piece of paper. Now I realise why you used to behave so sweetly with a nerd girl like me, because you wanted to trap me in your fake love. You feel envious of me because I am a topper, and you are a failure. You have no dreams and aspirations, you just want to live a life like a normal person, you don't want to become anything. You just wander here and there all day, no work...no determination about anything." Naina insulted him without any trace of guilt on her face, and Sameer was on the threshold of crying.

He never even thought of destroying her life, he was happy that She was so focused on her career unlike him, fulfilling her dream was his dream as well. But today She broke his heart. How can she accuse him of those things which he didn't even do?

"I never knew that girl whom I love immensely will one day blame me for her own mistake. I didn't know that girl whose dream was mine as well would accuse me of being the reason behind destroying her life. Thank you Naina for letting me know that in your life my existence means nothing, for you only your career is significant. My love, my feelings, my concern, my happiness, this all is freaking nothing for you." Sameer shouted at her for the first time in all these years, and for a moment Naina flinched at her place, and looked at him with hatred.

"Stop acting. I have understood your intentions very well now. I won't let you use me anymore, go and get lost. I don't want you nor your fake love. I have some dreams which I have to fulfill at any cost...I can't let any person destroy them." She said venomously, and was about to go from there, but He clutched her wrist, and stared at her with tears in his eyes.

"I didn't know for you, your career is more important than my true love, had I known earlier, I would have never wasted my feelings on an ungrateful girl like you. Anyway, all the best for your future. Thank you Naina for making me realise that I am a useless shit, who doesn't have any dreams and aspirations like you...it might be easy for you to forget me, but it will take me years to erase your images from my mind, i always loved you genuinely, and my feelings for you was never fake. It was my mistake that I fell in love with you. Have a good life. Bye." Sameer left her wrist as soon as he completed his sentence, and with a painful smile. He left from there, bringing tears to her eyes as well.

Naina was looking at his retreating figure, wondering if she had made a mistake by accusing him.

"God...I really want to kill you Naina. How can you blame that poor guy. I can't believe you're my friend." Riya was first to comment, and She looked at Naina with abhorrence.

"And I can't believe my sister made such an idiot friend." Kajal remarked with a furious face.

"You know what Naina, you are such a selfish girl...you blamed that innocent guy because of your own mistake. Good...very good." Altamash uttered with disappointment.

"Have you noticed something? We all are scolding Naina, but Sameer isn't saying a word. Isn't it a little strange?" Riya whispered in Altamash's ear, and He immediately looked at his friend, staring at Naina with a plain look.

"Hmm...something is fishy, the story he told me about him and his ex-girlfriend seems very similar to Naina's one." Altamash said to Riya in a low voice, and She nodded her head in acknowledgment.

"I think they're ex-girlfriend and boyfriend." Riya spoke with a doubtful face, and Altamash smiled, and teased her - "Must say you are quite intelligent...I mean the way you talk and flirt with me, I didn't feel even for a moment that you have a brain as well."

"A brainless girl can only fall in love with a boring guy like you." Riya said with a sarcastic smile, and He seethed in anger.

"Naina. I always considered you as my little sister. I always supported you in everything, but in this matter I will support that guy. You shouldn't have talked with him in such a condescending manner, how would you have felt if he would have blamed you for receiving low marks? You didn't only accuse him, but also made him feel inconsequential in your life...He loved you madly, but I guess you only loved your books." Karan said to Naina with tranquility in his voice, hence he didn't want to scold her. Already everyone is taunting her and making her feel ashamed of herself.

"I am sorry." Naina uttered with genuine guilt in her voice, and Sameer was feeling slightly offended for her.

"I made one more mistake." She said after a minute, and Everyone looked at her in shock

"What?" They asked her out of curiosity.

Naina sighed and spoke in a heavy voice - "I didn't fail...it was a mistake made by my college, my dad forced me to give papers for recheck, so I did...and later when I received a call from there. I felt my whole world slipping away beneath my feet, they said it was a mistake. I have scored well...though I didn't get enough marks to be a topper, but I secured 2nd position."

"Have you listened to her guys? When her dad asked her to give papers to recheck, she obeyed him like a good daughter, and when the same thing her boyfriend told her. She accused him. Wow superb Naina, you deserve an award for being such a selfish and heartless girl." Kajal said with utmost anger in her tone, and Everyone agreed with her point.

"Taunt me later...now listen to me please." Naina begged everyone to close their mouths, and They reluctantly agreed.

Naina was drowning in guilt ever since she got to know that She has secured 2nd position in the whole college. She wasn't feeling even a little happiness in her heart, she wanted to apologize to Sameer for blaming him unnecessarily. She took a deep breath before knocking the door of his house, she had no courage to face him, to talk with him. She was immersed in playing with her bracelet, when suddenly a rough voice asked her - "What are you doing here?"

Naina looked at him with a nervous smile, and said - "Ummm I have come here to make a confession. Please let me come in."

He allowed her to enter inside his house, and locked the door grumpily. She gulped down one glass of water, and spoke - "I am sorry."

"For?" He asked her without any interest, and Naina let out a deep breath, and apprised him - "I...I...I secured 2nd position in my college."

"Wow...congratulations." Sameer genuinely felt happy for her, and so He forwarded his hand to handshake with her, but at the same time realisation smacked him on his head, and He asked her in a confused tone - "How could this be possible? I mean you just told me that day you failed. Didn't you?"

"Yyyy...yeah, but later when I gave papers for recheck, they informed me that it was a mistake made by their side...I have passed the exams with good scores." Naina was feeling uneasy while telling him everything, her eyes were fixed on the woolen carpet spread on the floor.

"Can I know how you changed your mind about giving your papers for recheck?" Sameer asked her in a sarcastic way, and Her anxiety increased even more.

"My dad...he asked me to do this and...and I can't refuse him." She replied to him in a low voice.

"You can't refuse him...but you can refuse me and my love. Awesome." Sameer taunted her with a painful smile, and Naina said softly - "I...I got frightened, I never received such low marks, my parents always had high expectations from me. They always want me to top in college, I never saw myself as a Failure...that is why I took out my frustration on you. I sincerely apologise to you for hurting you, it was a mistake."

"How easy it is for you to say Sorry, but what do you think will I accept you again, after knowing my value is nothing but zero in your life? I don't want to be accused again and again. Please leave." Sameer joined his hands in front of her with grief in his eyes, and Naina said in a stern voice - "I haven't come here to ask you for one more chance."

"I have made up my mind...I will not be in any relationship, I don't want to ruin my career by engrossing myself in someone's bad influence." She said further with determination in her tone, and The last sentence was enough to break his heart again.

"Am I a bad influence?" Sameer asked her in a low voice, and Naina nodded her head negatively, and said - "I am not talking about you."

"Ok so if you're not talking about me, then who is that guy? and tell me something. How many boyfriends do you have?" Sameer intentionally accused her, to let her know how much it pains to be blamed without any reason.

"Mind your language Sameer, how can you raise your finger on my character?" Naina shouted at him.

"Why? Did it hurt you to be accused unnecessarily?" He asked her with a knowing smirk on his face.

"I didn't point to your character." She tried to justify herself.

"Right...you didn't point to my character, you directly pointed to my love. Wasn't you the one that day who told me that I trapped you in my fake love? I befriended you to ruin your career, because I feel envious of you? Am I right?" Sameer said with an intimidating smile, and Naina lowered her head out of embarrassment.

"Look, I am sorry for my words, I wasn't in my senses that day." She uttered in a shaky tone, while looking at his dangerous eyes uneasily.

"You weren't in your senses that day, I agree with you...but you showed me the real face of yours. You made me meet with a New Naina, who is only living her life to fulfill her dream. Love...Feeling this all doesn't matter for her, because she is a good girl for her parents, she can't disappoint them by keeping herself in a relationship, a boy like me without any dreams and goals will be a bad influence for her. Right?" Sameer said in an offended tone, and before She could find any words to reply to him. He continued speaking - "I might have no dream like you, because I wasn't a scholar like you, or I never felt the need to run behind my dream. I had everything in my life, a person without any dream isn't useless. If you have a desire to become a Lawyer, then it's very good...but you can't disrespect others who are living the life the way they want. As a human, I have the right to decide my career, and even if I wasn't good in studies like you...I have an inherent talent of my father. We both love to play cricket, my father always wanted to be a cricketer, but due to lack of money...and also my grandfather didn't support him. He dropped his idea of joining the cricket team, and started to handle his father's business."

"Since then my dad is seeing his dream in me, he wants me to be a cricketer...and even I have the same dream, so better you stop taunting me for not thinking anything about my career." He threatened her with anger in his voice, and Naina was stunned after knowing that Sameer wanted to be a cricketer, they never talked about his career, because whenever she asked him what he wanted to do in life. He casually avoided her question.

"All the best." She said with watery eyes, and Sameer just hummed.

"Once again I am sorry for troubling you, I hope you kill your feelings for me, just like I did for you. Thank You for making my childhood so memorable." Naina said with a small smile, her voice shaking at the thought of living her life without him.

"What kind of girl are you? At one time you used to promise to never leave me alone under any circumstances, and now Today you yourself are going away from me, just because you thought our relationship will affect your career? How stupid, you have no self confidence Naina, i can manage my love life and professional life simultaneously...I have no fear of anything, because I genuinely love you, and even the thought of leaving you is haunting me. If you never felt anything for me, then why did you behave with me so sweetly? Why did you gave me those beautiful feelings which you never felt for me? I hate you Naina...I just hate you a lot for playing with my emotions." Sameer was screaming at her with tears rolling down out of his eyes, he was finished completely. The last thread of hope has been broken now, Naina has left him shattered.

"Hate me as much as you want, I can't give a second chance to our relationship. I don't want to hurt you by giving you false hopes, please forgive me. For me nothing is more important than my career, I am sorry." Naina said with heaviness in her voice, and her heart was breaking down like a sand castle.

He glared at her for destroying his life, he is addicted to her totally, for once he even thought of finishing his life if Naina wouldn't be there with him, but now he won't do this stupidity. If for her he is dead, then he will also try to burn every memory with her, he will make sure to replace the love for her into endless hatred.

Naina reached the door, and looked back at him emotionally. She sighed, and said with a requesting smile - "If you really love me. Sameer, then build up your career in the cricket field."

Saying this she walked out of the door, or out of his life to never return back again.

Everyone was flabbergasted, they never saw such a dumb girl like Naina. For her career, she ruined her beautiful love life, she abandoned that guy who was always there with her like a rock. She isn't only selfish, but also a cruel girl, who broke the heart of that innocent boy.

"Kya nek kaam kiya hai aapne Naina Devi...bataiye humein kaise aapka samman kare? Jute Chappal se?" Riya taunted her friend in a sarcastic manner, and glared at her for being a brainless girl.
