Talk to me!

You parked your car as usual outside his mansion and hopped up the stairs.  The media had covered your story really well, including your past  from childhood to current. Speculations on how you met were spread everywhere and both those who approved and disapproved could be heard. On the news, they had brought in two "experts" to discuss the case, both whom which agreed the risk of you only being after Wayne's money was existing, and perhaps had seduced him until he was compelled to fall for you. Little did they know Bruce was the one who seduced you. Of course, that wasn't, according to them, a possibility; if that was the case it wouldn't have been more than a playboy thing. This seemed serious. In result, you had received a couple of very upset letters from people accusing you of stealing him and being a lying bitch, but as far as you were concerned, that wasn't very far from your brother's reaction and you had dealt with that before. It was now late and the sun had already settled. Alfred opened the door. For a brief second you thought you saw worry in his expression.

"Evening, Miss Y/N." He stepped aside with a smile, "Tea?"

"That's alright, where will I find him?" You replied, returning the smile.

"I'm afraid he's not at home, dear. He's on a so called 'Guys-night' it seems."

"Oh. I figured poker wasn't inevitable. Perhaps tea will do perfectly then."

Together with Alfred you walked to the kitchen and prepared some tea, which you then brought out to the balcony which was lit up by the full moon. He excused himself as he had something that was keeping him quite busy and left you alone in the warm summer evening. Picking up the emergency paper and pen you began to sketch the first thing in your mind. His jaw was soft and lips full but the eyes pierced through the paper, as if staring at the viewer.  It took you longer than expected, and when you went inside you found yourself completely alone in the house. It was oddly silent, not even a sound from Alfred. Yet, you had no reason to wait for Bruce to come home. Instead you took a shower and then slipped under the covers, falling sound asleep.

Waking up the next morning you felt his warm breath against your neck. With a smile you gently turned around to say good morning, kiss him and sneak out of bed. However, as your fingers tucked some hair away from his eyes you noticed a larger bruise on his cheek bone. Furrowing your eyebrows you saw that there was another one on his bicep. Why was he bruised? Had poker night turned violent? Not wanting to wake him up you silently sneaked out of the room to find Alfred. Together you prepared breakfast, even though he inspired on doing it alone.

"Did something happen last night, Alfred?"

He looked at you with a confused gaze,
"What would that be, Miss Y/N?"

"Well... Bruce had bruises..." You looked down on the counter as you spoke, staring at the tomato in front of you.

"It's nothing, dear, I fell on the ice." You looked up as you heard Bruce's voice from behind you, then felt as he wrapped his arms around your waist and placed his lips against your neck. A shiver went down your back and you turned around to hug him.

"As long as you're careful in the future." And he assured you he would be. Together you both decided to take the Saturday off from work and went to spend the day together by long walks, reading and finishing it with a nice bath. By the time you went for bed, Bruce excused himself and told you not to keep yourself waiting. Once he stepped out the dorm you heard Alfred's voice. What was so urgent? Maybe something came up at work...

--

"What's wrong now? More ice?" You asked Alfred as You woke up the next morning beside Bruce, only this time more bruises.

Alfred took a second to reply "I'm unsure as to the cause, Miss Y/N. Perhaps you better ask him yourself."

And that you did. An hour later when he came for breakfast.

He sighed, "I'm sorry. I have told the personal to salt the area in front of the tower. It's just dumb luck I slipped... Twice."

Smiling at his clumsy self you gave him a kiss and poured up coffee to both of you to take with you before heading into town for work. You found no ice in front of the tower.
