Spain walked next to Romano, nither of them spoke and Romano just glared at the floor. Spain wanted to say something but what do you say at a time like this? Its going to be okay? But it didnt seem like that now they were stuck here and everyone was dying. Romano stoped sudenly still looking down at the floor Spain turned to face him.

"Roma?" he said softly

Romanos tears hit the floor making small puddles on the floor that splattered out as they hit the ground. "I dont get it" he whispered.

Spain was quiet. He didn't know what to say. Romano hadn't cried in a long time, he remembered when Romano had been a child sometimes he would just stand there crying, he'd never say why he'd just cry.

"I don't get why he gave his life for him" He said 'him' with such disgust in his voice Spain looked down.

"Cause he loved him..." Spain said softly "when you love someone you do anything for them even if you get hurt.."

Romano looked up. "I don't understand..."

"I didn't expect you to" Spain answered softly.

Romano froze. "what does that mean"

Spain froze realizing what he had just said "nothing.." It was quiet again for a long time as they wallked down the hall together. No one spoke and Romano went  back to glareing at the floor. Spain walked slightly ahead just to make sure that if that thing came back he would be seen first. He didnt know what to say so he just listened th the creaking of the floor tiles as he walked.

suddenly there was a thump. It was soft and seemed like it came from the room to the left. 

"Im gonna go see what that is, okay?"  Spain smiled.

"okay, I'll go too then"

Spain opened the door and walked in Romano following after him. There was a stuffed bunny that looked like it had fallen off a shef, thats what had made the noise. Spain picked it up and put it back. The room looked like it was made for a little girl. The walls we're pink with a light white carpet, a doll house sat in the corner and a huge canopy pink and purple bed was pressed against the wall.

"So then.... people really did live here" Romano said softly. Spain nodded and looked over at the dresser. A slight shine cought his eye and he walked over picking up a key.

"Roma!" he smiled tourning around "I found a key!"

Romano turned around and walked over "Really!?" 

Spain nodded hapily. But the celebration didnt last tong as a growl rang throught the room. Spain stiffened "run" He said quietly as he shoved the key into Romanos hand and pushed him out the doorway closeing the door and locking it. 

"SPAIN" Romano screamed holding the key in his fist. There was a scream of pain then silence, Romano waited tears running down his face. Just one noise that proved Spain was okay.

There was a click and the door unlocked.

Romano shakily put his hand on the knob pushing open the door.
