Everly's Pov

" Liam. My dear nephew. How nice to see you again." his uncle smiles wickedly.

So the coward came out of his hiding.

I see the disgust on Liam's face. I know he's trying to keep his cool seeing as there still is a gun pointed in my direction.

" If only I felt the same way Xavier." Liam growls.

And the bastard has a name. Xavier only laughs at Liam's reply as he starts walking closer. Short after another man enters and his gun is immediately pointed at me. Xavier lowers his gun from me and smiles.

" I believe you have something of mine." Xavier walks over to Liam.

I wonder where Leila is. She's a victim to all of this and so is her baby. I just hope she is okay.

Liam looks as if he's about to kick his head off. It won't even surprise me if Liam is capable of doing such a thing. The way I feel now I'm pretty close to rip Xaviers balls off and feed it to him through his nostrils. Where the hell is Chase and Lucas or even Ryan? I would really appreciate their help right now.

" That's the only way I could've dragged your coward ass over here seeing as you've been hiding behind your gang." Liam takes a step forward.

" Easy Liam. Just one little snap of my fingers and this girl is gone for good." Xavier says as his hand raises.

Liam exhales loudly. He's frustrated. I absolutely hate seeing him like this. He clearly didn't plan this whole thing out but come to think of it, I wasn't supposed to show up.

" You came here for Leila. You can have her. Just leave Everly out of this. She doesn't have anything to do with this. This is between me and you. No one else Xavier." Liam speaks up.

" You made it more complicated when you dragged my daughter into this. " Xavier smiles.

" Look this family gathering has been nice and all but I have a baby to go feed so if you'll excuse me-" I try and take a step forward but the man who is aiming the gun at me growls and I immediately stop.

Xavier starts laughing. After a few seconds it looks like he's about to pass out from the laughter. This guy keeps on getting weirder by the second.

" Is she serious now? Does she- does she really - oh Lord this is hilarious. Where did you pick this one up Liam?" Xavier continues on laughing.

I'm about to jump him when I catch Liam's gaze. He doesn't have to say anything for me to know that it probably won't be the best decision to jump a man that has another guy aiming a gun in my direction.

" Piss off. " I spit out.

" Everly." Liam warns me.

Xavier shares a look with the man holding the gun then he chuckles. Xavier starts walking over to me. Liam is about to step in but Xavier only raises his hand. He comes to a stop right in front of me. His hand brushes my cheek softly. I struggle to keep the barf noises in as his eyes travel over my body.

" She sure is beautiful." he whispers.

Trust me. No girl wants to be complimented in such a situation. It's sickening.

Xavier turns over to the man holding the gun. " She's quite the catch and she has a strong personality. Don't you think she'll be perfect for a new prostitute? I'm getting tired of the old ones. I need some new flesh."

I can't help the barf noise. Luckily he didn't hear me. " You wouldn't fucking dare." Liam growls.

Xavier exhales as he looks at Liam" Take her." Xavier orders. The man starts walking over to me and I back away.

" NO!" I yell.

I'm not sure what got over me but I immediately jump for the gun that Liam has lowered. Both Xavier and the man are shocked by my sudden movement so it gives me a chance to grab the gun and aim it at the man. Without hesitation I pull the trigger and soon enough the bullets makes clear contact with the man's head. He falls down in front of me as blood starts coming out of his head. The sight of the now dead man frightens me to the core. I didn't notice that he also got the chance to pull the trigger as I feel the pain in my upper left leg. I look down at it to see it covered in blood. Oh God I think I'm going to pass out.

I cry out in pain as I see Xavier aim his gun at me. Before he has a chance to shoot he is tackled down by Liam. I freeze. I'm not able to do anything. The pain in my upper leg is unimaginable. I watch as Liam starts punching at Xavier but Xavier blocks every incoming punch. I lift Liam's gun ready to shoot the hell out of him but with my luck there are no bullets left. I'm not surprised because I did just shoot about 5 bullets into the man's head. Liam manages to get a few proper punches in but soon enough Xavier is on top of him. Liam is getting tired as he takes the incoming punches. I gulp. How can I be so useless? In front of me is a man who is literally sacrificing his life to save mine and I can't do a single thing.

My eye immediately catch the sight of Xavier's gun in the corner. Bingo. I struggle to lift my leg. Since when has my leg been this heavy? I suck in my breath as I roll over onto my side so that my leg doesn't make contact with the floor. Fuck it hurts. Slowly I start to use the last strength in my arms to pull me over to the gun. I turn around to see Liam on top of Xavier now. Xavier also looks exhausted but he still blocks the incoming punches. I release the breath I was holding in as my finger tips touches the gun. I quickly pull it closer to me. I roll over onto my back. I struggle to get up onto one leg but once I'm up the gun is immediately aimed at Xavier.

" STOP!" I yell. I catch both of their attention as they stop. Liam's eyes grow wide as he notices the gun in my hand. Xavier also looks surprised.

" Get the hell away from him." I growl. Xavier starts moving away with a disgusted look on his face.

Just shoot him. Do it now. My subconscious encourages me. My finger hovers over the trigger but it doesn't seem to add the extra force it needs for the bullet to be fired. I guess it's because I actually have the time to look over at Xaviers face. He doesn't look scared but his eyes have deepend. Something about his eyes makes it more difficult for me to shoot.

" Everly just shoot him!" Liam yells.

I jump from his sudden order. Damn it! Why can't I just shoot him already. I look over to Xavier again. This man has taken so much of Liam's life. His father. His mother's trust. His reputation. His humanity. I'm not God so I don't get to decide who lives and who dies but if I don't shoot this man now he will kill all of us. I close my eyes as all noises die down around me. It's a way for me to gain more focus and strength to actually kill another guy. Suddenly I feel the tip of a gun being pressed into my back. All sounds come back as I hear Liam's yell.

My eyes fly open and I jump back. With the sudden action I fall down to the floor in pain. My leg is soaked in blood. With all that's happening I still have a steady grip on the gun. I immediately lift it up to the person who also has his gun aimed at me.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." I breath out.

The person standing in front of me is someone I never expected to see. Especially with a gun aimed at me. My hand looses it's grip on the gun from the shock. Once again all noise die down as I take in the person standing in front of me. I'm snapped back to reality as the gun hits the floor.

I immediately reach for it but my hand is pressed down by his foot making it difficult for me to move it. I gulp and look up at the person.

" Blake?"

Guess who's back, back again 😏 I know I've been MIA for a long time now but it's only because I've been away on holiday 😬 but I'm back now.
