"Good morning deputy head girl," the students and teachers responded.

"I'm just here to inform you guys that school will be dismissed at 12 today and this will be our last day in school until the 17th," I announced.

Murmurs and whispers erupted in the congregation from the excited audience aka the students. I'm just waiting until they are finished so I could continue cause mi Naah strain my voice, dis a nuh my job.

When there was complete silence I continued "our end of term report day will be on Tuesday the 18th, so all who only come here only come tek up space unuh better start pray from now."

"With that being said, I'm going to ask you to form single file lines please so I could send you off to your classes," I spoke.

"Grade 8, lead off," I instructed.

"9 and 11, you may go as well."

After they abided to my rules I sent them off.

The grade 12's and 13's stayed and waited for me then we made our lines and went to our form classes.

When we reached at the gas station in the square, I was about to call him, but then Daniel and his friend walked up to us.

I didn't even get to hear his response cause all of a sudden a figure came in front of me, blocking the sun. He was dressed in a white AMIRI shirt, AMIRI pants and a black desert clarks. Mi Naah fi look up fi know a who.

"Kayla," I pointed at her, "and she, Danay." I pointed at her.

I was about to ask him to repeat that cause mi nuh sure if mi hear good but it nuh look like him Ina no good mood so mi Lowe it.

Kayla and Danay got in the back while I got in the front.

When he was about to pull off, he looked over at me and opened his mouth then shut it. He leaned over and fastened my seatbelt before reversing and pulling off.

"Pinky, " Kayla called and I looked around at her. She pointed at the kfc bag in her hand and I got the memo.

I turned back around and after a little while I asked him, " we can eat in here?"

"Mhm mmm," he replied.

"Eeee?" I asked.

"Yah," he brought up all the windows and turned the AC on.

I chuckled at the messages before responding to her and telling her what style we had in mind. She said she could do it tomorrow and what amount of braid we should buy.

After I finished talking to her, I gave Tyreek his phone and whispered a thank you. Him could a gwaan nonchalant some more, him care.

When he reached my house and parked we all told Tyreek thanks for bringing us.

"Respect man, Ina ih morrows." He replied before looking at me and saying " stop ramp wid mi."

Mi deeven bother ask what mi do, mi just come out and close the door then the three of us walked towards the gate.

"Girl spill," Danay said.

"Wait when mi go in," I told her. "Call back yuh mother and tell her that yuh reach."
