Seven Minutes in Heaven 🌹

Kirishima POV

It was no secret amongst class 1-A that I had a huge crush on Bakugou. The only person who hadn't noticed was Bakugou himself.

I was so tired of keeping these feelings pent up and I needed to tell him, but I was scared. There were so many things that could go wrong.

I was talking with Mina, Sero and Kaminari about what I could do. Kaminari, helpful as always, said, "I dunno man, just, like, tell him?" I glared at him, clearly unamused.

"'Just tell him?' That's a horrible idea! What if he doesn't feel the same way and he never wants to speak to me again because he thinks I'm obsessive and weird?"

Mina put a hand on my shoulder and squeezed reassuringly. "Kirishima, why don't you leave this to me? I'll figure out a way for you to confess to him." I raised a sceptical eyebrow, but eventually gave in to her enthusiastic suggestion.Β

"Fine. But you don't tell him anything unless I say you can, alright?" She nodded excitedly and ran off to go scheme.

What did I just get myself into?

Mina POV

Kirishima needs a nudge in the right direction, which I am more than happy to provide. All I have to do is force him and Bakugou into a typically romantic setting. Then, they'll think about how couple-y they're being, which will make them more open to talk about being couple-y, which will lead to them being a couple.

It sounds far fetched when it's phrased like that, but soon enough it will all work out.

I went to Hagakure's room, knowing the perfect plan that would rely on her quirk. By the end of the week, Bakugou and Kirishima would be together. That was my goal and I was willing to work to achieve it.

When I met up with Hagakure, I explained my brilliant plan to her. It was simple: a game of seven minutes in heaven. We'd have Kirishima spin a bottle to determine who he would be with. That's when Hagakure would use her quirk and move the bottle to guarantee that Kirishima is with Bakugou.

We leave the two of them in the closet, maybe for more than seven minutes because there'd be no way for them to know how long it's been.

They go in as friends, leave as boyfriends. As long as Kirishima doesn't do anything stupid, it'll work out.

I was certain that Bakugou had a crush on Kirishima too. After all, there was nobody else that could get Bakugou to calm down or wear a tie properly. Plus, whenever he was upset, he went to Kirishima and talked about his feelings, which was a rare occurrence for Bakugou.

Hagakure and I worked out the details of our plan. Soon enough, everything had been decided. We'd invite the entire class to play in two days and we'd tell everyone the reason for the game. Since the entire class shipped Kirishima and Bakugou, there was no doubt that they'd go along.

Everything was worked out. All that was left was for Hagakure and I to send all the invites via text.

Kirishima POV

I just got a text from Mina, saying that the class was going to play a game of seven minutes in heaven in the common room. Her text ended with ";)" so I figured that this was a plan of hers. My only hope was that it would work.

I was so tired of pretending that I didn't have feelings for Bakugou. I wanted to be around him all the time and one time when he was putting chapstick on his perfect lips, I thought I was going to pass out. Everything about him was enchanting, he was my very own Prince Charming.

Mina's text said the game was starting soon so I fixed my hair quickly, grabbed a piece of gum (just in case) and went downstairs to meet up with the rest of the class.

When I got there, people were still showing up. A lot of them made weird faces at me. Todoroki had this weird smirk, like he knew something I didn't. I ignored everyone and sat down next to Kaminari, waiting for the rest of the class to get there.

Eventually, everyone was there except Bakugou. We all sat quietly, waiting for him to show up. Mina looked nervously at everyone else, like she was wondering if he would show.

Finally, he walked into the common room and I could hear everyone let out a quiet sigh of relief.

"Why the fuck do you want to play this stupid game so bad? Can I be excluded from this?" Bakugou complained, but Mina pointed angrily to an open seat, clearly wanting him to sit down. Said seat happened to be to the left of Midoriya, which Bakugou didn't look happy about, but he complied.

Mina smiled gleefully when everybody was sitting down. "Alright," She said, "now that we've got everyone, why don't we kick this thing off? Who wants to go first?" After saying that, nobody answered and she looked at me.

I took the hint and raised my hand up. "I'll go first?" It came out as a question, but Mina smiled and nodded.

"Great! So, Kirishima, just spin the bottle and see who you get!"

Bakugou rolled his eyes as I took the bottle from Mina's hands. "Oi, Kirishima, why are you volunteering for this shit?"

"Uh, I dunno. Maybe it'll be fun?" I laughed nervously, but tried to make it sound natural. I put the bottle on the ground in the middle of our circle and looked at Mina, who nodded, encouraging me to continue.

I spun the bottle and waited to see who it would land on. My heart pounded furiously as I wished for it to land on Bakugou, just to be alone with him for those few minutes, so close together that we couldn't possibly avoid making contact.

The bottle slowed down, until it had almost stopped moving. It was stopping right near Bakugou! It slowed more and more until it halted, but it was mere inches away from landing in front of Bakugou. Instead, it stopped at Midoriya's feet.

Or so I thought. It shifted over just a tiny bit more, to be facing Bakugou directly. Everyone in the class exchanged knowing looks as Mina practically yelled out, "Alright Bakugou, you and Kirishima gotta get in there for seven minutes!" She dragged me by the arm to the nearest closet, which was tiny. So tiny, in fact, that my chest would probably be touching Bakugou's the whole time. I started to blush just thinking about it.

Bakugou, looking a bit confused got up and went towards the closet saying nothing. I thought I saw a slight blush dancing across his cheeks, but I wrote it off as my imagination.

We both entered the closet, being even closer than I previously predicted. "Alright you two, I'm starting the timer!" Mina closed the door and we were left in the darkness, silence hanging over us.

I wanted to say something, but I was so distracted by Bakugou, who's body was being pressed against mine due to the small floor space of the closet. I was incredibly grateful that it was dark, because if it wasn't, he would've been able to see my face that I was sure was bright red at that point.

I shifted awkwardly, trying to give Bakugou some more space. I considered sitting on the floor, but there wasn't enough room for that either. I ended up pushing myself hard against the wall behind me, turning my body away from Bakugou a bit, when I felt him grasp my shoulder firmly.

He moved me so that I was facing him directly and I was leaning more on him than the wall. "Um, Bakugou, what are you doing?"

"You looked uncomfortable against the wall."

"Oh, um, okay... thanks." I was so close, I could smell the nitroglycerin on his skin, making him smell like caramel.

Wait, why was he sweating?

I relaxed a little bit, leaning into him a bit more, trying not to be so awkward about it. His hand, which I'd forgotten was still on my shoulder, moved to my back and kept me pressed against him. I leaned into the hug-like embrace, putting my head in the crook of his neck. The sugary smell was even stronger there.

I felt his lips press against my cheek and I froze, unsure of what to do. My entire body tensed up, which he definitely felt. "Oh, Kirishima, I'm sorry. I just thought that, um, you'd be cool with it because, y'know, we're kinda... like, umm-"

I cut him off, pressing my lips to his lightly, testing the water. He wasted no time kissing me back, lips moving in synch with mine. The kiss was slow and passionate, like we'd both been waiting a long time for it. I reached my hands up to hold his face as I deepened the kiss, wanting more.

Eventually, we pulled away, gasping for air.

"Bakugou?"

"Yeah?"

"...will you go out with me?"

"... I literally just had my tongue in your mouth, you idiot. What do you think?"
