Priscilla could feel her eyelids getting heavy. Her head spun and her mind began blank as the brink of darkness took over.

"Yo," Rue spoke, poking the girl awake, "nah, you're not falling asleep yet."

"Rue," Priscilla groaned, rolling over on the floor.

Rue sat up from the bed, stepping over her best friend, who was sprawled out on the carpeted floor.

"Well, we just have to celebrate now," the curly-headed girl turned on the lava lamp on the dresser before standing up.

"I kind of just want to take a nap," Priscilla chuckled, watching Rue dig through her underwear drawer.

"You just lost your virginity and you want to take a nap? Fuck that," Rue pulled out a small plastic bag, holding it up in the air as she waved it back and forth.

"Oh no," Priscilla sat up, crossing her legs underneath her.

"Oh yes," the brunette laughed menacingly, joining her friend and sitting across from her.

"You told me after New Year's, no more," Priscilla scolded, truly disappointed.

Rue rolled her eyes, "Oh, come on, it's left overs from Elliot's, I swear. After this, I'm done, only weed."

Priscilla shook her head, knowing that Rue was probably lying to her, but not having the energy to be the mom-friend at the moment.

"What is it?" She questioned, watching Rue open and then toss the bag.

"It's just Molly, you've done it before right?"

"Yeah, then I became a horned up monster," the blonde referred to the night of the carnival.

"Well," Rue grabbed a half empty water bottle to her left, "this is a different percentage of MDMA, plus I'm going to dilute it for you, so it won't be as strong."

"I don't know, Rue."

Priscilla thought about the conversation she had with Fezco earlier, how he warned her about staying true to herself. Priscilla didn't realize how easily accessible drugs were to her until now, how much she had done in the past year. His voice kept playing in her mind.

"Come on," her friend encouraged, pouring the powdered drug into the water, shaking the bottle, "plus, I have some fucking tea I've been dying to tell somebody."

The girl opened the bottle, taking a sip before sitting it in front of Priscilla, "I think Cassie's fucking Nate."

Priscilla gasped, her eyes practically bulging out of her skull, "What?!"

"Yup!"

"No fucking way."

"Yes fucking way," Rue mimicked the girl's genuine shock, "Saw it with my own eyes."

"You saw them fucking?!" Priscilla questioned, not realizing it but she was reaching for the water bottle.

"Well, technically no, but- I just know. I see her sneak out to see him almost every night."

Priscilla practically choked on the water, coughing as it went down her throat, "That's fucking insane. And you're absolutely sure it was Nate?"

"It was literally Nate, it was him. His truck and everything."

"This explains so much," the blonde shook her head, taking another sip, "so fucking much."

"I'm going to pretend like I know what that means," Rue chuckled, finishing the rest.

Priscilla began to explain the situation, "Bro, Cassie has been so weird and MIA lately. Maddy would fucking flip. Like, she was literally talking about getting back together with that motherfucker."

"Well, I'm not saying shit."

"I would want to know," Priscilla simply replied. Her and Maddy had gotten extremely close over the past couple of weeks. She knew of Maddy's toxic history with Nate, how close her and Cassie supposedly were, the news would crush her.

"You did not hear that shit from me, okay?" Rue pointed a finger at Priscilla, waving it around, "I want nooo part in all of that fucking drama."

"Fine, fine, but what the actual fuck?"

"Right?" Rue shook her head in disgust. "Anyway," Priscilla placed her elbows on her thighs as she leaned forward, "now that we've gotten that out of the way, what's been up with you?"

"Literally nothing," Rue shrugged, impulsively pulling the strains of carpet out of the ground, "Jules and school, school and Jules. Damn, that nap actually doesn't sound like a horrible idea."

"Why don't we do something tomorrow? I feel like we haven't properly hung out in forever," Priscilla smiled, "oh! Why don't we hit up Smallhaven? We haven't been done there in years."

"I can't," the girl groaned as she stood up. She went back into the same underwear drawer, digging out an old pill bottle.

Priscilla's eyebrows raised as she watched Rue snake out one of the blue pills. The brunette tilted her head back, making a face as she swallowed. "Um, why not?"

"I have to help Lexi with her play."

Priscilla rolled her eyes at the mention of Lexi's name. She kept picturing her clueless face at the gas station, dying to impress Fezco.

"She's putting on a play?" The girl snorted.

"Yeah, in about two weeks, she's been writing it for a while. I'm surprised Fez didn't tell you about it."

Rue shuffled some clothes on top of the bottom of the drawer before shutting it, due to her sudden slowness and the squint in her eyes, Priscilla could tell the drugs were beginning to kick in.

"Why would he know anything about some crappy play?" Priscilla got up from the floor, joining Rue as she sat down on the edge of the bed.

As Rue laid on her back, Priscilla knew better to shift her onto her side.

"Because they've been talking about it?" Rue's eyes began to flutter, her arm behind her head as she looked up at Priscilla, "Mm, you have that pretty 'I just had sex' glow."

"Rue, what do you mean 'they'? 'They', who?"

"Fez and Lexi, they've been texting, I guess. She told me he was coming."

Priscilla couldn't even begin to describe the emotion she was feeling right now. How much her heart began to physically ache at the news. Her stomach began to burn, her gut firing back at her. It had told her a million times over that something was wrong and Priscilla just did not listen.

She felt so stupid.

Two hours ago, her virginity had just been taken by the same person who had lied to her. Lied to her about another woman, someone he claimed he had no connection to. She shared her body with him. Her most vulnerable moment with someone who could so easily deceive her.

She felt so fucking stupid.

Priscilla cleared her throat, her throat burning hot as she struggled not to cry, "Rue."

"Rue," she repeated, her voice serious.

"Yeah?" Rue's eyes were shut as she struggled to keep herself awake for Priscilla's sake.

"What else did she say?"

Priscilla's mind was running wild as all of her past insecurities and worries began to manifest into her life. The girl tried her hardest to fight her anger for everyone, especially for an under the influence Rue, for not telling her this sooner.

"I don't know, man."

"It's important, Rue."

"Um," Rue coughed, her brown orbs still closed as her words began to slur, "I-I don't know, I guess you guys were broken up at the time. They, um, hung out and shit. She said they watched a movie."

"What else?" Priscilla pressed but it was clear Rue was down for the count.

"Hm," was all she could make out before falling into the dark abyss.
