Late for school (again)

Hey guys :)

So before you wattpadians (we are our own species) read this latest chapter I just want to state a few rules:

1. I would just like to confirm that this book is my own work so don't copy it. So to sound more professional: All Rights Reserved.

Yeah I know... That sounded so professional 0.o

But seriously this book contains material protection by the international and Federal copy of write laws and treaties.©

So to put it in simpler terms: If you copy my book I will find out were you live and chuck low fat bagels at your windows.

I'm kidding.... If I'm going to throw bagels at your window, it will be full fatness. Just for you.

2.Try to keep the swearing to a minimum. I know the temptation but for the children of the world's sake... let's just not.

3. This isn't really a rule, it's kind of a heads up. I'm from Australia so my spelling will most definitely be slightly different to yours. So can you not go all rage with the spelling in the comments.

For every chapter there will be a new song, because I want you guys to know what kind of music Alex likes to listen to.

Thanks!

Enjoy the new chapter :)
______________________________________

I walked along the old, uneven rocky pathway, taking in my surroundings. The birds were chirping around me and the smell of pine trees that were on either side of the path filled my nose. Everything was so calm and peaceful. Usually I loved taking this way to school, I felt at one with nature. But today, not so much. Someone has been following me for the last two minutes and twenty-three seconds.

I took another quick glance behind me and saw what looked like a man in his early twenties with a slightly too big of a coat, mud on his boots and a determined expression on his face. The painfully thin stranger walked swiftly but quietly about 20 meters away from me. But the thing that surprised me was how unnaturally pale his skin was, he looked exactly like a walking piece of paper.

I only had about 12 minutes of walking left until I reached my school. I was only just going to make it on time to school as it was and I could not be late again. I've been late for school every day this week and I sware Mr. Panell's vain was going to pop out of his balding head if he continued yelling at me. I think in the third grade I even named his vein 'Steeve' with the amount of times I've been late for school.

I had to loose this stranger as well as get to school on time; So I went through a quick strategy in my head that fitted my time frame. I reached the conclusion that I would walk for exactly 2 minuets and 23 seconds until I got to the ally way behind the bakery, turn left into ''Farell Street." Then round the corner to Mr Franklinton house. Mr Franklinton was a sweet 89 year old man that refused to go to the nursing home and i'm pretty sure he cared about his garden and his pants more then his own life. Then finally finish the run off by making a right into the school gates of ''Harvey Academy Private School''.

I looked at my watch again, the quicker I started my plan, the earlier I would be for school and the less chance i'll see 'Steeve'.

I quickly looked at the pale stranger who seriously was a spitting image of Voldemort behind me and this time he saw me. The stranger stopped abruptly and suddenly became very interested in the ground, to make it look less suspicious he pretended to pick something up on the pathway. In doing that small move, the coat he was wearing parted from his body and showed a gun strapped securely around his hips. He felt my eyes on him and looked up with his gray lifeless eyes and gave me a cold glare. In that moment I knew he wasn't some hobo that coincidentally saw me and just wanted my money, he was assigned here, he had a gun. This was definitely not the time to "go meet him and become friends" as my mother would say, because "apparently" I needed some. Who needs friends anyway.... besides I've got Voldemort to keep me company for a while.

Voldemort was still burning holes into me with his stare, why wasn't he chasing me? I really didn't blame him for not chasing me though, he looks completely out of shape, to the point where I don't think he's ever seen a gym, or a single bit of fat on himself. Knowing that we couldn't just stare at each other the whole day, I decided to take advantage of his stare down.

"Hey, hey you over there." I shouted whilst waving my hand frantically. We stood 15 meters apart.

He stood up to his full height, confusion written all over his face. He looks behind himself and then points to himself. He turned to face me again and mouths the word "me?"

"Yeah, you Voldemort. Do you see my hand moving too and froe." Whilst saying this I moved my hand left and right to words 'too' and 'froe' dramatically.

He didn't answer so I continued talking. "Why are armed with a gun and not a wand?"

He gave me a bored expression.

"I mean yeah sure a gun is alright but a wand looks so much cooler, don't you think? With a gun you can just blow my brains out but with a wand you can-

Suddenly he wiped the gun from his belt and fired it at the tree behind me which just so happened to be about 10 cm from my head. The noise hurt my ears and caused them to start ringing faintly. The forest went deadly silent, as if all the life hiding in the forest was anticipating the attackers next move.

I gave him a bored expression, completely unfased by what he had done.

"Excuse me but I hadn't finished talking yet. That was really rude!" I spat at him. The stranger just stared at me, surprised.

"So as I was saying before you rudely interrupted me." I cleared my throat loudly and flipped my strawberry blond hair over my shoulder, resuming my speech. "With a wand it's so much more impressive. For example if you had a gun, instead of shooting me, which by the way is a really sucky way to die and you really need to work on your creativity skills. You could wip out you wand out with a super cool bad guy entrance and summon the spell 'imperio' and make me eat the tree to death. See that's an original way to die." I cleared my throat and closed my eyes visulising it.

                                       "R.I.P

                        Alexandra McGreggor

Died of to much intake of tree

              Her death was incredibly awesome"

" Yup I've decided that's how I wonna go, mother nature would be so proud of me." I gasped

"Wait what if she's mad at me for eating one of her trees".

I got to my nees and put my hands together in a prayer position.

"Oh great and powerful mother nature, I am deeply and truly sorry for even thinking of eating one of your trees, please forgive me, it was Voldemort's idea I sware. Please don't turn me into a tree."

"Do you ever stop talking?" A harsh voice behind me said.

Voldemort was standing there looking absolutely exasperated. He was taking deep breaths trying to calm himself down.

"Oh hey... I forgot you were here, what's up?" I chuckled lightly.

"I'll show you what's up." He lifted the gun he was holding and pulled the trigger again.

BANG!

I felt a whoosh of wind on my arm and a twinge of pain. I looked at my arm to see a slice in my jacket and a deep cut where the gun had taken a chunk out of my arm. Blood was slowly starting to make it's was to the surface of my skin. He hadn't shot me, the bullet just skimmed above my arm taking several layers of skin with it. My blood was boiling by this point, I was furious. I really liked this jacket.

"You have no idea how much I want to drop you in a volcano right now, I loved this jacket!" I shouted at him.

He just glared at me. "Look we either do this the easy way or the hard way, come with me and I won't kill you. Simple."

"See as much as I love that offer, I kind of have a history essay to hand in and Steeve doesn't like it when I'm late. But we can totally hang out next time if you want." I replied casually.

"Looks like it's the hard way."

"Wait wait wait, before we do this hold on a sec." I said whilst pulling out my ipod and changing the song to 'Good Feeling' by Flo Rida. I looked up to see Voldi looking impatient.

As if we were thinking the same thing, he ran straight towards me, I turned around so fast and sprinted towards the end of the rocky pathway.

I ran as fast as I could not wanting to underestimate Voldemort. I reached "Farell Street" not even breaking a sweat, whereas Voldemort looked like he was about to cough up a lunge. He ran really strangely as well, he took 1 meter steps whilst flapping his arms out like an idiot. I rounded the corner where Mr Franklinton was gleefully watering his garden with bright red fluorescent skinny jeans on.

I slowed down into a light jog knowing that "the walking piece of paper" would take a while to catch up to me.

"Morning Mr Franklinton." I polightfully greeted.

"Mornin Ms. McGreggor, like ma pants got em from that hot new teen clothes store." he said smugly.

After living on this street my whole life and trying as hard as I could to try and explain to Mr Franklinton that nobody dresses like what he wears these days, he never listened. He was convinced that he was fitting in with my generation with his random fashion decisions. I finally gave up persuading him one day when he asked me to create a Facebook account for him. "Yeah there totally your colour" I replied.

"Oh why thank you, oh wait before I foget I have those lilies that your mum asked for. Wait right there I'll go get em, or as you young people say BRB." He chuckled and went inside mumbling BRB to himself.

"He has no hope" I sighed.

A soon as Mr Franklinton was out of sight I felt someones bony hand on my shoulder. The mystery person shoved me to the ground, I winced when I landed on the shoulder that had been shot. I looked up and saw the one and only Voldemort and sure enough he had a gun pointed at my head.

"Really... what's with the gun? You didn't listen to anything I said did you".

He just continued burning holes into me with his eyes.

I sighed "Okay okay, I could do with some exercise" I yawned.

I extended my leg and swung it round until it made contact with the back of his leg, making him fall. I lifted both my legs up and sprung from the ground so I lifted myself up in a standing position.

I looked down to see Voldemort trying to reach his gun. I turned around to where the gun was and flicked it with my foot and caught it with ease. I released all the bullets out with one hand and chucked it on Mr Franklinton's lawn.

When I turned around I was punched square in the face, staggering back a bit I did a backflip hopefully trying to confuse him. When I landed I round house kicked him in the face and then grabbed his neck between my shoulder and fore arm, trying to cut off his air supply.

"I just can't seem to find it, where the hell is it" I heard mumbling coming from Mr Franklinton's yard. The gate swung open showing Mr Franklinton in his bright red pants looking frustrated.

"Alex dear have you seen my keys for the shed, because I can't seem to fin-" he looked up to see me "supposedly" putting my arm around the stranger in a friendly gesture but in real truth I was strangling him.

"Oh hey Frank... um this is my friend Voldemort.  Voldemort this is Mr Franklinton.

"Can this be, does Alex have a friend" Mr Franklinton said hopefully. Then Voldemort made a stranged yelp. "Is he ok... why is he turning purple."

"Oh that, yeah um Voldi has a stomach ache, I was just taking him home" I lied smoothly.

"Oh ok, anyways I can't seem to find them darn keys to the shed so I can get your mums lilies" he spun round in a full circle. "Wait is that them" he crouched down and looked in between his large hedge.

I took advantage of this time and wanted answers from Voldemort. I shoved him to the ground banging his head on the concrete in the process; put my fore arm to his throat and stepped each of my feet on his arms so he couldn't escape. "Why the heck were you following me" I asked.

"I believe that is classified information" he replied a bit dazed. I pushed my hand harder against his throat, so now he was gasping for air.

"Tell me or I sware to god I will personally crawl through the depths of tartarus, grab the elder wand and slap you senseless with it until you tell me".

He was gritting his teeth and still continuing to glare at me, he gave up and turned his head to the side.

I stopped looking at him and focused on the large tattoo on the side of his neck.

"A.S.S"  I said out loud. The last "S" had been looped round and made the shape of a large reptile. A snake.

"Why the heck you have the word "Ass"  on your neck?"

"For the one hundreds time. It is an acronym. Do you know how many people have laughed at me for that one freaking word-"

"Shut up! I don't won't to hear your complaining, just tell me what it means".

He returned looking at my eyes, and for once I actually saw some emotion in them. Fear.

"I-I... I'm not supposed to tell you, do you know what they would do to me if I told you." I almost felt bad for him, but it was his fault he got involved with those types of people.

I hadn't realised I had loosened my hold on him; he grabbed my arm causing me to loose balance.  He stood up from the ground and twisted my arm it the air, I hissed in pain when I felt a crunch in my shoulder.

"Your just full of surprises aren't you Voldi".

"Look kid, they told me to kidnap you. I don't really see the point, you'r no threat to the system like the boss has been saying... I mean look at you. Your what? 15 or 16?

Now this was the thing that annoyed me the most about my job, all of my opponents underestimated me. I knew I was small and I looked young so over the years of training and missions I learned to take advantage of what they thought of me. I was fast in combat, they never see me coming.

I mustered all of the frustration I felt and flicked my leg up until it made contact with his groin he release me from his grip, hissing in pain. He was vulnerable right now so and punched his face and then kneed him in the stomach. He doubled over with pain. There was nearby light post next to me so I grabbed it, swung around and kicked him in the head. He hit the concrete face first unconscious.

"Yup I am 16, but guess who just beat your ass".

I started my victory dance which consisted of some tweaking, the sprinkler and to finish it off some light crumping. I took out my phone and dialed "1529" to inform the agency to pick up Voldemort and send him to headquarters to be questioned.

I spun around whilst still dancing and abruptly stopped when I saw Mr Franklinton with wide eyes, mouth open and holding a leaking hose. He had seen the whole thing. I silently scolded myself, you idiot! I thought.

"Bye Mr Franklinton" I said nervously while waving and speed walking away.

He held up one hand in a casual gesture but his face was still shocked.  He shook his head forcefully mumbling "Maybe I should have gone  to that Nursery home, seeing things again".

I shook my head at the interesting turn of events. Afraid to look at my watch knowing that I'll be late I sprinted in the direction of my school, I took a right and ran as fast as I could  into the gates of Harvey Academy, sprinting up the stairs and finally I opened the door.

My hands on my knees I started panting heavily due to the fact I'm pretty sure I just ran 4 km and my shoulder wasn't exactly helping. I heard someone clear their thoat in front of me.

Please don't be him, please please I chanted in my head.

I looked up and to see an old man, with a bright red face looking like he would like nothing than to see me burn in a volcano. But the most noticeable feature on his round face was a large vein running vertically downwards next to his right eye. It was the one and only... Steeve.

"Ms. McGreggor! Your coming with me" He yelled.

And that ladies and gentlemen was how my average day started in my average life as an average teenager.
