Nate had a sick obsession with Maddy. After he saw her for the first time in a gentleman's club, his desire to own her grew. Maddy was a stripper, and she was used to seeing the males yearn for her in the most lasciviousness way possible. But when she noticed a particular client stalk her whenever her shift was over; she became concerned. Even more when one night Nate approached her, and asked her to be his girlfriend.

She refused, and he left fumingly out of the parking lot. Maddy that day was terrified, and made sure to let the bouncers of the club known to never let him inside the establishment ever again.

If only she knew, that night was going to change her life forever.

When Maddy parked her car on the driveway of her house, as she stepped out, a furious Nate approached and sprayed her some acid on her eyes.

That was the last time she was ever going to see color.

Nate was going to be the last thing she would ever see.

She screamed, asking for help as her eyes burned in pain.

Next day, she was laying on the hospital cot, eyes covered with a bandage. She could hear the heartbeat machine beep at her side, and a few voices talking outside the room.

When you finished talking to Maddy's sister, you came inside.

" Good morning, Maddy, " You greeted, taking a seat at the side of the cot. " How are you feeling?"

" Confused. Can I get this bandage off of me, please?," Maddy asked, pointing at the cotton gauze she had covering her delicate eyes.

You nodded at her request. " Of course, I can. But before that, let me introduce myself. My name is Y/n Fields. I was the surgeon that took care of you yesterday," You began and Maddy cut you off.

" Okay, but like-can I take them off?," Maddy questioned once again, taking her hands towards her eyes to remove it herself. " You can't introduce yourself when I can't see you. "

You quickly took her hand, and gently pushed it back down. " Maddy, I need you to be prepared before I can take them off of you."

" What do you mean? What's wrong with my eyes?," She sounded concerned.

" Your cornea was severed damaged. The chemicals your eyes were exposed to really injured the optic nerve," You explained as softly as possible. You knew this was bad news for the petite. " Maddy, I tried the best I could. but unfortunately, the damage it's irreversible. "

Her chest began to heave up and down, a sudden panic attack creeping up on her. " No...what do you mean?"

You took a deep breath, gently unwrapping the bandage out from her head.

Once she flicked her eyes open, she became terrified. " Doctor, why can't I see?! What's going on?!," Maddy yelled with horror, bringing her hands to her eyes. " Why?! Y/n, why can't I see?!"

One of the worst moments a surgeon could go through, was when the patient's procedure couldn't be achieved. When the surgery couldn't be succeeded no matter how much they tried.

You did your best, but her eyes forfeited the battle the moment she stepped on the hospital.

They were gone, and your assistants that were in the surgery room with you, patted your back trying to console you.

You felt bad. You knew her life was not going to be the same ever again.

She was young. She looked around your age, and you could just imagine yourself in her place.

Now, disclosing this to her, was harder than the surgery itself. You needed to be strong and professional about it.

But who knew that after this encounter with Maddy, was going to change your life too?

When a horrible accident would bring two souls together.

Destiny working at its finest.

While adapting to her new life, you were going to be there by her side.

Helping her see color, in the darkness an evil human has brought to her.
