Even though Maddy was dating Nate Jacobs, she still had a crush on you. You had a magnetic energy, a charming way of expressing yourself that she couldn't help, but be drawn into. She thought maybe she just admired you. But as time passed, and Maddy got to know you even more, she realized the emotions for you were deeper than just a " crush ". She was falling for you.

That's why when she saw you pass by the school hallway, without noticing her presence, she immediately felt her heart sink.

" Who is that girl Y/n is with?," Maddy curiously asked. She liked the attention you gave her in school. And the only reason why she was dressing to impress, was so you could notice. She wasn't doing it for Nate; like he thought so. She was doing it for you. She wanted you to look at her. That's why when you passed by her with a girl she's never seen before, Maddy felt shattered.

" New student, boo. She's touring her around," the friend replied.

" Oh. Okay..," she causally responded, but deep down she sighed in relief.
