Alexa Demie Interview

this is an interview with Alexa Demie in regards to the last one-shot I wrote called 'Ocean'. There's a few scenes that are not written on the one-shot that she speaks about, but it's only because it's on Maddy's POV.

Alexa Demie was doing an interview regards to the latest film she did with you called ' Ocean.'

The box office did pretty well in theaters, and every interviewer wanted to do a press conference in relation to the film.

Interviewer: Alexa, your character as Maddy was very interesting to watch. From the very beginning of the film, we got to see her struggle with Nate's relationship, and the fact that she was pregnant at such a young age. How did you felt portraying Maddy?

Alexa: It felt relatable. You know, Maddy was afraid of being pregnant, and having to raise a child by herself. Nate wanted her to abort it, but she refused. I mean, it was her body-her choice. And, in the real world, I know there's a lot of women out there going through the same thing like her. So I definitely emphasized, and really gave my best into portraying Maddy.

The interviewer nods.

Interviewer: How about working with Y/n? You two expressed so much chemistry on the movie; that it made me cry, laugh, and definitely cry again! How you two were able to captivate the audience with the scenes? Did you guys spend a lot of time together off-set to practice each other's characters before filming?

Alexa: It's funny because I was cast last. I mean, I only had one week prior to get to know Y/n and get the chemistry going for the film * she giggles* but it wasn't hard, because we clicked so well. Like, when we started to shoot the scenes and all of that, I knew we were doing great. She was very professional about it, and absolutely a sweetheart. I loved working with her.

In regards to shooting the scenes in this movie, they were just so painful to act it out. Even when the director would shout Cut! I was still shaking and crying.

Like, I definitely felt the pain our characters were going through. So it wasn't hard to show those emotions on screen. Like, has much as the audience was captivated by them, so was I. The scenes were definitely painful.

Interviewer: The end scene. Let's talk about that one in specific. When I saw that plot twist, I definitely was taken aback! How did you felt shooting that scene?

Alexa: It was very emotional to be completely honest. Like, I know a lot of people didn't expect it...

Interviewer: Like me!

Alexa chuckles.

Alexa: But it was definitely very sad. When Maddy was in the ambulance on her way to the hospital, she was already gone. And, in that scene I wasn't supposed to cry. But, the emotions got the best of me, that I ended up tearing a bit during that scene; that the director left it there on the final draft. That's why the camera man really focused on my face, because it was like Maddy was still conscious about what was happening. Maddy knew that she was going to die. She knew that she was going to leave earth with the baby, without saying goodbye to her parents; and definitely to Y/n's character.

Interviewer: I think that was definitely the best improvisation you did, Alexa. Because let me tell you, I was bawling my eyes out! This movie wrecked me emotionally. How about the scene where Y/n's character found out about it, and left running to the hospital? What were your thoughts when you saw your costar shooting that scene?

Alexa: I was crying.

she stated with a smile.

Alexa: I was behind the scenes and let me tell you, I couldn't believe how well she was displaying such sorrow and pain. Like, I wanted to kill the director and writer for putting us through so much pain.

she giggles.

Alexa: But, she did amazing. And I am completely grateful that I got to shoot this amazing movie with her. She's the best.

Interviewer: And definitely kudos for the two of you, and the rest of the team! Movie did great at the cinemas, and it's definitely the most talk film around Hollywood right now!

Alexa: Thank you so much.

Interviewer: But there's also something else running around Hollywood, and definitely would love if you are able to address it today.

Interviewer smiled, and Alexa widened her eyes with a giggle; knowing where this was going.

Interviewer: There's a few pictures going around the media of you and Y/n spotted kissing while waiting for your Starbucks drinks. Are you guys dating? Or are these old photos from a scene that was never displayed on the movie?

The interviewer joked with the last sentence.

Alexa: Yeah, those photos are definitely from a scene that didn't make the cut.

Alexa jokingly lied.

Interviewer: Was it really?

the interviewer wasn't really buying her story.

Alexa: I'm kidding! I suck at lying so..

she giggles.

Alexa: But those pictures are recent. Um, we obviously met on set; and definitely kicked it from there. We fell in love; and you know, we're just trying to keep it lowkey.

Interviewer: Kissing in public is definitely not keeping it lowkey! Everyone knows now!

The interviewer laughed, and Alexa shrugged; joining him with a giggle.

Alexa: Well, to clarify, we were trying to keep it lowkey! Think was, while we waited for the drinks, we got a bit bored so... that happened!

The interviewer laughed.

Interviewer: But regardless, it's so cute that you guys are dating in real life; and how happy you guys seem with each other. This is definitely the ending I would've loved to see on the movie instead!

Alexa: Blame the director and writer, not me!

she laughed.

Alexa: But thank you so much! I'm definitely very happy with her, and totally cherishing every second I spend with her. I'm grateful for this movie; because that's how we crossed paths, and fell in love.
