Chapter 3 - Meeting the class

Everyone in the room remained quiet and dared not speak in front of the most intimidating person in the world. The silence was broken by the Bat himself when he addressed the home room teacher.

"You were right Aizawa, they don't seem responsive at all when some fear is put in them." He said as he kept his cold glare on all the class. Meanwhile, the Batcomputer was uploading all the students' files to his gauntlet systems so he would have full time access to their info. There was one he didn't need info on though, and that was Bakugo who was staring angrily at him.

"Hello heroes, I'm Batman as you can obviously see and I'm going to be joining you in your class to get a real license so the heroes and police will let me do my job." One of the students stood up and began to walk towards him so Izuku turned to face the one approaching who happened to be Tenya Iida.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Batman. Though I do not always approve of your methods, you are undoubtedly a very good hero. My name is-"

"Tenya Iida, younger brother of the pro hero Ingenium. I've met him during the arrest of the Yakuza and have kept tabs on him and other heroes. He is a good man and a good hero, you must be honoured to be his brother." The two then bowed to each other and Iida went back to his desk.

"Now," Izuku began to announce to the class, "Nezu has told me that I am to trust you with my identity and that you are forbidden from exposing it or revealing anything about it to anybody. Seeing as how I am in an ok mood I will tell you... but a word of warning, I know everything about all of you. For example, I know about Mineta's hidden magazines collection and you better believe I am fully aware of your past Bakugo." He said eying both of them. This sent chills down the spines of the rest of the class.

Izuku then removed his cowl to expose his messy green hair, strong jawline, his emerald eyes and diamond shaped freckles.

"My name is Izuku Midoriya, and I am the Batman and your classmate." His voice was no longer low and modulated but more calm and somewhat approachable. All the girls had one thought: 'Holy crap he's gorgeous!!'. However as soon as these words were said, Bakugo stood up furious and stormed over while yelling.

"DEKU YOU BASTARD! YOU ALWAYS TRIED TO BE BETTER THAN ME, AND NOW YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST BECAUSE MOMMY AND DADDY AREN'T HERE ANYMORE YOU QUIRKLESS REJECT? I WILL KICK YOUR ASS!" But just as he fired off an explosion at point blank range, it was cancelled by Aizawa who then restrained him.

"You wanna know your problem Bakugo, you think you're better than everyone else but you are too insecure about yourself that you have to do stuff like this to seem like you're strong." This caused some more muttering in the class as the pair looked like a recipe for an explosion. Izuku then unclenches his fists which he didn't even realise he did, it must have been a reflex or triggered by the mention of his parents.

A few hours later in the dorms

Bakugo was pissed off at the fact his old punching bag had become not only a member of UA but he had become the most feared person in the world. He needed someone to take this out on. Some insignificant eyesore to him, unfortunately for Kyoka Jiro, she was near him when he was pissed off and she had accidentally bumped into him.

"WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING YOU TOMBOY BITCH! NOBODY LIKES YOUR EMO ASS AND YOU SHOULD TAKE A DIVE OFF THE ROOF, MAYBE THEN YOU'LL MATTER TO SOMEONE YOU DAMN FAILURE!" All of the other guys had grown accustomed to this and just ignored what was going on, aside from Iida and Kirishima who were out as well as the girls. Bakugo was taking things too far and started to set explosions off on her arms causing her to cry at the marks left behind. Bakugo was just laughing.

"PATHETIC," he began, "YOU CANT EVEN TAKE A HIT, YOU DON'T BELONG HERE! YOU DON'T BELONG ANYWHERE AND NOBODY WILL LOVE YOU!" And just as he was going to hit her in the face with a punch, it was caught. Kyoka opened her eyes to see Izuku clad in his Batsuit staring Bakugo down.

"Back off...now!" Izuku growled angrily through his voice modulator in the cowl.

"You think just cause you're some freak now you can pretend to be a hero?"

"I am a hero. And from what I've seen just then and heard about this kind girl, she is a greater hero than you could or ever will be." He said, making Kyoka smile through tears and a small blush before pushing Katsuki back a considerable distance. But being the hot-head he is though Bakugo immediately tried to attack Batman but was encased in ice to the point he could no longer move or sweat.

"Freeze-blast," Izuku said as he turned to Kyoka, "always handy to have just in case. Come with me, I'll give you some stuff for those burns and marks." He told her before taking her to his room. Once they entered the room, Kyoka began to look around as Izuku walked to a different room to find his emergency medical supplies.

The main room was like a detective's private study, with book shelves and boards with string attached linking different things. Most were linked to the League of Villains. Their actions had ranged from the assault on the USJ to torture and everything between. Every member had been identified and had their own file, as did every other criminal he had taken down. His files were so detailed and intricate that it put the police and some of the best detectives in history to shame. The room also housed a grandfather clock, a piano, a fireplace and tv.  One of his other rooms was a workout room, filled with weights, a removed tire, cement blocks, chains, punching bags, kettle bells, a bench press, a rowing machine, a leg press machine and a pull up bar. All the requirements for his extreme workouts. His bedroom was the same as any regular bedroom but the only noticeable difference being that the walls had no posters or anything like the rest of the students. There was but one picture in his room and that one picture was on the side dresser. In the picture was a tall man with black hair and freckles with a small smile on his face and next to him was a smaller green haired woman also smiling as bright as a supernova. Finally, there was a small green haired boy with a smile plastered on his face who looked happier than anything alive, Kyoka's only guess was that this was a younger Izuku Midoriya.

Speaking of, Izuku emerged from his workout room with some plasters, bandages and other things he thought would help. He dipped some cotton pads in some liquid before wiping the injuries with it to help with the pain.

"Here, this should help with the pain. I know that burn scars and marks hurt. I got plenty from him..." he said as he focused on her wounds with darkness covering his eyes to stop anyone seeing any emotion present. After cleaning and numbing the wounds, he wrapped her arms up and gave her some tablets.

"That is ibuprofen, if you start experiencing more pain take those."

"Thank you, but...why did you help me?" She asked out of pure confusion, "Nobody aside from the girls stand up for me and I am always ridiculed for my looks." As she said this, a small tear escaped her eye.

"Believe it or not, I understand how you feel." He began as he sat down next to her and removed his cowl. "For years, I was ridiculed and bullied near to the point of suicide by those I considered friends just because I was less built than everyone and I didn't have a quirk. I came to realise though, that it doesn't matter if I have a quirk or not and it didn't matter if I was super muscular. All that mattered was that I was at peace with myself and how I was as a person. You see, it doesn't matter about looks Jiro, it is about personality and from what I know about you, it seems you have a killer personality. And I for one would prefer someone with a great personality than a person with a good body. So next time you feel insecure or Bakugo picks on you, just remember... you are better for who you are instead of who you wish you could be, regardless of what anyone says."

Not sure how to respond, Kyoka wrapped her arms around the boy and hugged him tightly. Those were the nicest words anyone had ever said to her and she would remember them forever. The initial act of a hug made Izuku jump a bit though as he was used to being attacked and grappling with thugs, not hugging. Eventually though, he settled and placed one hand on one of her shoulders and patted her head with the other.

"Thank you..." Kyoka whispered as she hugged tighter and allowed a tear to seep out from her eye.

'I thought this was an attack but it is... a hug... it has been so long since I was shown any friendship or kindness' Izuku thought to himself as Kyoka kept the hug going longer.
