Chapter nineteen
Funeral

Olivia's funeral was a hard day for everyone, Ivy didn't know if she'd be able to face it but she knew she had no choice, Emily was a wreck she couldn't think about anything else other then the fact that Austin is out there somewhere living his life while Olivia is getting put into the ground, the rest of the team have been as supportive as they possibly can be but no matter how much any of them try Emily and Ivy won't be able to rest until Austin is caught.

Emily organized the whole funeral with help from the rest of the team but she done most of the work herself, Ivy chose the songs because she knew Olivia's taste in music better then anyone else, Emily picked Hotch, Spencer, Derek, JJ, Penelope and Caitlin to go up and do one reading each, Emily decided she'd read out the eulogy and Ivy would write something herself to say about Olivia.

For days Ivy had no clue what to write, what could she write that would be enough to describe how loving, kind and funny Olivia truly was. Ivy knew that no matter what she'd say she would always feel like she didn't say enough so she decided not to write anything and she hoped that when she stands up on the altar she'd know exactly what to say.

Spencer has spent that past week in Ivy's bedroom with her, the rest of the team except for Emily had to return to work but Spencer took one week off to spend with Ivy. They both done absolutely nothing for the whole week, they sat and watched telly, they ate nothing but takeaway food and spent quality time with each other. Ivy felt relaxed with him around and she couldn't help but wonder if they got into a relationship would this be what it would look like and if the to that question was yes then it would be perfect.

Ivy hasn't heard from Caitlin at all since the incident and she completely understood why Caitlin couldn't face Ivy yet, they both lost there best friend and from now on it won't be the three of them going out any longer it'll be the both of them and that's a huge thing to come to terms with so Ivy decided to give Caitlin some space until she's ready to talk and when she is Ivy will be there to listen.

The morning of the funeral finally arrived, Spencer got ready with Ivy as they listened to some music. Ivy felt sick the night before and the morning of the funeral so Spencer put on some music to try and get Ivy to stop overthinking her speech. Hotch was ready to leave before Spencer and Ivy so he made a bit of breakfast for the three of them.

"There's breakfast on the table if the two of you are hungry" Hotch called over the music.

"We'll be out now" Ivy called out to him as Spencer looked at her.

"Are you sure you're up to eating breakfast" Spencer spoke to her as he walked over to turn the music off.

"No but he's gone through the effort of cooking it for us so I'm not going to let it go to waste" Ivy spoke honestly as Spencer nodded.

"Okay just don't make yourself feel worse okay" Spencer spoke softly as Ivy walked over to him and put her arms around his neck.

"You don't have to worry about me I'm fine... well as fine as I can be in this situation but I will get through this" she spoke as he looked down at her.

"I have no doubt that you will get through it but that doesn't stop me from being worried about you" he spoke as she closed the gap between them and kissed him passionately on the lips.

"Thank you for everything you've done for me over the last week" she spoke in between kisses.

"You don't have to thank me" he whispered as she broke the kiss.

"I do... you've been there for me through everything I really appreciate it Spence" she spoke sincerely as he looked down at her.

"You're welcome... I'm always going to be here for you Ivy" he spoke to her as she opened her bedroom door.

"Let's go get some breakfast" she smiled up at the boy as he made his way towards the kitchen.

Ivy, Spencer and Hotch arrived at the church early, Emily and the rest of the team where already waiting outside for them. Hotch turned around to Ivy as he began to speak.

"Are you feeling okay" he asked as he looked at his daughter.

"I don't think I'll every feel okay about this dad but she deserves a beautiful send off and I'm not going to let her down" Ivy spoke as Spencer reached for her hand.

"You couldn't let her down even if you tried Ivy she loved you too much" Hotchner spoke as he opened his car door and made his way around to her side of the car.

"I'll be with you every step of the way" Spencer spoke to her as he kissed her on the cheek.

Hotch opened the door for her as Spencer got out of the car and made his way over to Hotch.

"You ready" Aaron spoke down to her.

"As ready as I'll ever be" she spoke as her dad took her by the hand and helped her out of the car.

Ivy's eyes wandered around everyone that was standing outside the church and her eyes landed on Caitlin and Emily standing side by side. Caitlin's eyes landed on Ivy as she walked toward them both.
Emily gave Ivy the tightest hug she ever has and left both of the girls to speak to each other alone.

"Ivy I'm so sorry I haven't reached out to you since it happened..." Caitlin spoke as Ivy talked over her.

"You have nothing to apologize for Caitlin... you needed some time to process it and that's fine" she spoke softly as she pulled the girl into a hug.

"I'm sorry you had to witness it happen" Caitlin whispered into Ivy's ear.

"I'm glad I was with her in the end... I'm grateful that she wasn't alone" Ivy silently cried as Caitlin began to sob.

"Ivy I don't think I can do this" Caitlin cried as Ivy looked down at her.

"You can get through this... if that means all you do is sit and cry then you do that but today is all about celebrating Olivia's life and as much as I'm so fucking angry that he took her away from us this is her day" Ivy spoke softly as she held the girls hand.

"I know it may seem selfish but I'm really grateful that you survived because I don't know what I'd do if I lost the both of you" Caitlin mumbled quietly as Ivy looked into her eyes.

"It's not selfish at all Caitlin you're allowed to feel whatever way you want to and I'm grateful that I still have you as well" she answered softly as everyone began to walk into the church.

The service was lovely everyone got up and said there readings, Emily gave a beautiful eulogy there wasn't a dry eye in the church. Ivy knew it was her turn to speak next and still she had no idea what she was going to say but she hoped that Olivia would help her along the way.

"Hey everybody em... first of all I want to thank everyone who came and took time out of there day to think about Olivia I know it means a lot to her family and friends. I was supposed to write something to say today but every time I tried to put my pen onto a piece of paper my mind would go blank, there's physically not enough words for me to describe how much Olivia meant to me so I ended up not writing anything at all... i decided to say whatever feels right at the time and that's what I'm going to do now. Me and Olivia have been friends for as long as I can remember she was a couple of years older then me but she never treated me like a kid. I remember Olivia used to tell everyone that we were sisters and the funny thing was most people believed her and probably still to this day some of you in this room might still think we were sisters but honestly we may as well have been because she meant the world to me and everyone sitting in front of me as well. Olivia brought joy and laughter with her everywhere she went, I know for a fact every time I seen her she made me laugh... I don't think there was one day that past that Olivia didn't make me laugh until my belly ached. Every room she walked in she used to light up and it's hard to believe she won't do that anymore. Emily... she used to talk about you for hours and say how much she loved you, how much she looked up to you and I remember this one time she said that if she could be half the women you are she'd be lucky... she loved her family and friends and we all loved her more then words can express but I hope that wherever she is now that's she's at peace and that she's happy because we'll be missing her for the rest of our lives but I do believe that we will meet again and I'm looking forward to that day" Ivy spoke into the microphone as everyone wiped the tears from there eyes and gave her a round of applause.

Ivy quickly made her way to her seat as Spencer reached out and grabbed her hand.

"You're speech was beautiful... she would have loved it" Spencer whispered as Ivy squeezed his hand as a thank you.

The service ended soon after Ivy finished her speech and the rest of the day went by in a daze, everyone told her how lovely her speech was and how sorry they were for her loss. Ivy just wanted to go home and crawl into bed, it was a long day and it was beginning to feel never ending.

"Do you want me to take you home" Spencer asked Ivy as she shook her head in agreement.

"Yes please but first I have to say goodbye to everyone" she answered as she made her way up to Emily and the rest of the team.

"I'm sorry but I'm going to head home... it's been a long day and I'm just really worn out" Ivy spoke as Emily gave her a hug.

"I completely understand... thank you so much for today Ivy you're speech was thoughtful and kind I'm sure she'd have loved it" she spoke softly.

"Do you want me to give you a life home" her dad asked as Ivy shook her head.

"Spencer is going to give me a lift so it's fine I'll see you when you come home" Ivy spoke as she gave him a hug goodbye.

Everyone else said there goodbyes as Spencer waited for her in his car. Ivy was making her way downstairs to his car as her phone began to ring, she froze as she pictured Austin on the other line but to her surprise it was Jack ringing her from Hayley's phone.

"Hi Ivy I've missed you" Jack sang from the other end of the line.

"Hi Jack I've missed you even more... where is Hayley" she spoke down the phone.

"She's upstairs running a bath I just wanted to talk to you for a little bit" he spoke softly as Ivy leaned up against a wall.

"It's been ages since I've heard you're voice I bet you're after getting taller since I last seen you" she laughed as he giggled in the background.

"I'm a big boy now I'm nearly as tall as you" he laughed as she thought back to the last time she'd seen him.

"I bet you are... I can't wait to see you soon, how are you and you're mom" Ivy asked as Jack paused.

"Mommy is sad most of the time because she misses you and daddy" he answered.

"Daddy misses you and you're mom so much he always talks about you all the time" she reassured him.

"When can I see use again" he asked as Ivy thought to herself.

"Very soon Jack I promise" she spoke as he began to speak quickly.

"I'll ring you tomorrow Ivy mommy is coming down the stairs I love you" he mumbled as he hung up the phone.

Ivy saved the number into her contacts so that the next time Jack would ring her it wouldn't come up no caller ID so she'd know for a fact that it wasn't Austin calling her.
