Chapter sixteen
Exit Plan

It was nice o'clock and Ivy had arrived at the address Austin had sent her, she was standing near the alleyway that she had found Olivia's earring in the day before. Caitlin was parked down the end of the street as Ivy waited for Austin to arrive. By the time Austin had arrived it was nine thirty.

"Hop in" he demanded as he pulled up beside her and opened the car door.

Ivy climbed into the passenger seat and shut the door behind her, she could feel her heart beating in her chest as they both sat in silence. Ivy just hoped that he wouldn't notice Caitlin following close behind them.

"It's nice to be this close to you without you causing such a fuss" he spoke first as Ivy looked over at him.

"I agree I've missed talking to you" she answered politely as he stopped at a red light.

"Why are you being so nice all of a sudden it doesn't feel genuine" he asked her as she looked down to the ground.

"I honestly don't know how to answer that question... I regret the way I treated you and the more I think about it and how you must have felt I feel terrible for what I've done to you but I'm also worried about Olivia... she's my best friend and I love her very much I just don't want to see her get hurt because of something I did" she spoke as he grabbed her chin and turned her face towards him.

"I won't hurt Olivia... unless you give me a reason too but if we continue getting along just like we are now she'll be fine" he answered as he looked her dead in the eyes.

"You promise you won't hurt her" she asked once more to be certain.

"I promise you Ivy" he reassured her as he let go of her chin and began to drive in the same direction.

The rest of the drive was spent in complete silence, they had been driving for over an hour now and the car eventually came to a stop beside a dark forest.

"We have to walk for about 15 minutes but we're nearly there" he spoke as he opened his car door and made his way around to Ivy's side.

"You ready" he asked her as he opened her door and helped her out of the car.

Ivy stood still as she looked straight ahead at the forest she was about to willingly walk into with her psychotic ex boyfriend who could potentially kill her.

"What's wrong" he asked as she snapped out of her own thoughts.

"Nothing I'm fine it's just I'm not the biggest fan of dark forest's" she laughed as he held out his hand for her to take.

"There's nothing to be scared of I'll protect you" he spoke optimistically as Ivy laughed to herself.

They'd both been walking for over 20 minutes until Ivy could see a small cabin come into view. Austin stopped in front of the cabin as he gripped Ivy's hand tightly.

"I have some rules that need to be followed if I bring you in there is that understood" he asked as Ivy shook her head.

"Perfect... rule number one is that no matter what happens you're not to leave my side do not under any circumstances go over to her okay you have to stay by my side at all times... rule number two don't think about making an escape plan because it will not work and I will kill her and the last rule is simple do not try to escape" he spoke sternly as Ivy looked directly into his eyes.

"I promise I won't break any of those rules" she lied as he opened the door and lead her down a flight of stairs to the basement.

"Olivia I have a visitor here to see you" Austin sang as he opened the door and pushed Ivy inside.

"Ivy why are you here... i told you not to come" Olivia spoke as Ivy looked at the chains that were around Olivia's arms.

"You don't need to chain her up like that's she's not a dog" Ivy spoke to Austin as he looked down at her.

"She is a fucking dog she tried to kill me multiple times might I add, she's been a pain in my ass ever since I laid eyes on her" he snapped as Olivia began to speak.

"You fucking kidnapped me you psycho what did you expect me to do" she screamed, Austin began to move towards Olivia as Ivy grabbed him by the arm and pulled him back towards her.

"Austin please relax she's just afraid... she doesn't know the real you. Olivia can you try you speak to him more politely please because he doesn't appreciate when people are rude to him" Ivy spoke as Olivia looked over at her like she was mad.

"Are you fucking for real right now" she screamed as Ivy looked at her with pleading eyes.

"Olivia you need to calm down" Ivy spoke calmly as Olivia began to understand what Ivy was doing. Austin's phone began to ring.

"You can answer it it's fine" Ivy spoke as she looked up at him.

"It's an unknown number" he answered her as she thought back to all the times he rang her on an unknown number.

"Just answer it and see who it is... we won't say anything you can trust me" Ivy reassured him as he answered the phone.

"Hello who is this" he asked as the person on the other end of the line fell silent.

"Hello" he shouted this time.

"Am I talking to Austin Frey" the man asked as Austin began to sweat.

"Who's asking" he snapped as the man apologized.

"This is a member of the police force calling to see if you could come in for questioning as soon as possible" the man asked as Ivy began to panic.

"What am I being questioned about" Austin asked as the man began to speak.

"It's in relation to a missing girl I just want to ask you a few questions" he said as Ivy wanted to jump down the phone and punch whoever was talking into the face.

"Yeah of course I'll be there first thing tomorrow morning" Austin spoke politely as the man said his goodbyes.

Austin looked into Ivy's eyes with such anger that she had to take a step back.

"Give me you're phone Ivy" he demanded as she shook her head.

"What for I'm not going to use it" she answered as he made his way towards her.

"Give me the phone" he screamed in her face as she fumbled around in her pocket looking for her phone,
as soon as she had taken it out of her pocket he grabbed it out of her hand and smacked it down onto the table.

"Now tell me what you've done" he snapped as she could feel the tears build up in her eyes.

"I... I don't know what you're talking about" she stuttered as he pushed her up against the wall.

"You fucking lying little bitch" he said as he smacked her across the face.

"Don't you fucking touch her" Olivia shouted as she tried to free herself from the chains.

"Olivia it's fine" Ivy spoke quietly as Austin grabbed her by the chin.

"Tell me what you did" he spoke angrily as Ivy cried.

"I done what I needed to do" she spoke as she grabbed onto a hard object that was sitting on the table beside them and swung it full force into his head, Austin feel unconscious as Olivia looked over at Ivy.

"You fucking geniuses" Olivia shouted as Ivy began to search for the keys to unlock the chains around Olivia's arms.

"He put them in the back pocket of his jeans" Olivia spoke as Ivy bent down and searched for the key.

"Is this the one" she asked as Olivia began to cry.

"I honestly thought I was going to die in here" Olivia cried as Ivy climbed up onto the bed and unlocked the chains.

The two girls hugged each other as tightly as they possibly could before they both made a run for the front door.
