" Come on sweetie, it'll be fun. Your going to get along with Nate just fine! "

" No, I hate him! He's a big and dumb jerk to me! "

Your 8 year old self was currently arguing with your mother, which she wasn't having any of your tantrums. She wanted to make a good impression so she could get a job as an engineer by Cal Jacobs, Nate Jacobs' father and the person you hate the most in your life. He was a year or two older, egoistical, always trying to work out, anger issues and tantrums when he doesn't get what he want and a bully, in your eyes.

" Look here, Y/N! If you don't cooperate with me and your dad, then we might never get a job and we really need it. Plus; why do you hate his boy anyway? He's so polite and sweet, It's unbelievable! "

Smoke was almost going to come out from your ears and your nostrils, the feeling worse than seething, bubbling anger. But, they were right. . . You had to forget about it. And plus, it was only going to be a few hours anyway, so you decided to leave your intentions behind and let your father ring the doorbell.

" Hello there D/N! Come on in! Oh and, don't worry about the shoes at all, we don't mind it one bit. "

" Thank you Marsha for inviting us inside. Y/N sweetheart, why don't you go play with Nate and Aaron? "

You didn't respond, just went sprinting to the backyard so you could get this over with. You saw the brothers playing with a ball and you wanted to join too.

" U-uhm. . . Can I play too, please? "

" Yeah sure, I'll leave you with Nate! I got to go out with my friends anyway. Nice to see you, Y/N!

After Aaron left you both, not before giving you a bear hug and messing with your hair, you two started to stare through each other's souls. Nate dropped the ball, analyzing you.

" You're definitely not cool. "

" Hey! W-well I don't like you, meanie! "

" What did you just call me?! "

He started chasing and you were trying to escape this cat and mouse. Unfortunately, you tripped and fell, him also falling next to you. After a few seconds of silence, you two started to ball out laughing, enjoying your time with each other and forgetting about the little fight or your hatred for Nate.

Both of your parents were watching you from afar, aweing at the cute little relationship you had with Nate. Just at that moment, Cal Jacobs came in with drinks and looked at the kids and laughing and rolling around the ground.

" Say. . . Why don't we get them together? I think they would be an amazing couple when they grow up. What do you think, L/N s? "

" You just read our mind, Cal!. . . "
