Where's Danny!

<Before Jason's arrival>

Tho following morning was again nothing pleasant for the young halfa. He woke up cramped, lying in the corner. The only upside to this miserable situation was that he woke up warm, covered in a blanket.

"Training." Dan barked at the small human when he noticed that he was finally awake. "Bring your sword." Danny stood a little confused, still groggy from his sleep. He quickly realized what was happening and changed into his spare uniform. Strapping his training katana to his belt, he ran after the ghost.

The whole temple was dead quiet. Maybe it was because of the early morning hour or the fact that this building was inhabited by obedient assassins. Soon the halfa caught up with his ghostly counterpart, both now heading for the early morning training.

Danny looked at Dan, his features stone hard. When he was behaving normally, Danny was often able to tell what the ghost was thinking or what he was going to do by his expressions, but this ability was taken away from him. Now, he was unpredictable.

The moon still shone above their heads, illuminating the snowy mountain peaks. It was a beautiful sight if they weren't currently situated in the center of assassins headquarters. All the trainee assassins were quickly gathering on the courtyard, patiently waiting for their today's teacher.

The separated duo joined their group, standing in the back. Few trainers assistants were already there, checking their recruits if their uniforms were tied the right way. As they were walking between the lines of future assassins, an older assistant stopped right next to Danny. He drew out his sharp katana. The moon was reflecting off of the flawless weapon.

"Nice way to go." Danny thought as he prepared himself for a decapitation. With closed eyes, he waited. The slash never came, instead a warm liquid covered his face. When he dared to open his eyes again, a headless body was slowly falling to the ground.

"This should be a warning to all of you! Always wear your uniform the right way!" The elder's voice was amplified by the closed space, making him sound a little scary.

"Are you scared?" The ghost taunted, giving Danny a side glance. For once, the smirk in the ghost eyes was obvious.

" No." the halfa replied, shaking a little. Tell me, who wouldn't be shaken if someone decapitated a person right in front of your eyes, only 20 inches away from you. The blade could have easily hurt you too!

"Then you should prepare for your old friend."

"You mean Ryan?" Danny asked hopefully. A known face would be great right now. Before the ghost could tell the teen who the old friend was, the guard from their first training appeared right next to Danny.

"You're not worthy of out teaching." The guard sneered and dragged Danny into the corner again. This time, the boy knew exactly what was going to happen, he was going to get slashed and cut with a razor sharp sword.

"Please don't." Danny pleaded, scared for his life. What if the guard won't have mercy for him this time?

"Only the pathetic plead." He growled and drawn his katana. A big backswing and the sword was on his way to Danny's unprotected throat. He was about say his goodbyes to life when lout clank startled him.

"Stop." A gruffly voice spoke. The man who wanted to slice Danny open only few seconds ago obeyed and knelt on his knee.

"Please, forgive me Grand Master." Danny found himself facing the one and only, Ra's al Ghul. Why did he save his life?

"You'll come with me, the ghost too." The man said what he wanted and he was on his way inside again. Dan heard the whole commotion and he was already on his way to the inside of the temple. There was no other choice left for the young halfa so he reluctantly obeyed. He had to break into running not to lose them from his eyesight.

The hallways formed into one dark blur as Danny rushed past them. The Demon's head stopped in front of a running chopper, the turning blades rustling everyone's hair.

"Where are we going? I haven't finished my training yet!" The ghost shouted angrily. The loud sound of their ride blew away Dan's words. When Ra's didn't respond, Dan grabbed the man by his green cloak and pulled closer. It seemed as if the man didn't like his actions and flipped the ghost to the ground.

Danny's hand was automatically outstretched to help Dan up, but when he realized their current relationship, he pulled it back. The ghost wiped some of his green blood from under his nose he crushed during the contact with the ground. With fury in his eyes, Dan charged at the ancient man. He was abruptly stopped by a katana pointed at his chest. Due to his loss of powers, Dan was forced to step down to make it out alive.

Ra's al Ghul sat by the pilot in the cockpit, leaving Danny and Dan alone in the back seats.

"Detective's sons are on their way here. You are too valuable to be apprehended by them." The assassin's voice erupted from the speakers. When there was nothing more to say, the green light on the speakers turned red, meaning they were offline.

When the shock from their current situation passed through Danny, he realized that his brothers were looking for him.

"I have to get down!" Danny shrieked, rushing towards the open doors of the helicopter. "Jason came for me." The halfa looked pleadingly at the ghost, who was the only one with flight abilities.

"Dan, please, fly me down!"

"And what do I have from it? Hmm?" The ghost glared at the human. "I will have to stay with you because I can't get more 30 feet away from you." There was no chance for Danny to win this argument. He looked out at the passing country below him. There was a lake few dozens feet underneath him. If he jumped, he could hide in the mountains and still be saved by his brothers. Danny didn't have much time to think so he made up his mind. He jumped.

The free fall felt amazing. The cold air was in Danny's face, rustling his hair. As he got closed to the water, something yanked his leg. As he looked up, he found Dan holding his leg, staring down at Danny angrily.

"You're not leaving." He growled quietly and shot towards the chopper. Why the hell did he have to keep the ability to fly? There was no other chance of escape now, no water to break his fall.

.......

Jason and his younger brother crept silently through the thick winter forest. The coniferous trees provided them a great cover, making it easier to get to the League of Shadows headquarters unnoticed.

"We have to proceed quietly, stay high on alert." Tim whispered as he pushed through a big bush.

"Man, Alfred will be mad that I destroyed my new uniform." Tim thought as he examined his slightly torn outfit. "Focus, Drake!" He scolded himself, trying to clear his head. They proceeded through the forest without any enemy sighing.

"Isn't it weird? This place is usually cramped up with Ra's al Ghul's minions. What has changed?" Jason asked, looking into the distance.

"There might be several factors. The league might be dealing with something more important in another place, they might've spotted us and are waiting or..." Tim paused, looking directly at his brother. "Danny isn't here."

"Stop." Jason exhaled shakily. "Just don't say it until I'm 110% sure." His face was covered by the Red hood helmet, concealing his emotions from the world. The voice modular made him sound less scared for his younger brother, but it still wasn't enough for Jason's current partner. Knowing that he won't help his brother, Tim only nodded and moved forward again.

"There's a clearing right behind this vegetation."

"We'll each go our separate ways, that way we can cover more ground." The anti-hero announced, already making his way closer to the temple.

"Fine, when something happens, let me know." Tim replied and disappeared into the shadowy morning.

"No way everyone is getting alive out of this." Jason growled, his helmet muffling his words. A rift in the grey rocks was a great cover, allowing the hero to come unnoticed.

A nothing suspecting assassin was harshly snatched from his patrol route by an angry vigilante, who was looking for answers to some pressing questions.

"Where is Daniel Fenton?! Where are you keeping him?!" Jason barked, scaring the crap out of the guy. He seemed to be one of the newest recruits because he broke under Jason's hateful gaze.

"I... I don't know... anyone with the name Fenton..." he stuttered and looked away.

"Then where is Ra's al Ghul!?"

"He hasn't showed up... since... since the day I arrived. That was... week ago."

"Bitch." The vigilante spat angrily and knocked him out. He wasn't going to spend his valuable bullets on such pathetic creatures like this one, rather save them for the tough guys.

"Got anything?" Jason asked his brother through their comms. There was only buzzing for a while. The anti-hero was slowly starting to get worried for his brother's safety when he finally replied.

"Unfortunately no. The camera systems are clear. I'm approaching the building from the west to search for Danny myself."

"I'm going to interrogate some people. See if they have different opinions than the first guy."  Jason said, slowly approaching the ancient temple.

"Wait, What did he say?" Tim asked eagerly.

"That neither Ra's or Danny are here. I don't think he was lying, he completely broke down in front of me." The older vigilante sighed. It took many tiring hours and several murders to finally convince Jason that Danny wasn't there. He even talked to Danny's school friend Ryan, but he was clueless as everyone.

"Jay, it's time to go home." Tim said gently, pushing down Jason's hand, which was holding a smoking gun. "Danny wouldn't want to see you like this."

Hi guys, long time no see. Please everyone, write in the comments what do you think about this chapter. These last few parts are being written a little forcefully, but it doesn't mean I won't finish it and continue with sequel. I just need a feedback. Any response, positive or negative will move me forward. Thanks.
