Also please read the AN under the chapter. ONLY AFTER you read the chapter.

~~~~~~~~
During dinner, Bruce made up another lame excuse for why he was going away from home. He said that Damian, Tim, Dick and him were going on an unannounced meeting they didn't know about. His excuse for bringing his three sons along was that they had to learn how to run a company.
Everyone was shocked when Danny accepted their excuse without a single question. He still seemed shaken form earlier but he kept a hard face.
The next morning, everything was packed, utility belts were full and the whole crowd stood in the Batcave, waiting for orders. Tim was looking up few last bits of information, while everyone was checking they anti-ghost equipment. Laser beams were loaded, nets were stocked and green batarangs were folded.
"Just add some music and it's like in the films." Dick laughed while fidgeting with a batarang. Tim, still sitting by the computer turned around with a raised eyebrow.
"You know, when the heroes are preparing for a battle. No?" Dick asked him.
"Tt, grow up Grayson." Damian scoffed somewhere from the inside of his uniform. He was currently putting it on, but he was struggling. Someone tangled his sleeves and he was stuck.
"I swear Drake, if it was you, I'll kill you!" Damian threatened as he threw the top off. He angrily grabbed it and went to throw it at his brother when he screamed.
"I swear to god I didn't do it! I don't know who did it." Tim peaked through his fingers which were covering his face. The small boy grunted but went to untangle his uniform.
"Stop fighting, its time to go." Bruce announced annoyed, not looking forward to being the only mature adult on this mission. Everyone put their masks on and walked towards the Zeta Tubes. A bright flash of light blinded them for a second and the next one, they were standing in a cave full of teenagers. At least half of the group wasn't here due to their personal life. It wasn't bad because the amount of member this team had, they wouldn't be able to board the Bio-ship.
"Team." Batman greeted formally, scanning the room.
"What's the mission B." Beast boy jumped up and down by Miss Martian's side. Bruce wasn't going to waste his time with an argument, he just sent a glare the green boy's way. The effect was immediate, quieting the whole chatting crowd.
"You will come as a backup team on a very important covert mission. You aren't allowed to engage until orders are given." Everyone sighed, being unhappy with the orders. They haven't been on a mission for so long, they were lacking the adrenalin.
"Your team will be ready all the time, checking the area from the sky. Use the Bio-ship and under all circumstances, the camouflage mode must be activated."
"Yes Batman, your orders are clear." Aqualad, the team leader confirmed and the team started heading to the hangar. Nightwing explained the mission yesterday when he came here to announce the news. Batman was grateful for his son's impatience and his loyalty to this team because he wasn't sure if he had the will and energy to explain everything to a band of ADHD teenagers. (*cough* Wally, Bart, BB *cough*)
Without any other comments, the team made their way to the hangar, loading the plane with supplies. They weren't sure how long the mission would last so they packed.
The batfamily returned to their headquarters, ready to board Batman's jet. (Not the one mentioned in previous chapters) The black machinery looked suspiciously similar to the F-35B, the only jet capable of vertical landing and takeoff. (Sorry for too much details but I'm in love with fighter jets) There was only a small change, it wasn't only for one person. Bruce was able to expand the number of passengers to stunning 7, including the pilot.
"Everyone on board?" Batman asked before he started the engines. The boys didn't even have the time to answer when the jet took off. Every time they flew with a jet, Batman's control over the plane always amazed them. It was one thing to preform some aviation acrobatics but it was completely different to fly in a cramped cave full of sharp obstacles. When they got to the open airspace, it was still dark. The moon was illuminating the interior of the jet, making everything appear silver.
It was a clear night. As soon as they got away from Gotham city, the stars became much brighter and visible. A sight like this was very rare so the batboys leaned back and enjoyed the sight through the glass window above them. It was going to be a long ride. With the first sunlight, the boys were all out cold, catching up on their sleep.
The silent roar of engines woke them up. The sun was setting, making a beautiful landscape in front of them. The forest laying under them was dark and thick, making it hard to find a landing space. As soon as they landed, the darkness of the forest surrounded them, making it easy to move around unnoticed.
"Nightwing to team, are you in position?" Dick pressed his comm in his ear.
"Ready for your orders." The atlantean answered. He gave his family thumbs up and they walked into the forest. It was a simple plan, near the building and get inside. Their journey continued undisturbed until shuffling could be heard from their right. Batman, standing in the front, raised his fist to signal the others to stop. They all instinctively crouched down, scanning the area for the threat.
Nothing appeared. The batfamily was about to continue when the sound came from a closer bush. A soft green light illuminated the dark leaves. Everyone took out their weapons, ready to face the creature hiding behind the bush.
Suddenly, a green and angry looking ghost wolf jumped into the air, surprising everyone. Tim who was standing the closest, swung his bo-staff at the creature. Unfortunately, the weapon went right through the wolf and it tossed Tim on the ground. Being the lovely and tame creature it was, it tried to bite off the vigilante's head.
Batman took out his green batarang, aiming for the wolf's back and making sure not to hit his son. As he was about to throw it away, another green creature appeared and threw Batman into a tree. The man quickly shook off his dizziness and ran to help Red Robin. Two more green wild animals appeared, each attacking one person. The creature that tossed Bruce into the tree came out to be a huge bear and it stood right between him and the rest of his family.
Batman took out another batarang and held it like a dagger. When the bear swung, he ducked under it's strong paw and sliced it's stomach. To their luck, the bear panicked and ran away. It was a reasonable decision considering the huge cut.
Through Tim's struggles, he managed to hold the sharp teeth away from his face only with one hand. He also took out the green batarang and held it heigh. Tim saw Bruce slice the bear from the corner of his eye and even though it was trying to kill him, he didn't wasn't to hurt it too badly. The wolf soon started creeping away from the green object, quietly squealing.
Batman and Red Robin helped the rest of their clan scare away the animals. Bruce picked the fallen batarang from the ground and put it back into his utility belt. Out here, their supplies were limited.
The only sound they made was a light leaf shuffling. Thanks to their dark costumes, they went unnoticed the rest of the way to the forest manor. Nightwing activated his holo-glove and searches for any security. There were some cameras but they were all deactivated due to the cut off supply of energy.
"No security." Dick informed his family. Tim and Bruce climbed up the wall and sat by a window. Damian and Dick did the same but few feet away. The room inside was dark and quiet except for the ticking of an old clocks. In their pairs, they searched the whole building from the bottom to the top but found nothing.
.......
"They must think I'm weird when I don't question their sudden departure." The halfa frowned at his cereal. He and Jason woke up a while ago and were currently eating breakfast in the living room.
"Yeah, maybe a little. They are suspicious because everyone discovered Bruce's secret within few weeks or a months." Jason said with his mouth full of sandwich. Fortunately Alfred went to visit a friend for few days so he couldn't scold them for eating out of the dining room.
"But how am I supposed to get him off of my back? Should I stumble across the batcave? Or tell him I know?"
"I don't think so. I know you don't like the secrecy but please try to wait for a month or two. You know, until things settle down again." After they finished their breakfast, Jason responsibly washed the dishes and cleaned their utensils.
"Want to watch a movie," Jason suggested when he saw the bored expression of his brother.
"No, I was just thinking." He replied, still being deep in thoughts.
"About what?" The vigilante went straight to the point. Whenever someone asked him what was wrong, the halfa changes the topic or walked out of the room angry and frustrated.
"Ryan." It wasn't a complete lie. Ryan's betrayal was still randomly popping up in his mind, making him feel a lot of different emotions. Yes, Danny still felt betrayed but there was also another point of view to this.
Ryan must have been with the league his whole life considering that Damian knew him. He was an influenceable child, raised the wrong way.
"Oh." Jason senced the truth in his voice and let it go. They sat together for the whole morning, watching TV.
"What do you say on a small trip to the ice cream shop?" The older brother asked. He stood up from the sofa and stretched his back.
"Ok, it would be nice to leave this house for a while." Danny agreed and headed to his bedroom to change clothes. He took out his favorite outfit from the wardrobe. A white T-shirt with a red circle and 3 lines, blue trousers and red sneakers.
While he was putting on his T-shirt, something flew into his window. It surprised him so much that he yelped unwillingly. When he walked closer, he found out that it was a brown owl. Poor creature. Danny opened the window to look at the bird if it was okay when it flew over his head and landed on the table.
The owl shrieked and bit it's leg. Wait, it was taking off a note! As soon as the note was off, the owl disappeared through his window.
'Just great, another note but this time delivered even more mysteriously.' Danny thought to himself as he was closing the window. It was a rolled letter tied with a string.
Greetings Phantom,
We have been watching your steps for some time now and I'm speaking for everyone now, your abilities are interesting.
It would be an honor for the Court of Owls to rule the world with you by our side.
When you decide to join us, just whistle. An owl is always nearby.
~The Court of Owls
"Why me!?" Danny shouted at the letter. "Why are all the assassin groups interested in me?" He asked himself quietly, not to warn his brother.
"The first offer is better. What is the fun in ruling the world from the shadows?" Dan commented. Well great, Jason's imagines were coming true. Now, he had some assassin friends.
"What am I supposed to do?" The halfa cried into his hands, being desperate. The two cults were knocking on his door and he didn't know what to do with them. Run away or open the door.
"Danny, is everything all right?" Jason asked worriedly from behind the doors.
"NO! ... YES!... I mean go away!" Danny shouted but at the end of the sentence, he was fully crying. Jason didn't need an invitation when Danny was crying, he bursted this hrough the door to check on his brother.
"Oh Danny, please tell me..." Jason whispered as he hugged Danny on the floor. It took him some time to calm down before he was even able to take a breath. There was silence.
Jason was rubbing Danny's back in a calming way when he noticed something in Danny's clutched hand. He reached out to take it out of Danny's hand when Danny snatched it away.
There was no time to react when the paper lit up. They both stared at the flames in Danny's palm which were slowly eating on the paper.
"What was that. Tell me." Jason commanded in a harsh tone.
"NOTHING!" Danny shouted and pulled away. He was now standing in the middle of his room, glaring down at his older brother.
"Daniel James Fenton! I'm not here to judge you! I won't fucking hurt you for getting a letter! I know you are suffering! I'm here to help you but you bitch won't let me!" Those harsh words had an immediate effect on the younger boy. He has been called many things before, a freak, a monster, a scum but those words from his brother hurt his soul.
Suddenly, he didn't feel sad or hurt, all he felt was anger. The world, his family, his friends, Dan, all the secrets, everything angered him. Danny felt his control over his body slowly slipping and going to Dan.
"Oh, you won't." Danny hissed and with all his will, he pushed Dan's presence out of his head. Everything around them quieted down. The only sound was Danny's, Jason's and someone's third breathing.
Wait, there were three of them? Right next to Danny, there was the monster in his full height of 8 feet. A wicked grin appeared on his face when he realized what was happening.
"Nice to see you Danny." Dan mused. "I have some urgent business to attend to but I'll be back to kill you all."
Danny and Jason were completely terrified. How was this possible? They can't just separate. In a second, the ghost was in the air, heading for the door. When he reached to door, an invisible force stopped him from going further.
"What the hell." Dan cursed when he wasn't able to get past the invisible barrier. He turned to his human side with a hateful glare. "Are you doing this?" Dan asked in his deep voice sending chills down their spines.
"N...no." Danny stuttered, backing into the wall. As the boy moved, the invisible force seemed to move with him because it pushed Dan into the room. The ghost flew right past Danny, trying to phase through the wall.
Something strange happened, the ghost didn't turn intangible and he flew right into the wall. He tried to make his hand intangible or even invisible but nothing worked. Jason took out a small handgun, loaded with few ectoranium bullets.
Dan saw it as a threat and stepped away from the gun. He tried to make a flaming fist but again, nothing happened.
"If I were you, I would put my hands in the air." Jason ordered, pointing the gun at Dan's heart.
"You don't have powers." Danny said, watching the scene from the corner of the room. Out of curiosity, Danny walked across his room to the other end. As he walked, the shield blocking Dan seemed to move with him.
"He can't get more than 30 feet away from me."  Danny said, his words sounding unbelievably even to him.
"You just separated his body but not his mind." Jason tried to explain the weird situation. It was weird seeing Dan so powerless and at mercy of his older brother.
Being calm always helped Danny to get better control of his body and Dan. He closed his eyes and took few deep breaths. His mind only focused on getting Dan back...
When the halfa opened his eyes, the only person he saw was his shocked brother. They were staring at each other not knowing what to say.
"Did you know about this ability?" Jason asked while he was putting his gun back.
"I didn't know." Danny confessed.
~~~~~~~~~~

I got this writing boost and wrote this chapter in like 5 hours. It was so much fun.

Also I really felt like crying when I was writing the sad part with Danny's breakdown. Nothing important but I just wanted to let you know.

!IMPORTANT!

What should happen on the mission? A reader suggested adding the YJ so I did but now I don't know how to make it interesting.

If you have any suggestions, please write in the comments!
