Dan was heavier than the young vigilante expected. He was extremely strong for his age but he didn't expect a ghost to be so heavy. Jason couldn't lift him up from the ground so he was forced to drag him on the floor right to the infirmary. Green streaks of blood were left on the floor from the cell all the way to the medical wing.

To Jason's luck, the bed was able to move up and down. With Dan's weight, he wasn't sure if he would be able to lift him high enough for the bed. Since the bullet wound was on the back side of his tight, the ghost laid unconscious on his stomach.

Jason walked away to grab everything he would need for this little surgery. He opened the first cabinet and took out some bandages and scissors. When he opened the second one, there were strings for sewing wounds and prolonged pliers for taking out bullets and shards. He put all those thing on a table near the bed when he realized he forgot one thing. He was missing one of the most important things, the disinfection spray.

Jason searched the all of the cabinets but he couldn't find the damn spray. He was in rush since the ectoranium was starting forming small green webs on Dan's skin. The young vigilante decided to start without it. His first priority was to take out the bullet to stop the spreading and then he would search more.

Jason grabbed the prolonged pliers, ready to take out the green bullet. When his skin touched Dan's hazmat suit, he instinctively retreated his hand because it was freezing. The bullet wasn't going to get out by itself so Jason neared the wound again, successfully taking out the green object.

Once the bullet was gone, the ghost muscles seemed to relax.

"Where's are the antiseptics?" Jason muttered under his breath as he was searching the room. Just as he was about to look elsewhere in the cave, he spotted the bottle which was lying right under his nose all the time. It was standing right on the table where he has put all of his things before.

"Idiot..." Jason cursed while he attended the wound. When he finished wrapping Dan's leg, he put away all the things he used back at their place so the next time, he won't have a problem with finding them.

The ghost wasn't going to wake up anytime soon so it was a good time now to clean the blood trails left on the floor. There was a bucket and a mop lying in the corner of the main platform since Bruce sometimes intend to come home with more than scratches, leaving his own trail of crimson red liquid.

It didn't take long to mop the place out but now, Jason was having a bigger problem. There were set up hidden cameras around the cave, watching the whole scene. He didn't even think about them before he went to talk to Dan and his hustle got him into a slightly bigger problem. Now he had to edit the security footage which wouldn't be that hard if he wasn't currently situated in the batcave.

"If Tim was here." Jason groaned, giving Dan a glance before he headed towards the computer. He sat in the comfy chair, searching for the hidden file with the caves security footage. For a long time, he couldn't find anything. He cursed quietly under his breath every time he opened the wrong file, getting more and more frustrated every second. The clock showed 11:24, startling Jason a little. He didn't realize when so much time had passed.

After about an hour, everything was finished. Jason let out a sight, being truly relieved that he finished it in time. Just as he was going to get something to eat, shifting could be heard from the infirmary indicating that their guest was waking up. Jason rushed towards the bed, standing right next to the stirring ghost.

Suddenly, Dan shot up from his sleep with his arms stretched out. The vigilante standing at his side didn't have enough time to move out of the way of those two big arms, finding himself embraced in a tight hug.

"Jason..." the ghost form mumbled into the shocked teens abdomen, reviving a strange look.

"Dan...ny?" Jason questioned, not being sure who he was currently talking to. Danny, being to one in control retreated his hands while he was looking at them. His eyes widened when he found himself looking at his older version. Danny quickly realized what was happening and then two white rings appeared around his waist, going separate ways.

When the light disappeared, Danny found himself in the same pajamas in which he went to bed before. His blue eyes shifted around, trying to look at everything but Jason.

The boy standing aside saw the younger male discomfort and he tried to calm him down. "Danny it's ok, you did nothing wrong."

Jason's soft words made Danny look at him, with his eyes watering and soon, tears were flowing freely down his cheeks. Smalls sobs escaped Danny's throat, making Jason feel bed. He didn't know if he was crying because his leg hurt badly or it was something else.

"H...he killed an..another per...person..." Danny sobbed now in Jason's strong arms who held him close. Jason whispered soft words into Danny's hair and after a while, he was able to calm down enough to let Jason go.

On the other hand, Danny felt warm and comfortable in the older man's arms so he stayed there.

"You slept enough today so wake up." Jason chuckled as he ruffled the boy's black hair. With a groan, Danny pushed himself off of his older brother and sat right next to him.

"You know that you can't blame yourself for their deaths." The vigilante said sadly, being unaware of approaching the soft spot. More tears threatened to spill so Danny turned his head to the other direction, trying to distract himself with anything around.

"Just let it be..." Danny whispered, letting Jason know to leave the topic. "Is the offer still valid?" He asked his brother, remembering the offer he made him earlier.

First, Jason was confused, just staring at Danny and trying to figure out what was he talking about. Then it hit him, he offered both Dan and Danny a place to stay, a permanent one now. A kind smile appeared on Jason's face as he put an arm around Danny's shoulders, pulling him closer.

"I was wandering if you would like to stay with me and my brothers at the manor." Those words came out quickly, Jason himself still not being completely sure if it was a good idea. He liked having Danny around but he didn't know if his brothers would accept him. Yes, they all went through some tragic events in their lives that got them together but nobody had to deal with a murderous part of your personality every day. Jason wasn't going to tel his brothers Danny's secret yet, it was Danny's choice and he wanted him to be ready and do it himself.

"You mean with your family?" The halfa asked uncertain, shifting under Jason's strong arm. "What if they won't accept me? I caused them a lot of trouble lately." He added while he looked down ashamed.

"They don't have to know yet. If you have any trouble, you can just come and talk to me."

"And won't Bruce be against? He has already four kids on his neck... I don't want to cause any troubles." Danny said while having a mental argument with himself whether to stay at the manor of just walk out of their lives. After the long time, he felt like he belonged somewhere when he was around Jason but on the other hand, he wasn't sure with Jason's brothers. They may be good and accepting people but they have never met Danny and his evil half before.

"Please? After all, I wanted you to meet my brothers for some time now." Jason wandered, imagining his brothers interrogating this poor boy when he take a step inside of the manor. A soft laugh escaped his lips as he thought about it.

"I don't know..." Danny trailed off and you could see all the gears in his head turning, trying to figure out the best solution.

"If they ever mistreat you, I'll make sure that they will pay." Jason said playfully and both the males laughed together. After the laughter died down, Jason opened his mouth again: "So will you come?"

"Yeah, I guess." The smaller boy said, still being a little uncertain but with his new brother, he will get through it.

"Come, lets get home now to pack your things. I'll call Bruce about this and then we can come." The older of the duo said as he was standing up from the medical bed. He was walking outside when he realized that Danny wasn't following him. Jason turned around to look at the boy.

"And what about Dan? You can't just say that he escaped. He tried it but with no effect." Danny thought out loud, pointing out a very important thing. Jason thought for a while and he came up with an excuse.

"What if some of Dan's sneaky friends broke him out. After all, a lot of assassins from The League of Shadows or The Talons know the location at the batcave and also our identities so it wouldn't be that suspicious."

"Yeah, but Dan doesn't have any friends or allies, nor he has been seen with someone else." Danny said skeptically.

"Maybe, but a lot of villains have secret allies so it wouldn't be that suspicious." Jason told Danny, making his relax a bit.

They both took the exit through the cave in case anyone came home earlier than expected. It amazed Danny how well hidden the cave was. The main entrance was hidden behind a huge waterfall with some additional security, making it nearly impenetrable. They walked their way home since they had free time and Jason came on one seat motorcycle. He could take any of Bruce's cars but he didn't want to raise suspicions.

During their way to Jason's safe house, they talked a lot about various topics from food to guns. People passing by were staring at them since they were still a new thing around town. They didn't bother with those staring strangers, they just kept walking towards their apartment.

"I'll call Bruce as soon as his work time is over." Jason announced as he was opening the front door. When Danny stepped inside, he was met with a mess everywhere. Books, electronics, clothes and even ammo was scattered all over the place.

"Is my absence a reason for all of this?" Danny asked with a smirk as he gestured around himself.

"I was just looking for a charger..." Jason said sheepishly also grinning. Both males started laughing again, the second time today and it felt good to be back together.

"You know you'll have to clean this all up eventually." The younger teen said as he was making his way towards his bedroom through the piles of things.

"Yeah, I know but we don't have to do it today, just leave it for a different time." Jason said carelessly also making his way through the stuff but he was heading to the living room. Danny followed closely and sat on the other half of the double leather sofa.

They watched some TV for a while when Jason stood up and said: "K, Bruce's work time is over so I'll call him." As he finished his sentence, he was slowly making his way towards the kitchen where he left his phone. Danny didn't want to pry or listen to their conversation so he stayed there watching TV. His mind was too distracted to realize what was going on on the screen. The boy was thinking about Jason's conversation with Bruce and he was silently hoping for Bruce to say yes.

Meanwhile in the kitchen, Jason took his phone from the counter. He dialed Bruce's number and he didn't have to wait long. The voice of his adoptive father could be soon heard.

"Hello Jason, what's going on. Are there any troubles?" Bruce asked, referring to Jason's cave duty.

"No there's nothing for you to worry about. I was just calling to ask you something." He started and soon Bruce made a sound that told him to go on.

"You know the boy I've been spending time with, Danny Fenton."

"Yes, what about him?"

"I would like to bring him to the manor." There was a long pause from Bruce's side of the phone, making Jason nervous. As Danny said, Bruce had enough of his own problems and he wasn't looking for another addition to the family. Maybe there might be some more of Damian's animals but that was off the topic now. The silence was slowly suffocating Jason and he started thinking that Bruce left the phone somewhere and walked away.

"You can bring him." Bruce sighed in defeat. He was well aware of what would Jason do if he refused, while at the sme time he was also interested in the small boy Jason took liking in.

"Thank you, thank you!" Jason squeeled into the phone and running could be heard from his side. Bruce assumed he ran to tell Danny the news.

"I'll wait you with everyone at six" The adult said with a small smile and hung the phone.

"He said yes!" Jason announced as he reached the eyesight of Danny. Now both were grinning like idiots, being really happy bacause of Bruces' approval.
