An alarm started beeping in a dark room signaling that it is the right time to wake up. The person just sighed and turned on the other side, going back to sleep.

You have to meet with the Bat today Jason so get up! Jason was trying to persuade himself to get out of the bed. When a person lied down in the evening, the bed felt like stone but when he woke up, it was like lying in the clouds. An arm shot towards the small piece of tech that made those loud and screeching sounds, turning it off.

Jason rolled over on his back with his hands spread, enjoying the few seconds left of lying on his bed. He sat up at the end of his bed and rubbed his eyes to chase away the sleepy feeling. I'm just gonna tell Danny that I'm leaving. Jason thought as a yawn escaped his mouth. He pushed himself off of his bed and walked towards his guest room where Danny was probably still sleeping.

The vigilante quietly knocked on the door before he stepped inside. The bed was empty and there was no one in the room. He must be up then. Jason reassures himself but a bad feeling whirled inside of him.

After of few minutes of searching the apartment for his new roommate, he found no one. Panic was increasing inside of him, clouding his mind and also making it impossible for him to think straight.

"Danny?!" Jason shouted only to be sure that he didn't miss the boy somewhere. After one minute of no responding, he decided to look at the new tracking satellite that Bruce has built. He quickly took out his computer and he nearly broke it from anger when it showed him 5%.

"Shit." Jason sweared. He searched his whole house again but he couldn't find the charger from his computer. As he ran back to the kitchen he tripped and fell right at his face. When he turned around he was met with the charger from his computer dangling dangerously approximately one feen above the ground, just enough to trip someone.

Jason grabbed the charger and rushed to his computer to plug it in the electricity. When the percentage bar turned green, he went to his top secret account to access the satellite from here. As he was searching for the communication program, he found nothing. Just then he remembered something Bruce told him about a week ago. "Jason, the program isn't installed yet on your computer so you can come tomorrow." The following day was the day when he met Danny and his whole life turned upside down. Great, now he has plus one reason to get to the batcave and as soon as possible.

The vigilante dressed up quickly and then headed for the garage where he kept his motorcycle and his car. He hoped on the motorcycle because it would get him through the traffic quicker. Jason didn't even care to put on his helmet, he only focused on finding Danny. His thoughts were getting into dark places as he was imagining him under Dan's control again or killed.

There weren't many cars in the streets since it was early morning in the weekend and people tend to sleep at this hour. As he reached the Wayne manor gates, they opened automatically and he pulled his motorcycle to the circular driveway in front of the main entrance.

He was about to open the huge door when an elderly man opened them first.

"Oh hello Alfred." Jason greeted the old butler, trying to get past him. The butler raised an eyebrow but didn't step to the side.

"Master Jason, what is so urgent?" Alfred asked being only curious.

"I have to get to the cave ASAP." He answered and then Alfred stepped aside, letting him go inside. Jason rushed towards the old clocks which were hiding the secret entrance to the batcave. As soon as the doors opened, he slid inside followed by their butler.

When he ran down the staircase, he was met with the rest of his family baking dressed up in their uniforms. What was weird about this situation was that everyone was wearing their masks. It only happened when there was an intruder or a prisoner held in the batcave but it wasn't often.

"Put your mask on." Bruce told Jason as he neared the computer. He didn't question it so he took his red helmet and put it on. As he put the helmet on, the grey irises turned white as the helmet turned on.

"Who are we imprisoning now?" Jason asked curiously, thinking nothing of the file on Phantom pulled up on the huge screen of the computer. He was aware that his family was looking for the ghost and that they were trying to capture him for some time now.

"He won't talk to any of us unless you go inside and talk to him first." Tim informed Jason but he didn't say who. The teen thought that with all of those messages that they sent Jason, he would know who were they talking about. One thing that they didn't know was that he ignored their calls and messages for the time being when he was with Danny. It was only a week so what could have happened, right?

As he walked towards the interrogation room, he spotted a cell with green bars but he didn't question it. With all those crazy villains and meta humans, a person could never be sure. Every single meta had some sort of weakness, if it was something physical or a emotional trigger. Who knows, a green color can be a weakness too.

When Jason reached the door to the interrogation room, he suddenly stopped. He got a weird feeling as if he knew the person inside even if he didn't know who he was. Red hood slowly opened the door and stopped when he saw their newest prisoner.

A tall and muscular person with greenish skin and flaming hair was sitting in front oh him with his hands cuffed. When their eyes met, an evil smile appeared on the ghost face.

"Well, well, well, look who we got here." Phantom said with an amused tone.

"Dann..." Jason began but quickly cut himself on as he remembered about the secret camera watching over them. He slowly walked towards the chair in front of the ghost, trying to keep his posture straight and without any sign that he knew him personally.

"Are you playing as if you didn't know me? That plain hurts." The ghost remarked sarcastically, shifting a little. There was a long silence between the two ending with a distressed hero and a smirking villain. Red hood took a step away from the chair.

"I'll talk with you later." He mouthed at him while facing the camera with his back so they wouldn't see him. Jason quickly walked out of the room and let Batman do the work. He didn't have the will to face Danny's ghost half now. When he walked past his brothers, they gave him anxious looks because they have never ever seen him back out of an interrogation before.

"Uhhh... someone should go and talk to him." Dick said, being always the most caring out of them all but only because he showed it the most. "Ok I'll go." Dick offered himself since his brothers didn't show any initiative.

Batman opened the door to the interrogation room loudly to make his presence known. The dark knight walked towards the table but he didn't sit down, he just stood in his full height.

"You know, I can stand up too." Dan said, standing up from his seat to stretch his muscles a little. When he straightened his back, he was much taller than Batman, about a head. His flaming hair didn't help the case because they made him look even taller than he already was.

"Let's start simple." he said "Who are you." It was more of a statement then a question but it was Batman's way so go with it.

"Someone your red birdie knows." Phantom answered cryptically making Batman angry. He slammed his fist on the table, not being happy with his answer.

"I have enough evidence and witnesses to send you to jail for the rest of your life. You talk or you are going!" Batman spat angrily because he didn't like that his son was somehow involved with this murderer.

"What evidence?" Dan asked calmly, knowing that this would make Batman only angrier.

"You know what I mean." A batglare was sent his way but it had no effect. Batman knew that he wasn't a normal villain, he was something special.

"You mean the trail of dead people I left behind?"

"Good, you're catching up." Batman answered calmly, knowing that being angry wouldn't help him or this interrogation. "Are you aware of those hundreds of people you killed?"

"Yes and to let you know, I would do it again with pleasure." Dan said, now being serious.

"Dan, Why are you doing this? Just turn yourself in. It will be the easiest way." Danny said, sounding groggily because he just regained his conscious.

"Oh look who finally decided to wake up." Dan said in a teasing way, giving his hmuan half his full attention. While he was having a mental conversation with Danny, Batman was still asking him questions. The caped crusader realized only after a while that the ghost zoomed out and was in his own little world. He stopped talking and he just watched.

"And what if I want to cause more trouble?" He asked his human half knowing that he won't have an answer. All of Danny's answers and questions were basically the same. Always desperately trying to stop him. As Danny thought about it, it was pointless to reason with Dan. The only option was to stay quiet and save his nerves.

"Just as I thought." The ghost said out loud, surprising Batman a little. He was being distant for good 10 minutes and then he randomly said something. This only proved the fact that Phantom was having some serious mental issues, maybe something like The Ventriloquist.

"What's your connection with Red hood." Batman asked, continuing in the interrogation after Dans' space out.

"He shot me." Was his only answer. Dan was thinking about his, well Danny's time with Red hood or Jason. It wasn't the worst time in his life...

"Fuck you Danny, you're messing with my head." Dan growled internally. With his remark he only made Danny smile a little.

Dick and his brothers were watching intensely with their eyes glued to the screen. It was weird when the ghost spaced out for about 10 minutes and came back right after. They all could see the slightest change of Batman's features which showed that he was surprised but he hid it again because he's Batman.

Then Bruce went back to the interrogation, trying to get as much info as he could.

"What's your connection with Red hood?" Batman asked him the question everybody wanted an answer to. The ghost replied with a short "he shot me." and that was it.

Another question remained unanswered. Why was Jason acting so weird around Phantom? Dick was 100% sure it couldn't be because he shot him, after all, he shoots people every day much to Bruce's dislike. At the bottom, there was something but they couldn't put their finger on it.

The interrogation room fell in silence once again. Dick decided that he got enough info and started walking towards the stairs that led to the manor. He really wanted to know what was wrong with his younger brother even thought he maybe won't be so willing to share.

As he stepped out of the old clocks, the manor was dark, the only light source was the opened kitchen door. He knew it was Alfred so he headed upstairs to Jason's room. Dick walked in a normal pace so Jason would hear him coming. As he reached the door, he stretched his hand and knocked slightly.

"Jaybird, I know you're there." Dick said in a low voice because he knew that Jason could hear him. He just stood there waiting but with no response.

"I know you're there Jason and I'm coming in." Dick announced and turned the doorknob. He was met with a dark room and with a dark pile lying on the bed with his back to him. The oldest brother walked towards his younger one and sat at the end of his bed knowing that he wasn't asleep, just thinking.

They stayed there in silence for few minutes when Dick got bored and found himself an entertainment. Jason's red helmet was lying carelessly on the ground so he took it.

"Jason, what happened down there?" Dick asked in his soft brotherly voice.

"Nothing." Jason bit back quietly and he sighed. He wanted to tell Dick everything but it wasn't his secret, it was Danny's.

"I shot him, okay?" The lying teen gave in afterwards but he kept out the major details. Dick studied him for a while when he gave him a sad smile.

"I know you too well Jay and I also know that this isn't the real reason." Dick said and he put his hand on Jason's shoulder. It felt weird to be in the same house as Danny but at the same time not.

"And what if it is?" Jason asked bitterly.

"No it isn't." Dick stood his ground. "Whatever made you ran out of there, I can help you."

When he said 'ran out of there' Jason felt angry and bad at the same time. He felt like he was a coward running away from his newly brother who needed his helps. Dick saw the hesitation and decided to strike when he was most vulnerable.

"Did he do something to you?" He asked and Jason tensed up. Did Dan do something bad to him? No, well he killed those people but underneath the thick shell, was hiding an innocent and scared boy.

"You know the kid I took in?" Jason asked carefully, slowly sitting up but still facing the window. He changed the topic slightly but didn't go off of their theme.

"Yeah I know but I didn't catch his name."

"Well, his name is Danny, Danny Fenton..." he was about to continue when he was interrupted by his brother.

"You mean the kid of those dead scientist?" Dick was surprised. What was he doing here in Gotham?

"Yeah." Jason said with a sad smile remembering the short time he spent with Danny.

Dick saw his reaction and said; "You really care about him, don't you?"

"Yes I do..." Jason trailed off as he thought about how scared must he be when he's locked up down in the cave with Dan in control.
"... but he disappeared." He finished his sentence and looked out of the window.

"What does it have to do with the fact that you ran out of the room?" Dick wasn't dumb, he knew that Jason changed the subject on purpose but he didn't didn't want to leave it hanging. He knew what that boy meant to Jason and he didn't want to make him even more depressed that he already was so he let it go for now after he didn't get an answer.

"Maybe if I didn't go on THAT movie with him, we wouldn't be in this situation." Jason thought.

"I'm sure he's a strong kid. We will help you find him." Dick reassured his brother and gave him a hug. When he let go, he headed back to the cave, leaving thinking Jason behind.

"I'll talk to both of them when they aren't watching." Jason whispered to himself and took off his uniform changing into his pajamas. "I'll talk to him in the morning when everyone's away." He thought before he fell asleep.
