I Killed him

"Danny, it's time to wake up!" A voice shouted through the closed door to Danny's bedroom. The covers shifted and a head with spiky black hair appeared. The halfa yawned sleepily and headed for his bathroom to complete his morning routine.

"Come on Danny, you're going to be late." Now the voice could be recognized as his brother Jason who was impatiently walking in the hallway.

"Ok, ok, I'm coming." Danny replied annoyed, not liking that he was rushed right after he got out of his heavenly bed. The door opened and Danny was met with joyous older brother.

"You know that Bruce hates waiting." Jason poked his brother as he started walking towards the kitchen. Danny followed Jason to the kitchen to grab something to eat. He was starving since maintaining his ghost side took a lot of energy.

"And why exactly Bruce wants to see me?" Danny asked as he was looking inside of the double door fridge, looking for something to satisfy his stomach.

"For your first training." He explained in as if it was obvious. Danny gave his brother a confused look and decided to ask about it.

"I thought they weren't supposed to know." He whispered and looked at his older brother.

"Danny we went through this like million times. You know about them, they don't know about you." Jason whispered back annoyed. Nothing made sense which terrified the young halfa.

The younger boy followed his brother to the living room where they stopped in front of the old clock. Jason played with its hands for a little and then a secret entrance opened. Danny knew about a secret entrance but he would never think of looking inside of a clock. When they were both inside, the doors quietly closed behind them. A long and curved stairs lead downstairs where the batcave was hidden.

An uneasy feeling lurked in the back of Danny's mind, stopping his from making another step forward. 'Something bad is going to happen' he thought to himself as he took his first step. What made Danny even more suspicious was the stillness of Dan. Yes, he liked the times when his ghost half was quiet but now, Danny would be happy for any kind of response.

When Danny made his way down the stairs, the whole Wayne family was already there, all smiling. Maybe except Damian, he had his permanent scowl.

"What took you so long? I thought that we agreed to meet here 15 minutes ago." Bruce scolded the boy.

'Did I get amnesia or what? I don't remember anything.' The halfa thought as he eyed his new family suspiciously. They didn't seem to play anything on him or they were all just great actors.

"You ready for your training?" Tim asked excitedly from the big chair near the computer.

"I guess?" Danny replied unsure but decided to do what they asked. He would come back to the weird feeling later. Tim motioned to follow him to the sparing platform. The whole family followed them, interested in what was happening. After all, they didn't have a new member in a long time. (You know it's not true)

"Any preferred weapons?" Bruce asked from the corner of the room from where he was observing the whole situation. Danny thought for a moment. During his Phantom days, he didn't use much equipment. Only his powers, the thermos and some Fenton gadgets but never a real weapon.

"I know how to shoot with a bazooka but I don't think it counts as a useful weapon around here." Bruce chuckled lightly.

"That wouldn't be safe in this cave."

"Yeah..."

"First, you'll learn some hand to hand combat techniques and then you can choose your weapon and train with it." The adult gave Danny a small smile. "And please don't use guns." He scowled at the mention of those deadly weapons and gave Jason a glance. Jason gave him a smirk as a reply and purposely took out a gun out of nowhere. Danny had no idea where Jason kept all his things but it amazed him how he take out anything that he needed.

"I know how to defend myself." Danny replied stubbornly and crossed his arms. He didn't want the batfamily to find out his little secret but he wasn't going to play the helpless guy. After all, he had a good excuse for his fighting skills, his mother was a black belt.

"Then hit me." Tim challenges his younger brother and took a fighting stance. Danny didn't bother with the preparation, he just walked forward as he was used to. Today, he didn't have his ghost powers but he still could put up a good fight.

Tim threw the first punch but Danny dodged and kicked him in the side of his head, leaving him stunned. Danny aimed for his head again but it was a mistake. Tim expected it and caught his extended leg. The halfa wasn't a gymnast so all he could do in his human form was to do a spinner kick. With his spare foot, Danny leaped from the ground and kicked the vigilante right into his shoulder. It wasn't a strong kick but it was enough to set his leg free. Tim was forced to let his leg go because of the sudden weight he was holding and the rotation his hand was forced to.

Now they were both standing opposite of each other, sizing their opponent. Danny suddenly realized that Tim's hand was hanging loosely by his side AND he was doing nothing to help himself. The boy didn't show any sign of surrender even though he was disabled. Their audience must have seen Danny's face because Bruce stepped between them, stopping the fight.

He helped Tim to set his arm back and things were back to normal. "There were few mistakes but overall, you did good. Just don't try the same thing twice."

Danny stood there shocked. He just badly hurt his son as he was giving him advice?

"Danny it's okay. You didn't hurt me that much." Tim reassured the halfa but it didn't make him feel any better.

"Fenton, I would like to test your stealth skills." The youngest of the family said. "I'll give you some time to hide and then we'll see if you have any potential."

Damian was the youngest one, but he wasn't dumb. You could sneak on him as much as you wanted but he always knew about you. Danny took this as a challenge and looked around himself, searching for a good hiding spot.

"I'll give you 5 minutes." The kid said and headed for the stairs to the manor. It was a cue for Danny to hide. With his enhances eyesight, he found a small space in the rocky wall where he could fit perfectly. His hiding spot was high in the walls of the cave but Danny didn't mind the physical activity. The halfa easily climbed up the rocks and hid himself.

"We'll see who's sneaky." Danny whispered and he leaned against the wall, waiting.

Suddenly, Danny turned around in an alarming state, triggered by tapping on his small shoulder.

"Am I losing my mind?" Danny whispered to himself and looked around. There was no one, nothing that could touch him.

"Wait something doesn't feel right, something feels wrong and I've been feeling this way, for far too long. Since the morning." The halfa thought, waiting for a response from his ghost side. Nothing came and soon, footsteps could be heard coming his way. Danny peered around the corner and saw Damian standing in the middle of the cave, scanning his surroundings for any danger.

Danny felt the urge to stand up and fly down, but he knew he couldn't do it without his powers. A familiar feeling of turning invisible struck Danny and he wasn't wrong. His hand was INVISIBLE. When no one could see him, Danny walked towards the latch and found himself looking down at Damian. Surprisingly, he had all of his abilities but something was missing. The ability to control his body.

"No! It can't be possible. You can't take over in my human form!" Danny screamed but he was trapped inside of his own head. Frozen still with fear, his body plunging to the ground form the great height.

"If only I could control my flight, then I could convince myself that I wasn't going to kill Damian with my body weight." Instead of slowing down his speed, the gravitation made him go even faster. In the midair, he felt as the invisibility went away, making him visible to the people standing around. Everyone saw him dive right at Damian accept Damian. He was currently scanning the other side of the cave and he turned too late.

Danny's weight multiplied by his speed made him a deadly falling object. The sickening sound of crashing bones and an agonized scream echoed around the cave. The halfa stood up bloody but it wasn't his blood, it was Damian's. A crazy smile appeared on Danny's face as everyone ran forward. The looks of pure horror in their eyes and a betrayal in Jason's eyes made Danny smile even more.

"Your destinies are sealed." Danny deadpanned and then everything went black.

The halfa shot up from his bed, drenched in cold sweat. His hands hurting from gripping the sheets.

"It was only a nightmare, not real." Danny whispered to himself, trying to calm himself down. Soon, footsteps could be heard from the outside and his door opened. The light from the hallway momentarily blinded Danny so he wasn't able to tell who paid him a visit. When his eyes adjusted to the light, he recognized the person as Jason. Thanks god.

"You okay?" Jason asked his younger brother and he sat by his side. There was a long silence only interrupted by Danny's shallow breathing. The halfa needed a physical contact right away, to assure him that he was in the real world and not in his nightmare. He leaned against Jason and closed his eyes.

"I killed him...." Danny sobbed into Jason's T-shirt. "I couldn't control myself."

"Who did you kill?" The older male asked carefully and pulled Danny into a hug.

"Da...Damian."

A light chuckle escaped Jason's lips and he gave Danny a small smile. "You didn't kill the little brat. He's still sleeping in his room."

"But it looked so real..." The halfa whispered and held back his tears that threatened to spill.

"Nightmares can be pretty scary and I know what I'm talking about. Everyone living in this house went through something bad that caused them some ugly dreams, so you don't have to worry. I'm here and everybody is alive."

Jason said something more about his family but Danny didn't listen. He was slowly drifting to sleep in the arms of his older brother who loved him. The halfa snuggled even closer if it was possible and fell asleep in half sitting, half lying position.

It was about three in the morning. The young vigilante didn't have much sleep last days either so he slowly drifted into sleep too. Before he fell asleep completely, he lied down on Danny's bed and covered then both with the warm blanket.

A little filler chapter but with lot of fluff . I just couldn't get myself to write and this is all I could master in one night so I hope you like.

If you'd like to see someone (from DC or Phantom) in the future, don't be shy and write me. Just please write the full name 😉👍
