"Everyone in position?" Batman's voice rang through the comm. Answers came right away, everyone eager to have it over already. The batfamily was set up around the center where was the highest chance of meeting the ghost. To an untrained eye, the soft glow in the sky would slip but the batfamily caught it. It was a sign that their enemy was on his way, right where they wanted him to be.

Soon, a flying figure could be seen hovering over the city. To a normal person, the flying being would look like a superhero who was looking for any danger but the real heroes knew better.

"Target is lowering, be prepared," Red Robin's voice announced to the whole batfamily via comms. They all had their weapons ready and loaded, aiming at the nothing suspecting ghost.

"100 yards."

"50 yards."

Red Robin was cut off in the middle of his counting with someone singing. Just then he realized that the song came from above, from the ghost. As he listened closer, he could hear the words.

"Do you hear that..." he whispered into his comm to let his family know.

Tonight, I'm gonna have myself a real good time.
I feel alive and the world I'll turn it inside out, yeah.
And floating around in ecstasy
So don't stop me now don't stop me
'Cause I'm having a good time, having a good time

As the first words of paragraph were sung, the whole batfamily recognized the song as Don't stop me now from Queen.

I'm a shooting star, leaping through the sky
Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity
I'm a racing car, passing by like Lady Godiva
I'm gonna go, go, go
There's no stopping me
I'm burnin' through the sky, yeah
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm traveling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you

"I know you're there." Dan said as he stopped singing. Nightwing knew there was no point in hiding as he could hear their heartbeats. As he stepped out, he got a full view of their enemy, floating carelessly next to their hiding spots.

"Why the song?" Red Robin asked the older ghost in a mix of curiosity and wariness. The only villain who actually sang on the battlefield was the Music Meister and only with the purpose of hypnosis.

"It suits this situation." The ghost replied as he was talking to an old friend.

"Don't hurt them Dan, please..." Danny pleaded, being fully aware of his ghost half's intentions. As always, the boy has been only laughed at.

"You think you can stop me with those ectoranium weapons?" Phantom asked his opponents, being able to feel the green radiation surrounding him. When he stood far enough, it couldn't hurt him and that's why he kept his distance.

The battle was going suspiciously quiet without any actual fight. They were just staring at each other, waiting for their opponent to make the first move.

"I'm getting bored and it's you fault." Dan states and then looked at the streets below. There weren't many people, just few curious by passers who certainly had a death wish when they stood in the eyesight of Phantom. A small beam of energy appeared on Phantom's hand, making everyone around tense up. In a blink of an eye, the green ray was shot down at the streets, aiming for an unsuspecting person walking below.

"NOoooo!" Danny screamed, seeing the person hit the ground. Few people who were standing around gathered around the dead person, examining him from a distance. Now a full hand of ecto-fire was formed, being created for s single purpose, to kill those people. The human side was so desperate, he wanted to save all those innocent people...

Suddenly a green net hit the ghost from behind. As he was distracted by his little play, he didn't notice the youngest member of the vigilante family to sneak on the building behind him. The force of the net was so strong that it sent the ghost flying with it and it pinned him to the wall. Phantom let out an unwanted hiss of pain as the green net was pressed against his skin, leaving burn marks.

"Now you made me angry." Dan huffed as he pushed himself off of the wall getting rid of the net. The ghost stood back to the wall, being surrounded by all four vigilantes, each one of them holding an anti-ghost weapon of some sorts. Batman and Nightwing held anti-ghost rays whereas Red Robin And Robin held another set of nets.

"Surrender and you'll come out unharmed." Batman said in his deep voice, having absolutely no effect on the ghost. The younger boys were all startled by the person in front of them. He wasn't afraid of Batman at all, heck even the Joker was afraid of him.

"You can't make me." Phantom replied, using a similar tone as Batman. "And I have to go now." In the middle of his sentence, the ghost shot upwards giving the people surrounding him no time to react. When he was out of the reach of their weapons, he stopped abruptly turning towards the heroes who were still standing on the rooftop.

"Don't even think of hurting them or you won't like what's coming." The boy inside said, immediate regretting that he opened his mouth. Sometimes Danny couldn't stop himself and he was forced to say something that was itching him in his throat, wanting to get out.

"So what if I don't kill them now but I'll have just some fun." Dan didn't want his human side to lose sanity YET from seeing all those murders. He was fully aware what he was causing Danny by the killing, he was driving him literally crazy. Instead, he offered him a different option but without going into the details. You could feel the wave of relief wash over the boy making him relax.

Danny was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't notice the ghost lowering in the air, slowly approaching the awaiting heroes.

"I surrender..." the ghost said in a joyous voice surprising everyone around, even the mighty bat.

"Is this another game?" Nightwing said, giving their enemy an incredulous look. The hero with blue symbol was getting lost. "Your acting weird. First you killed a man and now you are surrendering?"

"You're telling me that I can't behave and do what's right?" Dan asked in an offended voice, his feet now touching the ground. The heroes were still aiming at him but there was a little change. The blue and the red costumed people were slipping on their battle stances, their attention moving to their little 'right or wrong' chat.

"No, that's not it. That can't be the only reason for you to behave so... nice." Red Robin joined the conversation, taking a small but not threatening step forward. The ghost just shrugged and gave a smirk.

"People... well ghosts change." Dan shrugged, giving off a relaxed and friendly vibe.

"But not overnight." Robin pointed out, giving the ghost his own version of a bat glare. Phantom glared back, having a silent war with the kid.

There was a long silence, the only sound that could be heard were the city sounds and fluttering of capes.

"Can we get this over?" Red Robin asked annoyed, covering up the fact that he didn't know if the ghost was only playing with them. He's only making fun of you. Not a single person with as many deaths as he caused could have a sudden change of heart. Red Robin thought, eying the ghost in front of them warily.

"This is getting boring again." Dan thought, making Danny flinch. Not even 5 good minutes passed and he was again getting bored with his OWN idea! "Your voice will chase away all of my sanity!" The boy cried. "I've tried so hard to tell myself that your gone, but though your still with me." (Do you recognize this song?) Dan raised an internal eyebrow at the antics of his human side.

"Well I tried to be nice..." Phantom said after a while with a shrug. He rose from the ground but didn't get far since he was still surrounded by the heroes. A green beam was shot his way and he easily avoided it, being trained by his own experience from his hero life and villain life.

"You missed." The ghost laughed while turning to the source of the beam. An angry looking Nightwing stood there with his ray aimed at his target. "Get to the ground with your hands above your head or I will shoot." He threatened, making the ghost smile. Those poor human beings thought they could beat him with some weak guns and nets. Yes, they hurt but it was nothing compared to some things he went through before.

"You can't hit something you can't see." A deep chuckle followed, bouncing off of the nearby buildings creating an echo. Batman has dealt with invisible people before so he knew what he had to do to make the person visible again. The vigilante took out a small pellet from his utility belt and he threw it right where the ghost stood the last time. As he expected, the bomb hit its target and it exploded into red powder, outlining the invisible ghost.

The hero family was about to make their move when the powder suddenly fell to the ground. They quickly remembered what else the ghost could do. He was able to phase through solid objects and that is exactly what he has done right now. The four people frantically looked around, searching for any misshaped object that would show them where the ghost was.

An idea popped up in Red Robin's mind, making him facepalm.  "I'm so stupid... just track his heat signature." He spoke out loud since everyone was near.

"Yes you are." Came a small reply from the youngest, making them both glare at each other.

"Nothing's here." Batman said in his gravely voice, trying to find the heat signature again but with no luck. "The ability to turn intangible must have caused his signature to disappear as well." the man voiced his thoughts.

Few long minutes have passed since Phantom had disappeared. There was no sign of him anywhere and they were starting to think that he just flew away, heading home or somewhere.

"Let's search the city." Batman ordered his sons, making them sigh. Even though they wanted to do everything else but search for Phantom , they obeyed anyway. The bat themed vigilante took out his grappling hook, aiming for the rooftop of a nearby building when a sudden force knocked him over. He landed on his back, being pinned by strong and invisible hands. They found him, or better he found them again.

"He has Batman!" Nightwing shouted and everyone rushed towards him. Robin shot out a net, aiming just above his father where the ghost could be situated. As he suspected, the ghost was there so the net tangled itself around him.

"Ha! They have you now and they will lock you up!" Danny shouted in a victorious voice, doing a small internal victory dance.

"Your still part of me so you are going to get locked up as well." Dan punted out, ruining Dannys' sweet moment of joy. They both knew that there was no way escaping now and they also knew that Dan won't go down without coursing some trouble before. Dan was able to untangle one of his hands and he aimed at the closest person which happened to be Red Robin.

"WATCH OUT!" His younger and older brother screamed in sync but it was too late. Since Phantom was laying on the ground tied up, he wasn't able to aim properly so the blast only hit his shoulder. The force of the green ray sent him falling to the ground. His brothers rushed to his side to check if he was ok and helped him on his feet. While they were helping Red, Batman walked towards Phantom, taking out green handcuffs and putting them on Dan's hands behind his back. With a single punch, the ghost was out cold. The vigilante looked at his partners and when he saw they were ok, he pressed a button on his utility belt.

After few moments, a black shape flew towards them, being recognized as the batwing. The machinery was so quiet that with all the city noises around, you would never hear it approaching. On the other hand, when Batman needed a good distraction, the plane could make such loud noises that could be heard from miles away. The plane landed quietly on the rooftop, opening the cockpit for the driver to get in. Since it had only two seats, Batman tossed their prisoner in the back, making sure he won't escape. Then he jumped into the pilots seat and before he took off he told his sons: "the bat mobile is on its way here, Nightwing you drive." As he finished his sentence, the cockpit closed and the plane took off as silently as it landed.

"Yessss." Nightwing quietly cheered at the fact that he was about to drive the bat mobile. As the high tech car arrived, they laid Red on the backseats and they drove off to the batcave to meet with their mentor again.
