Chapter 3: The General of Atlas

(Winter is seen discussing plans with the Ace Operatives.)

Harriet: If Superman possesses Brainiac's technology, then he can easily turn metahumans into his puppets.

Marrow: Even so, he is still vulnerable to kryptonite, right?

Winter: Right. That's the plan.

(Meanwhile at the Fortress of Solitude, Superman is seen talking with Arthur Watts)

Superman: Make it quick, Watts.

Watts: I found out something which Bruce kept for a long time.

Superman: Like a last resort, huh? Proceed!

Watts: He had a fifth adoptive son.

Superman: Another adoptive son?

(Then Arthur Watts clicks the button and a panel showing Neo Wayne's face)

Watts: His name is Neo Wayne, the current Batman after Bruce became Black Oracle.

Superman: The current Batman, huh?

(Then Superman remembers the black and gray energy streak which incapacitated his soldiers.)

Superman: There's no doubt. He was the one who saved those disobedient brats.

Watts: Not to mention that he is the leader of this new Insurgency.

Superman: You did a good work, Watts. (walks away) Call me when you find out more about this new Insurgency.

(Meanwhile at Atlas, various citizens are seen frozen by Killer Frost, then killed by Hawkgirl and Yokai. Then the Ace Operatives come in and fight the regime trio. Killer Frost tries to freeze Clover, who uses his weapon to grab her and throw her towards Winter, who slashes her.)

Winter: Nobody harms Atlas without punishment!

(They fight. Winter's gylph summoning prove to be superior to Killer Frost's freezing abilities, and the current general of Atlas easily brings her down.)

Winter: And THIS is your punishment!

(Elm and Hawkgirl's weapons clash. The other Ace Operatives try to attack Yokai, who easily shoves them off. Then he is confronted by Winter)

Winter: You remind me of the former general of Atlas.

Yokai: James Ironwood... I know him.

Winter: You both don't care about your friends.

Yokai: I had no choice! Superman threatened to kill my daughter if I didn't join him!

Winter: Selina Kyle told me the same thing about Bruce Wayne. But this doesn't matter now. Let's finish this!

(They fight. Despite Yokai having mastered his microbots, he wasn't prepared to face Winter. Her abilities proved to be more effective and she manages to defeat Yokai.)

Winter: My condolences to your daughter, Callaghan.

(Elm is still fighting Hawkgirl, Clover tries to use his weapon, but a batarang comes towards him, and Harriet barely manages to destroy it. Then Black Oracle comes in alongside various Regime Soldiers.)

R. Soldier: Hands up!

Vine: I don't think so.

(Vine and Marrow fight some Regime Soldiers while Winter manages to slash other Regime Soldiers, then she prepares to face Black Oracle.)

Winter: I don't know what he did to you, Bruce. But I will save you!

B. Oracle: Kal perfected me, nothing more.

(They fight. Due to being mind controlled, Bruce didn't fight at his best, and this becomes Winter's biggest advantage as she manages to defeat the fallen Dark Knight.)

Winter: Kal weakened you, Bruce.

(Elm starts having troubles dealing with Hawkgirl. But then Winter freezes Shayera's legs, causing the tanagharian to fall. As Elm withdraws, Winter approaches Hawkgirl.)

Winter: Only one of you remains!

Hawkgirl: Superman will enjoy setting Atlas as an example!

Winter: Over my dead body!

(They fight. Due to being able to fly, Hawkgirl believes to have advantage over Winter. But this proves to be her biggest mistake as the general of Atlas uses her gylph summoning and brings the tanagharian down.)

Winter: Too much confidence tend to be our downfall, huh?

(Killer Frost gets up, only to be punched by Harriet. Then she decides to approach Yokai.)
