Episode 123 - Music to my ears

DHAK DHAK! DHAK DHAK! Vidurshi's heart started beating super fast looking at Rohan. She felt like it was so loud that he could hear it. Fluttering her eyes fast, she moves right to get away from him but "Ouch" instead gets herself hit on the head near the shelf. Rohan comes near to press on her head on the hurt spot but

Vi (stammering) - Nahi. Nahi. Nahi. It's okay. It's okay. It's not paining that much.

Rohan takes a step nearer due to which she takes several steps back and laughs awkwardly,

Vi (stammering) - Don't worry! Main bilkul teek hoon. Totally fine.

She walks backwards, dashes into some chairs clumsily still looks at Rohan and smiles to assure him that she's totally okay. And walks out of the door.

Inside the room, Rohan smiles seeing these and suddenly, rolled his eyes and noded his head slowly as if he got a tune in his head. He takes the guitar near by and sits in his chair.

Meanwhile, Vidurshi was outside with her forehead on the wall. She turns around, now leaning backwards on the wall,

Vi (to herself) - Aisa chalta rahega toh main heart attack se hi marr jaa'oongi. I didn't even know heart can beat so loud. This is so embarrassing!!

<Music plays - Mera mann (Nautanki Saala)>

Vidurshi hears the sound of a guitar playing that she walks towards the music room curiously. She sees Rohan playing the guitar with a smile on his face.

Mmhmm.

As Rohan hums, he remembers Vidurshi looking at him when he was lying on her lap, her leaning on his shoulder throughout the flight back due to fever and also having a stroll at midnight when Vidurshi was walking backwards looking at him with a smile.

Tujh se hi to milee hai raahat

Tu hi to meri hai chaahat

Tujh se hi to judi zindagi

Rohan making up his own lines, sings while he looked at his diary (not accessible to anyone) which had music notes without lyrics. Vidurshi leaning on the wall by the door listens to him sing and she enjoys the words in the song.

Teri yaadein hain kuchh adhoori

Saans aadhee hai kuchh hai poori

Aankhon mein hai kaisi ye nami

Rohan continues to remember. The first time he met Vidurshi long ago by the corridor and she looked at him (7th grade). He remembers looking at her during the snow break in Manali, and lying to Ishaan that he was looking at Siyali. He also remembers when Vidurshi was confused by many boys who asked for dance during the last day of Karishma, he was the one who came to her rescue and she smiled at him.

Mera mann, kehne laga

Paas aa ke na tu door jaa

Chhoone de, honth tere

Zaraa saanson mein apni basaa aa..

He remembered how after singing together for the first time (Jaise Mera tu), Vidurshi hugged him. And also during the vacation in beach, she hugged him when trying to escape the crab in Sid's hand. He also remembered how they held hands during the dancing rehersal in Karishma and Vidurshi looked at him surprised.

He stops singing and remembered why she was surprised holding his hands. "Please help.me. Bacha'o. Please" he remembered Vidurshi's voice

[Flash back] - Ref to S02E17

During Diwali, Vidurshi was stuck in the store room in fire when she reaches the window. She cries for held holding the hands on a boy on the window bar. Outside the window was Rohan.

Ro - Daro math. Main aa raha hoon. Ya? I'm coming for you.

Rohan runs to the door which was locked. Fire had started from the other window and reached to the door which made the door hot and unable to open. Rohan breaks in through the door and runs to her. Vidurshi stood weakly in the smoke and was about to faint when Rohan caught her.

Rohan brings her out to the corridor and puts her down. Holding her in his arms, Rohan tried to wake her up,

Ro (tensed, scared) - Vidurshi! Vidurshi! Please get up! Please. Please. Please get up.

A usually calm Rohan was now scared and tensed. He looked around but couldn't find anyone.

Ro (scared) - Vi! Vi! Please!

He leaves her by the corridor and goes to get help. After walking a few steps, he turns to look at Vidurshi with red eyes and runs. As he comes back knowing that the rescue team was here, he sees Parth holding onto Vidurshi as they took her to the hospital. Rohan breathed out loud in relief. As Parth carried her, Vidurshi's hand brushed Rohan's as they crossed. Rohan turned out looking at her with complicated emotions.

[Flash back ends]

(Sings slowly)

Mera mann, kehne laga

Paas aa ke na tu door jaa

Chhoone de, honth tere

Zaraa saanson mein apni basaa aa..

He started to sound sad as he continued singing as now he started remembering the painful moments. When Vidurshi couldn't reach for his hand and slipper the stairs, when Vidurshi cried over Parth and Rohan was by her side, when Vidurshi was by his side after his fight with Sid while the others didn't dare to go near him when he was this angry. And Finally, He remembered that two of them sitting by the river during the night and talking during their school trip.

And finally that brought a smile on his face. As he looks at the door, Vidurshi rolls back swifty to avoid Rohan's gaze.

<Music - Mera mann female (Nautanki Saala)>

Vidurshi walked, rather danced her way in the corridor. Next day morning, she woke up with a big smile on her face. And as soon as she was off the bed, she danced around holding a pink duppatta (to match her night clothes) and dashes into Siyali who looks at her with a funny expression. She puts the duppatta on Siyali's head; wraps it around her head and dances away while the rest of the girls look at her confused.

Later that day, Rohan and Vidurshi practice for Aditya sir's send off party. Rohan plays the piano while Vidurshi sings sitting next to him. After he finishes playing, Rohan turns to Vidurshi who was sitting by his side with her brightest smile that he has ever seen.

The two of them look at each other with smiles not aware of why the other person smiled too. But why the other person smiled didn't matter, as the two felt happy in their own time, space and thoughts. And that was enough. For now.
