The next morning, Feng Jiu woke up late, and she quickly got up to check on her homework.

"Wait! Why is it completed? Did Di Jun do it for me? It can't be, as we can't use our powers to complete it." She thought to herself.

Then she brought it out to the dining table, where Dong Hua was sitting at, and flashed it across his face.

"Did you finish my homework for me?" She asked.

"What do you think?" Dong Hua then looked up from his newspaper to look at her.

"But I can't use my powers on this, so how did you do it?!"

"Did you forget that I'm Dong Hua Di Jun? So how are you going to make up to me for last night and for helping you complete your homework?" He smirked.

She then went over to sit on Dong Hua's lap and kissed him on his cheeks. "This is good enough." She said, and then she stood up.

Dong Hua then pulled her back onto his lap and replied, "What you mean this is enough?" Then he leaned in to kiss her. Feng Jiu then started giggling, "It feels ticklish!"

Then she suddenly recalled something, and she said, "Oh! Before I forget...." Then she quickly stood up and ran towards the room.

Dong Hua looked at her run away with a puzzled look on his face, and then he continued his breakfast.

After a short while, she ran back out, holding a backpack.

"What's that?" Dong Hua asked curiously.

"Oh, this? I packed some stuff for my swimming class later." Feng Jiu replied casually, and she sat down to eat her breakfast too.

"Swimming class? You're not going to wear a bikini in front of other guys, Xiao Bai."

"I packed a full-body swimming suit, so don't worry about it! And I would only wear that for you." She smiled sweetly at him.

Dong Hua then started to imagine how she would look in a bikini, and he said, "I'll be teaching you swimming lessons tonight, Xiao Bai." And he smirked at her.

Feng Jiu then replied sarcastically, "I'll be sure to wear my full-body swimming suit for tonight's lesson too. It would cover my whole body from head to toe, and with no skin exposed at all."

"Oh? Then you'll get extra swimming lessons. You would definitely get muscle aches the next day, from swimming so much."

Feng Jiu then stuck her tongue out at him, and then they continued eating their breakfast before heading to school.

They arrived in school, and Feng Jiu quickly bid Dong Hua goodbye and ran to her classroom.

"Good morning, Xue Shan and Wen Li!" Feng Jiu said cheerfully. Xue Shan then replied, "Good morning, Xiao Jiu! I bet you were exhausted after the first day at school. But don't worry, it won't be that bad today other than that swimming class." 

"Oh, why? I didn't check my time-table yet as I was too tired." Feng Jiu then started to yawn. Xue Shan then replied excitedly, "We only have literature, sports, and my favourite class today!"

"What's your favourite class?" Feng Jiu raised an eyebrow.

"Modern Love and Dating Culture. The teacher is the nicest of them all as well. Not sure if you heard of him, it's Mr. Si Ming." Feng Jiu then spoked without thinking, "Si Ming? Yeah, he's my good friend."

"Wait. How? He's way older than all of us!" Xue Shan exclaimed. Feng Jiu then quickly explained herself, "Uhh... I mean, he's my dad's good friend."

"Oh... That would make sense then. Anyway, I'm so excited to attend that class! He's a popular teacher for sure, and he doesn't give anyone homework too."

"No homework?! Si Ming really is the best!" Feng Jiu thought to herself, and then the literature teacher came in.

The teacher then looked at everyone sternly and said, "Take out your homework and submit it to me now. People who didn't complete their homework would be punished by writing 20 more chapters tonight. And if you don't want to write more chapters, you better finish your homework."

Feng Jiu swiftly took out her homework and put it on her table. Then she noticed everyone else was frowning, and they didn't have anything on their tables. She then tapped on Xue Shan's shoulder and asked, "Where's your homework?"

Xue Shan then knitted her brows and replied, "I didn't finish it. I stayed up late into the night, and I only managed to finish six chapters. Now I'm afraid that our teacher would punish me."

The literature teacher then slammed the table and said furiously, "Nobody did their homework?" Feng Jiu then slowly raised her hand, and she whimpered, "I finished it."

"Very good, at least we have one person in the class who does her homework. Bring your homework up here so that I can check it." He replied. Feng Jiu then strutted towards the teacher's table, and she waved the homework in front of him, like a proud peacock showing off.

The teacher then checked it through briefly and replied sternly, "Very well. It's indeed fully completed. Everyone should learn from Xiao Jiu and set her as your role model." Feng Jiu proudly thought to herself, "Lucky I have a powerful husband. I need to repay him tonight for being so good to me! Guess I would be cooking his favourite sweet and sour fish then!"

She then smiled brightly and replied to the teacher, "Thank you, Sir." Then he replied, "Since Xiao Jiu can do her homework, I'm sure everyone else would be able to do it with no excuses. Everyone else would be punished to write 30 chapters, and Xiao Jiu will be doing just ten chapters today."

Feng Jiu's smile disappeared instantly, and she started frowning while thinking to herself, "Another ten chapters?! At this rate, I would drown in my homework. If I don't finish it, they would know that someone else did it for me."

"Get back to your seat, and I'll be starting the lesson now." Everyone then settled down, and the class started.

Feng Jiu then started to secretly copy her chapters during the class as she was afraid that she wouldn't be able to finish it tonight.

Xue Shan then turned around and said, "Wow, you're dedicated for sure. I honestly have no idea how to finish 30 chapters, and I couldn't even complete ten last night. I guess I'm just going to ignore it and just not do it."

Feng Jiu then replied confusedly, "You can do that? I thought you couldn't go against your teachers."

Xue Shan and Wen Li then laughed, "How long have you been home-schooled?  It's the 21st century, so nobody cares about that anymore. If we don't think it's right, we just don't follow it."

Feng Jiu pondered, "Hmm...? Everything changed from the time when I was still in school. Am I facing age-gap issues now? But it can't be... Me and Di Jun didn't have this problem between us despite us having such a big age-gap."

Xue Shan and Wen Li then fell asleep during class again. The literature teacher was weird in a way that he didn't care if people slept during his class, and he only cared if his students completed their homework or not.

Feng Jiu then continued copying her chapters, but she was struggling with it and couldn't even finish half of chapter 1.

The bell rang, and it was time for their 'Modern Love and Dating Culture' class, taught by Si Ming.

Everyone then started to whine after the class ended, and a few classmates gave Feng Jiu a cold-eyed stare. Some of them even said, "She's spoiling the market, and now we have to do more homework. Why did she have to show off her completed homework?"

One guy even came up to her and said to her sarcastically, "Thanks a lot."

Feng Jiu felt so upset and outcasted, but she didn't understand why they hated her. She then asked Xue Shan, "Did I do something wrong?" Then she replied to Feng Jiu, "Not really, it's just because you're the only one who finished your homework, and now our teacher is punishing us by making us write more."

Feng Jiu frowned and replied, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it. I was just afraid to get punished too." Xue Shan and Wen Li then told her to ignore what those people said.

At this moment, Si Ming came walking into the room with a huge smile on his face.

Everyone was also excited to see him because everyone liked him. Feng Jiu instantly felt better after seeing Si Ming, and she waved subtly to him. Si Ming then gave her a sweet smile, and then he greeted the class.

"Hi everyone, I'm Mr. Si Ming, and I'm here to teach you guys about Modern Love and Dating Culture. Don't worry; we won't have any homework from this class so everyone can just sit back and relax. If you have any questions later on, feel free to raise them up to me. I'll start teaching now."

Xue Shan then turned back to Feng Jiu, "I'm so excited to attend this class. I heard a lot about it, and now we are old enough to learn it." Feng Jiu then tilted her head to the side slightly and replied confusedly, "So what is it about? Why do we have to learn about Modern Love and Dating? Doesn't it just comes naturally?"

"Well, you're lucky that you already have a boyfriend. It's so hard to get a partner now, and people aren't that faithful as compared to the past. With online dating and speed matchmaking programs now, it's easy for them to cheat as well."

"What's online dating? Don't people just go on normal dates?" Feng Jiu was confused, and she didn't understand what was online dating. She assumed that it was people going on dates online, and she didn't understand how that would work out.

Xue Shan then laughed out loud, "Did your parents lock you up in a cave? Online dating is where you go online and find a potential partner. Then you meet them in real life and see if the both of you are suitable. If you find them not suitable, you just find another partner."

Feng Jiu was even more confused at this point, and she thought to herself, "You can change partners that easily? Back then, if you're seen outside with a guy, everyone would know that you're dating or married. And if you're often seen with different guys, people would think badly of you."

Then she replied to Xue Shan, "But in our fox clans, once we had our hearts set on someone, we would never change our hearts and be with them forever."

Wen Li then replied, "Wow, you guys are sure old fashioned. Nobody really does that anymore. Divorce is so normal, and so many people are going through it. My aunt and uncle are also divorced, same with a few other couples that I know of."

"Divorce...?! You mean if I got married, my husband could divorce me anytime too?! I'm just saying IF I was married, not saying that I am." Feng Jiu exclaimed.

Xue Shan then replied, "Wow! They really don't teach you anything back home, huh? Of course, he could divorce you anytime, and it's an easy process now. You just have to go to any Municipal Court to file for your divorce, and it would be approved within the same day."

"So, the husband doesn't have to produce a valid reason for divorcing his wife?" Feng Jiu asked curiously. Xue Shan shook her head lightly and replied, "No, not anymore. Times have changed, and now people divorce for the smallest reasons."

Feng Jiu thought to herself, "What? So Di Jun could divorce me anytime if he's not happy with me...?"

Xue Shan then added on, "Xiao Jiu, this is why you need to focus on Mr. Si Ming's lesson, and then keep yourself updated on all this."

Before the class ended, Si Ming asked everyone if they had any questions for him.

A girl then raised her hands and asked, "You talked about Gender Equality in today's lesson and you also mentioned that in the past, girls have to listen to a guy and do everything that he says. But now it's the 21st century and that we no longer have to listen to them. What if that guy is your husband? Do we still have to listen to him?"

Si Ming then calmly replied, "Yes, it's different now. And even if he's your husband, you don't have to listen to everything that he says. It also depends on the situation and whether you feel it's right or not. Talking about this topic, I would also like to teach everyone about self-protection. So I'll first ask a question, and the girls will raise their hands one by one to answer. Then I'll ask another question later on, and the guys would answer them."

Si Ming then asked the first question, "So if your boyfriend or husband tries to touch you without asking for your permission first, what should you do or say?"

Xue Shan immediately raised her hand and answered, "I'll kick him and punch his face." Si Ming then shook his head and replied, "That's a little too violent, maybe you can tone it down to scolding him and asking him to respect your wishes."

The next few girls also gave their answers, "Call the police!" "Say no to him firmly, and if he does it again, walk away," "Tell him off!"

Then it was finally Feng Jiu's turn to answer, and she was confused with the other girls' answers. "Uh... Allow him to do so...?"

Everyone started laughing at Feng Jiu, and Si Ming just quickly told her to sit down because he knew exactly why she said that answer. Feng Jiu sat down, and Xue Shan turned over to her, "You shouldn't allow your boyfriend or husband to do that. If he wants to do that, he needs to seek your permission first."

"You mean every time he wants to do that; he needs to ask for permission?"

"Yeah, he needs to. Don't be too naive, because someone else would take advantage of you. It's okay; I'll slowly teach you."

Feng Jiu then smiled at Xue Shan and replied, "Thank you so much. I don't even know about all this! I guess coming to school was useful, after all."

Then Si Ming asked his next question, "So if your girlfriend or wife didn't give you permission to touch her, what would you do or say?"

Wen Li immediately raised his hand too and answered, "I will definitely not touch my girlfriend without her permission; that's what a gentleman should do." Then he looked over to Xue Shan, but she didn't notice him looking.

Si Ming then nodded his head and replied, "Good answer. A real gentleman would never touch his partner without her permission."

The next few guys also started to answer one by one, "I won't touch her unless she touches me first." , "I will respect her and not touch her." "Yes, I don't think a real man should do that."

Feng Jiu was even more confused when she heard all the answers, and she thought to herself, "But Di Jun doesn't even ask me for permission whenever he touches me. He just does it whenever he wants to, and I also allowed him to do so because I liked it too. Wow, I think I'm really getting old. I really can't understand this modern dating culture!"

Then the bell rang, and the class ended. Feng Jiu then smiled at Si Ming and subtly waved him goodbye. Si Ming then left the class after that.

It was lunch-time, and Feng Jiu secretly went to look for Dong Hua. She bought two lunch sets from the canteen and then headed towards his private office, trying to see if he was there.

She was lucky because Dong Hua was indeed alone in his office, and he was focused on marking some history class homework. Feng Jiu then quietly opened the door and sneaked in slowly, as she wanted to scare Dong Hua.

"So, you think I won't notice you coming in, just because I can't see or hear you?" Dong Hua said calmly.

"Not fair, you always know! But you always get the chance to scare me whenever I'm busy with something and didn't notice you behind me!" Feng Jiu pouted.

"Aww. My little fox is upset now. Come here, let me give you a big hug to make it up to you." Then he gestured for her to come over. Feng Jiu then thought to herself, "Hmm... Should I listen or not? Just now, Si Ming taught us that we don't have to listen to our husbands. But he also said that it depends on the situation. I think this should be okay, right?"

Then Feng Jiu ran over to Dong Hua and hugged him, "Di Jun, I missed you! I bought two lunch sets so we can eat here together."

"I'm a little busy here, though. I still have to mark these papers and also plan the lessons for your class tomorrow." He then looked down and continued marking.

"My class? You're coming to our class to teach tomorrow?! I can't wait! At least I will get to see you for more than one hour tomorrow! I only get to see you during lunch-time, and I don't like that!" Feng Jiu leaned over the table and lovingly stared at Dong Hua with her gorgeous doe eyes.

Dong Hua then looked up and pinched her cheeks, "I can't get work done when you're looking at me this way." Then he leaned in to kiss her on her lips, and Feng Jiu smiled sweetly.

Then she opened the lunch boxes and said, "Di Jun, I'll feed you while you continue to mark those papers. Here you go, open up wide! Ahhhhh." Dong Hua then opened his mouth, and Feng Jiu fed him his lunch while also eating her own lunch.

"I wonder how the swimming class would be like. I hope it's not going to be as tiring as yesterday! I was exhausted, and I couldn't even stay up." Feng Jiu whined.

"Yes, Xiao Bai. You didn't even make it up to me last night." Dong Hua replied calmly, and then he briefly looked up at her.

"I'm sorry, my dear husband! I promise, tonight we will have that swimming lesson! I'll show you my breaststroke swimming, and you can teach me freestyle swimming."

Dong Hua immediately widened his eyes and looked up at her, "Oh? You must be a good swimmer then."

"Of course. I'm good at everything!" She replied proudly.

Suddenly he remembered that Feng Jiu is going for her swimming classes and he didn't want any guys to see her in her swimsuit. Even if she was wearing a full suit, he still didn't like that idea at all.

"Xiao Bai, I'm sorry, but I'm swamped with work here. I'll see you after school, okay? I love you." Then he quickly tried to chase her out.

"But... Why can't you use powers to mark those papers?"

"No, I want to read it and make sure that it's right. After all, they wrote about me and my past achievements, so I would know best if it was right or wrong."

Feng Jiu pouted and replied, "Okay then... I'll see you after school. I love you too." Then they had a nice sweet kiss before she left the office.

Dong Hua immediately summoned the rain god, Yu Shen (雨神) God of Rain.

"Your Majesty, it's a great honour to meet you. May I know why did you summon me?" Yu Shen bowed politely to Dong Hua.

"Oh, I just need a small favour from you. Would you be able to cast a rainstorm over this school now?" Dong Hua replied casually.

"If I may be so bold to ask the reason behind that? I'm asking because I would need to be granted special permission to be able to summon rain."

"It's too hot in here. I'll grant you permission now, so do what I say." Dong Hua then used his powers to create a special permission grant, written in black and white.

"Yes, Your Majesty. I will do so immediately after I leave. Is there anything else that I could do for you?"

"Oh, yes. Make sure that it rains for more than 2 hours until school ends at 4 PM." Dong Hua replied calmly.

"Yes, Your Majesty. I'll take my leave now." Yu Shen bowed again and disappeared into thin air.

"Sorry, Xiao Bai. You can 'swim' with me tonight instead."
